¹Zopet mi je prišla beseda GOSPODOVA, govoreč:

¹Again the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

²Sin človečji, oznani Jeruzalemu gnusobe njegove

²Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations;

³in reci: Tako pravi Gospod Jehova Jeruzalemu: Izvir tvoj in rojstvo tvoje je iz dežele Kanaancev; oče tvoj je bil Amorejec, mati tvoja pa Hetejka.

³and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh to Jerusalem: Your birth and your birth is of the land of the Canaanite; the Amorite was your father, and your mother was a Hittite.

⁴In kar se tiče rojstva tvojega – v dan, ko si bila rojena, ti ni bil popek odrezan, tudi nisi bila z vodo umita, da bi bila očiščena, niti s soljo nisi bila odrgnjena, ne v plenice povita.

⁴As for your birth, in the day you were born your navel was not cut, neither were you washed in water to cleanse you; you weren’t salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

⁵Nobeno oko se ni milosrčno ozrlo nate, da ti stori teh reči eno, da se ti izkaže usmiljenje; bila si pa na polje vržena, ker jim je mrzelo življenje tvoje, v dan rojstva svojega.

⁵No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you, to have compassion on you; but you were cast out in the open field, for that your person was abhorred, in the day that you were born.

⁶Tedaj sem šel mimo tebe in, videč te, da se valjaš v krvi svoji, sem ti rekel: Čeprav si v krvi svoji, žívi! res, rekel sem ti: v krvi svoji žívi!

⁶When I passed by you, and saw you wallowing in your blood, I said to you, Though you are in your blood, live; yes, I said to you, Though you are in your blood, live.

⁷V desettisoči, kakor rastline na polju, sem te naredil, in vzrasla si in postala velika in dospela do dražestne milobe: prsi so se ti napele in lasje ti zrasli; ali naga si bila in gola.

⁷I caused you to multiply as that which grows in the field, and you increased and grew great, and you attained to excellent ornament; your breasts were fashioned, and your hair was grown; yet you were naked and bare.

⁸Ko sem pa šel mimo tebe in te pogledal, glej, čas tvoj je bil čas ljubezni; tedaj sem čezte pregrnil krilo svoje in zakril goloto tvojo; in prisegel sem ti ter zavezo storil s teboj, govori Gospod Jehova, in postala si moja.

⁸Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you, says the Lord Yahweh, and you became mine.

⁹Nato sem te umil z vodo in te opral tvoje krvi in te pomazilil z oljem.

⁹Then washed I you with water; yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.

¹⁰In oblekel sem te s pisanim oblačilom in ti obul tjulenje kože in te opasal s tenčico in ogrnil s svilo;

¹⁰I clothed you also with embroidered work, and shod you with sealskin, and I dressed you about with fine linen, and covered you with silk.

¹¹in olepotil sem te z lepotičjem: zapestnice sem ti del na roke in verižico na grlo,

¹¹I decked you with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your hands, and a chain on your neck.

¹²in vtaknil sem ti obroček v nos in uhane v ušesa in ti položil krasen venec na glavo.

¹²I put a ring on your nose, and earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.

¹³In tako si bila olepšana z zlatom in srebrom, in obleka tvoja je bila iz tenčice, svile in pisane tkanine; jedla si belo moko in med in olje. In bila si silno lepa ter si dosegla kraljestva.

¹³Thus you were decked with gold and silver; and your clothing was of fine linen, and silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, and honey, and oil; and you were exceeding beautiful, and you prospered to royal estate.

¹⁴In tvoje ime je zaslovelo med narodi zaradi lepote tvoje, ker je bila dovršena po veličastju mojem, s katerim sem te obdal, govori Gospod Jehova.

¹⁴Your renown went forth among the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put on you, says the Lord Yahweh.

¹⁵Ali ti si se zanesla na lepoto svojo in si se vdala nečistovanju vsled slovečega imena svojega, trosila si nečistosti svoje na vsakega mimogredočega: lahko je užival lepote tvoje.

¹⁵But you trusted in your beauty, and played the prostitute because of your renown, and poured out your prostitution on everyone who passed by; his it was.

¹⁶In vzela si od svojih oblačil in sebi napravila pisane višave in na njih nečistovala – kaj takega se več ne primeri in ne zgodi.

