¹Ko pa je bil Jozue že star in prileten, mu reče GOSPOD: Star si in prileten, in še je ostalo dosti dežele, ki naj bi jo vzeli v posest.

¹And Joshua is old, entering into days, and Jehovah saith unto him, `Thou hast become aged, thou hast entered into days; as to the land, very much hath been left to possess.

²To je dežela, ki je še ostala: vse pokrajine Filistejcev in vse Gesursko,

²`This [is] the land that is left; all the circuits of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,

³od Sihorja, ki teče poleg Egipta, tja do meje Ekrona ob severu, kar se šteje h Kanaancem; pet kneževin Filistejcev, Gaza, Asdod, Askelon, Gat, Ekron; tudi kraj Avimcev

³from Sihor which [is] on the front of Egypt, and unto the border of Ekron northward, to the Canaanite it is reckoned, five princes of the Philistines, the Gazathite, and the Ashdothite, the Eshkalonite, the Gittite, and the Ekronite, also the Avim.

⁴proti jugu; vsa pokrajina Kanaancev in Meara, ki je Sidoncev, tja do Afeka, do meje Amorejcev;

⁴`From the south, all the land of the Canaanite, and Mearah, which [is] to the Sidonians, unto Aphek, unto the border of the Amorite;

⁵in vsa pokrajina Gebaljanov in ves Libanon, proti solnčnemu vzhodu, od Baalgada, spodaj ob gori Hermonu do poti v Hamat.

⁵and the land of the Giblite, and all Lebanon, at the sun-rising, from Baal-Gad under mount Hermon, unto the going in to Hamath:

⁶Vsi gorjanci od Libanona do Misrefotmajima in vsi Sidonci. Nje hočem izgnati pred sinovi Izraelovimi, samo razdéli jih po žrebu v dediščino Izraelu, kakor sem ti zapovedal.

⁶all the inhabitants of the hill-country, from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-Maim, all the Sidonians: I — I dispossess them before the sons of Israel; only, cause it to fall to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.

⁷Razdéli torej to deželo v dediščino devetim rodovom in polovici Manasejevega rodu.

⁷`And now, apportion this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh,` —

⁸Kajti Rubenovci in Gadovci so prejeli svojo dediščino z drugo Manasejevo polovico, ki jo jim je dal Mojzes za Jordanom, proti vzhodu; kakor jim je oddelil Mojzes, hlapec GOSPODOV.

⁸with it the Reubenite, and the Gadite, have received their inheritance, which Moses hath given to them beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses servant of Jehovah hath given to them;

⁹Od Aroerja, ki leži ob bregu potoka Arnona, in od mesta, ki je sredi doline, in vso ravnino Medebo do Dibona,

⁹from Aroer, which [is] on the edge of the brook Arnon, and the city which [is] in the midst of the brook, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dihon,

¹⁰in vsa mesta Sihona, kralja Amorejcev, ki je gospodoval v Hesbonu, prav do meje Amonovih sinov;

¹⁰and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the Bene-Ammon,

¹¹k temu Gilead in pokrajino Gesurcev in Maakatovcev in vso goro Hermon in ves Basan tja do Salke;

¹¹and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurite, and of the Maachathite, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;

¹²vse Ogovo kraljestvo v Basanu, ki je gospodoval v Astarotu in v Edreju in je bil iz ostanka velikanov; in Mojzes jih je premagal in pregnal.

¹²all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei; he was left of the remnant of the Rephaim, and Moses doth smite them, and dispossess them;

¹³A Izraelovi sinovi niso izgnali Gesurcev in Maakatovcev, temuč Gesur in Maakat sta prebivala med Izraelovimi sinovi do današnjega dne. –

¹³and the sons of Israel dispossessed not the Geshurite, and the Maachathite; and Geshur and Maachath dwell in the midst of Israel unto this day.

¹⁴Samo Levijevemu rodu ni dal dediščine; ognjene žrtve GOSPODU, Izraelovemu Bogu, so njih dediščina, kakor mu je govoril.

¹⁴Only, to the tribe of Levi he hath not given an inheritance; fire-offerings of Jehovah, God of Israel, is its inheritance, as He hath spoken to it.