¹⁶You took of your garments, and made for yourselves high places decked with various colors, and played the prostitute on them: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

¹⁷Vzela si tudi krasne dragotine svoje iz mojega zlata in iz mojega srebra, ki sem ti jih bil dal, in naredila si sebi moških podob in nečistovala ž njimi;

¹⁷You also took your beautiful jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself images of men, and played the prostitute with them;

¹⁸in s pisanimi oblačili svojimi si jih pregrinjala in moje olje in kadilo si prednje polagala.

¹⁸and you took your embroidered garments, and covered them, and set my oil and my incense before them.

¹⁹Tudi kruh moj, ki sem ti ga dal, belo moko in olje in med, s katerim sem te hranil, si polagala prednje v prijetno dišavo. To se je godilo, govori Gospod Jehova.

¹⁹My bread also which I gave you, fine flour, and oil, and honey, with which I fed you, you even set it before them for a pleasant aroma; and thus it was, says the Lord Yahweh.

²⁰Vrhutega si jemala sinove in hčere svoje, ki si jih rodila meni, in jih darovala njim v žrtje. Je li majhna reč nečistovanje tvoje,

²⁰Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me, and you have sacrificed these to them to be devoured. Was your prostitution a small matter,

²¹da si morila otroke moje ter jih izročala, naj gredo njim v čast skozi ogenj?

²¹that you have slain my children, and delivered them up, in causing them to pass through the fire to them?

²²In pri vseh gnusobah svojih in nečistovanju svojem se nisi spominjala dni mladosti svoje, kako si bila naga in gola in si se valjala v krvi svoji!

²²In all your abominations and your prostitution you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, and were wallowing in your blood.

²³In zgodilo se je po vsej hudobnosti tvoji (gorje, gorje ti! govori Gospod Jehova),

²³It has happened after all your wickedness, (woe, woe to you! says the Lord Yahweh),

²⁴da si si zgradila hram in naredila vzvišen kraj v vsaki ulici;

²⁴that you have built for yourselves a vaulted place, and have made yourselves a lofty place in every street.

²⁵ob vsakem razpotju si zgradila vzvišen kraj svoj, in skrunila si lepoto svojo in svoje noge razvirala vsem, ki so mimo šli, in množila si nečistovanje svoje.

²⁵You have built your lofty place at the head of every way, and have made your beauty an abomination, and have opened your feet to everyone who passed by, and multiplied your prostitution.

²⁶Nečistovala si tudi z Egipčani, sosedi svojimi velikih udov, in si množila nečistovanje svoje, da bi me dražila v jezo.

²⁶You have also committed sexual immorality with the Egyptians, your neighbors, great of flesh; and have multiplied your prostitution, to provoke me to anger.

²⁷In glej, iztegnil sem roko svojo zoper tebe in zmanjšal določeni ti živež in te izročil volji sovražilk tvojih, hčer filistejskih, ki jih je bilo sram nesramnega počenjanja tvojega.

²⁷See therefore, I have stretched out my hand over you, and have diminished your ordinary food, and delivered you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd way.

²⁸Vdala si se nečistovanju tudi z Asirci, ker se nisi mogla nasititi, in nečistovala si ž njimi, pa še nisi bila sita.

²⁸You have played the prostitute also with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; yes, you have played the prostitute with them, and yet you weren’t satisfied.

²⁹Potem si pomnožila nečistovanje svoje proti deželi tržnikov, proti Kaldeji, a še tega nisi bila sita.

²⁹You have moreover multiplied your prostitution to the land of merchants, to Chaldea; and yet you weren’t satisfied with this.

³⁰Kako ti omedleva srce, govori Gospod Jehova, ko vse to počenjaš, delo razuzdane nečistnice,

³⁰How weak is your heart, says the Lord Yahweh, since you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute;

³¹da si gradiš hram ob vsakem razpotju in vzvišen kraj svoj v vsaki ulici. In nisi bila kakor navadna nečistnica, ker si zaničevala plačilo,

³¹in that you build your vaulted place at the head of every way, and make your lofty place in every street, and have not been as a prostitute, in that you scorn pay.

³²tudi ne kakor žena prešeštnica, ki namesto svojega moža sprejema druge.

³²A wife who commits adultery! who takes strangers instead of her husband!

³³Vsem nečistnicam dajó darila, ali ti si dajala darila vsem ljubovnikom svojim in si jih podkupovala, da bi od vseh strani prihajali k tebi nečistovat s teboj.

³³They give gifts to all prostitutes; but you give your gifts to all your lovers, and bribe them, that they may come to you on every side for your prostitution.

³⁴In bilo je pri tebi naopak kakor pri drugih ženskah, da niso hodili za teboj nečistovat: zakaj sama si dajala plačilo, tebi pa niso dajali plačila, bilo je torej s teboj naopak.

³⁴You are different from other women in your prostitution, in that no one follows you to play the prostitute; and whereas you give hire, and no hire is given to you, therefore you are different.

³⁵Zato čuj, nečistnica, besedo GOSPODOVO!

³⁵Therefore, prostitute, hear the word of Yahweh:

³⁶Tako pravi Gospod Jehova: Ker se je razlila nesramnost tvoja in je nagota tvoja bila odkrita v nečistovanju tvojem z ljubovniki tvojimi in zaradi vseh pregnusobnih malikov tvojih in za kri otrok tvojih, ki si jih jim dala:

³⁶Thus says the Lord Yahweh, Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness uncovered through your prostitution with your lovers; and because of all the idols of your abominations, and for the blood of your children, that you gave to them;

³⁷zato, glej, zberem vse ljubovnike tvoje, ki si jim bila prijetna, in vse, ki si jih ljubila, z vsemi, ki si jih sovražila, zberem jih od vseh strani zoper tebe in odgrnem pred njimi nagoto tvojo, da bi videli vso nagoto tvojo.

³⁷therefore see, I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure, and all those who you have loved, with all those who you have hated; I will even gather them against you on every side, and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness.

³⁸In sodil te bom, kakor so sojene žene, ki kršijo zakon in moré otroke, in pustim te izkrvaveti v srdu in gorečnosti.

³⁸I will judge you, as women who break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

³⁹In izročim te v njih pest, da podero hrame tvoje in porušijo vzvišene kraje tvoje ter strgajo s tebe oblačilo in pobero krasne dragotine tvoje in te puste nago in razodeto ležati.

³⁹I will also give you into their hand, and they shall throw down your vaulted place, and break down your lofty places; and they shall strip you of your clothes, and take your beautiful jewels; and they shall leave you naked and bare.

⁴⁰In pripeljejo gori nadte zbor sovražnikov in te s kamenjem posujejo in razsekajo z meči.

⁴⁰They shall also bring up a company against you, and they shall stone you with stones, and thrust you through with their swords.

⁴¹In požgó hiše tvoje z ognjem ter store sodbo nad teboj pred očmi mnogih žen. In tako storim, da nehaš nečistovati in plačila tudi ne boš več dajala.

⁴¹They shall burn your houses with fire, and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women; and I will cause you to cease from playing the prostitute, and you shall also give no hire any more.

⁴²In s tem pomirim togoto svojo nad teboj in gorečnost moja se umakne od tebe, in bodem miren in se ne bom več jezil.

⁴²So will I cause my wrath toward you to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from you, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

⁴³Ker se nisi spominjala dni mladosti svoje, temuč si me dražila z vsem tem, zato, glej, sem ti spravil tvoje dejanje na glavo, govori Gospod Jehova, da ne bi več počenjala te nesramnosti poleg vseh gnusob svojih.

⁴³Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have raged against me in all these things; therefore, behold, I also will bring your way on your head, says the Lord Yahweh: and you shall not commit this lewdness with all your abominations.

⁴⁴Glej, sleherni, kdor rabi pregovore, obrne ta pregovor nate, govoreč: Kakršna mati, taka njena hči.

⁴⁴Behold, everyone who uses proverbs shall use this proverb against you, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

⁴⁵Ti si matere svoje hči, ki je odpahnila moža svojega in otroke svoje, in sestra si svojih sester, ki so se iznebile mož in otrok svojih. Mati vaša je bila Hetejka in oče vaš Amorejec.

⁴⁵You are the daughter of your mother, who loathes her husband and her children; and you are the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children: your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

⁴⁶Starejša sestra tvoja pa je Samarija s hčerami svojimi, ki prebiva tebi na levici; in mlajša sestra, ki prebiva tebi na desno, je Sodoma s hčerami svojimi.

⁴⁶Your elder sister is Samaria, who dwells at your left hand, she and her daughters; and your younger sister, who dwells at your right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

⁴⁷Toda nisi hodila po njih potih, ne delala po njih gnusobah; ali kakor da bi to bilo malo, si bolj popačeno ravnala na vseh svojih potih nego one.

⁴⁷Yet have you not walked in their ways, nor done after their abominations; but, as if that were a very little thing , you were more corrupt than they in all your ways.