¹⁵Dal pa je Mojzes rodu Rubenovih sinov po njih rodovinah,

¹⁵And Moses giveth to the tribe of the sons of Reuben, for their families;

¹⁶da je bila njih pokrajina od Aroerja, ki leži na bregu potoka Arnona, in mesto sredi doline in vsa ravnina pri Medebi;

¹⁶and the border is to them from Aroer, which [is] on the edge of the brook Arnon, and the city which [is] in the midst of the brook, and all the plain by Medeba,

¹⁷Hesbon in vsa njegova mesta, ki so na ravnini: Dibon, Bamotbal, Betbalmeon,

¹⁷Heshbon, and all its cities which [are] in the plain, Dibon, and Bamoth-Baal, and Beth-Baal-Meon,

¹⁸Jahaz, Kedemot in Mefat,

¹⁸and Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,

¹⁹Kirjataim, Sibma in Zeret-sahar na hribu v dolini,

¹⁹and Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-Shahar, in the mount of the valley,

²⁰Bet-peor in strmine Pizge in Bet-jesimot

²⁰and Beth-Peor, and the springs of Pisgah, and Beth-Jeshimoth,

²¹in vsa mesta na ravnini in vse kraljestvo Sihona, kralja Amorejcev, ki je gospodoval v Hesbonu; njega je Mojzes porazil in madianske kneze, Evija, Rekema, Zura, Hura in Reba, poglavarje Sihonove, ki so prebivali v deželi.

²¹and all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote, with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, princes of Sihon, inhabitants of the land.

²²Tudi Balaama sina Beorjevega, vedeža, so sinovi Izraelovi umorili z mečem med drugimi ubitimi.

²²And Balaam, son of Beor, the diviner, have the sons of Israel slain with the sword, among their wounded ones.

²³In meja Rubenovim sinovom je bil Jordan in njegovo obrežje. To je dediščina Rubenovih sinov po njih rodovinah, mesta in njih sela.

²³And the border of the sons of Reuben is the Jordan, and [its] border; this [is] the inheritance of the sons of Reuben, for their families, the cities and their villages.

²⁴In rodu Gadovih sinov je dal Mojzes po njih rodovinah,

²⁴And Moses giveth to the tribe of Gad, to the sons of Gad, for their families;

²⁵da je bila njih pokrajina: Jazer in vsa mesta v Gileadu in polovica dežele Amonovih sinov tja do Aroerja, ki je pred Rabo;

²⁵and the border is to them Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and the half of the land of the Bene-Ammon, unto Aroer which [is] on the front of Rabbah,

²⁶in od Hesbona do Ramat-micpe in Betonima in od Mahanaima do debirskih mej;

²⁶and from Heshbon unto Ramath-Mispeh, and Betonim, and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir,

²⁷v dolini pa Bet-haram, Bet-nimra, Suhot in Zafon, ostanek kraljestva Sihona, kralja v Hesbonu, in Jordan z obrežjem do zadnjega kraja morja Kineretskega, ki je za Jordanom, proti vzhodu.

²⁷and in the valley, Beth-Aram, and Beth-Nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan and [its] border, unto the extremity of the sea of Chinnereth, beyond the Jordan, eastward.

²⁸To je dediščina Gadovih sinov po njih rodovinah, mesta in njih sela.

²⁸This [is] the inheritance of the sons of Gad, for their families, the cities and their villages.

²⁹In Mojzes je dal dediščino polovici Manasejevega rodu; in prejela je polovica rodu Manasejevih sinov po svojih rodovinah,

²⁹And Moses giveth to the half of the tribe of Manasseh; and it is to the half of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, for their families.

³⁰da je bila njih pokrajina: od Mahanaima ves Basan, vse kraljestvo Oga, kralja v Basanu, in vsi Jairovi trgi, ki so v Basanu, šestdeset mest.

³⁰And their border is from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the small towns of Jair, which [are] in Bashan, sixty cities;

³¹In polovico Gileada in Astarot in Edrej, mesta Ogovega kraljestva v Basanu, so dobili sinovi Mahirja, Manasejevega sinu, polovica Mahirjevih sinov po njih rodovinah.

³¹and the half of Gilead, and Ashteroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [are] to the sons of Machir, son of Manasseh, to the half of the sons of Machir, for their families.

³²Te so dediščine, ki jih je Mojzes razdelil na poljanah Moabskih, vzhodno od Jordana, Jerihu nasproti.Ali Levijevemu rodu ni dal Mojzes dediščine, zakaj GOSPOD, Bog Izraelov, je njih dediščina, kakor jim je govoril.

³²These [are] they whom Moses caused to inherit in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan, [by] Jericho, eastward;

³³and to the tribe of Levi Moses gave not an inheritance; Jehovah, God of Israel, Himself [is] their inheritance, as He hath spoken to them.