⁴⁸Resnično, kakor živim, govori Gospod Jehova: Sodoma, sestra tvoja, ona in hčere njene niso delale kakor ti s svojimi hčerami!

⁴⁸As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, Sodom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters.

⁴⁹Glej, to je bila pregreha sestre tvoje Sodome: v prevzetnosti, v vsem obilju in brezskrbnem pokoju je živela s hčerami svojimi, roke pa ubogim in potrebnim ni pokrepčala;

⁴⁹Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

⁵⁰a prevzetovale so in počenjale gnusobe pred mojimi očmi. Zato sem jih odpravil, ko sem bil to videl.

⁵⁰They were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

⁵¹Samarija tudi polovice tvojih grehov ni zagrešila; ti si pomnožila gnusobe svoje bolj nego onidve in si pravičnejši izkazala sestri svoji po vseh gnusobah, kar si jih zakrivila.

⁵¹Neither has Samaria committed half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they, and have justified your sisters by all your abominations which you have done.

⁵²Zatorej nosi tudi ti sramoto svojo, ki si jo prisodila svojima sestrama; po tvojih grehih, ki si jih gnusneje počenjala nego onidve, sta oni pravičnejši od tebe. Torej bodi tudi ti osramočena in nosi sramoto svojo, ker si pravičnejši izkazala sestri svoji.

⁵²You also, bear you your own shame, in that you have given judgment for your sisters; through your sins that you have committed more abominable than they, they are more righteous that you: yes, be also confounded, and bear your shame, in that you have justified your sisters.

⁵³Hočem pa nazaj pripeljati njiju ujetništvo, ujetnike Sodome in njenih hčera in ujetnike Samarije in njenih hčera, pa tudi tvoje ujetnike med njimi;

⁵³I will turn again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and the captivity of your captives in their midst;

⁵⁴da naj nosiš sramoto svojo in se sramuješ vsega, kar si storila, ko jima bodeš v tolažbo.

⁵⁴that you may bear your own shame, and may be ashamed because of all that you have done, in that you are a comfort to them.

⁵⁵In tvoji sestri, Sodoma in hčere njene, tudi Samarija in hčere njene se povrnejo v prejšnji stan svoj, pa tudi ti in hčere tvoje se povrnete v prejšnji stan svoj.

⁵⁵Your sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate; and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate; and you and your daughters shall return to your former estate.

⁵⁶Kajti o Sodomi, sestri tvoji, ni bilo slišati iz ust tvojih v dan prevzetovanja tvojega,

⁵⁶For your sister Sodom was not mentioned by your mouth in the day of your pride,

⁵⁷preden je bila razodeta hudobnost tvoja, kakor ob času, ko so te zasmehovale hčere sirske in vse, ki so okoli nje, hčere filistejske, ki so te zaničevale kroginkrog.

⁵⁷before your wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria, and of all who are around her, the daughters of the Philistines, who do despite to you all around.

⁵⁸Nesramnost svojo in gnusobe svoje, ti jih boš nosila, govori GOSPOD.

⁵⁸You have borne your lewdness and your abominations, says Yahweh.

⁵⁹Kajti tako pravi Gospod Jehova: Prav tako bom s teboj delal, kakor si ti delala, ki si v nič dejala prisego, prelomivši zavezo.

⁵⁹For thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also deal with you as you have done, who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

⁶⁰Vendar se bom spominjal zaveze svoje s teboj v dneh mladosti tvoje in ti ustanovim zavezo večno.

⁶⁰Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant.

⁶¹Tedaj se boš spominjala potov svojih in se sramovala, ko prejmeš k sebi sestri svoji, starejši od tebe, z mlajšimi vred, ko ti jih dam za hčere, ali ne na podlagi zaveze tvoje.

⁶¹Then you shall remember your ways, and be ashamed, when you shall receive your sisters, your elder sisters and your younger; and I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant.

⁶²In ustanovim s teboj zavezo svojo, in spoznaš, da sem jaz GOSPOD:da bi se spominjala in sramovala in nikdar ne odprla ust svojih zaradi sramote svoje, ko ti odpustim vse, kar si storila, govori Gospod Jehova.

⁶²I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall know that I am Yahweh;

⁶³da bi se spominjala in sramovala in nikdar ne odprla ust svojih zaradi sramote svoje, ko ti odpustim vse, kar si storila, govori Gospod Jehova.

⁶³that you may remember, and be confounded, and never open your mouth any more, because of your shame, when I have forgiven you all that you have done, says the Lord Yahweh.
