104

1Rumbidza Jehovha, mweya wangu! Jehovha Mwari wangu, muri mukuru kwazvo; Makafukidzwa nokukudzwa noumambo.
1Bless Jehovah, O my soul! Jehovah my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with majesty and splendour;
2imwi munozvifukidza nechiedza sechisimiro; Munotatamura kudenga-denga somucheka wetende;
2Covering thyself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent-curtain; --
3Ndiye anoteya matanda edzimba dzake mumvura; Anoita makore ngoro yake; Anofamba pamusoro pamapapiro emhepo
3Who layeth the beams of his upper chambers in the waters, who maketh clouds his chariot, who walketh upon the wings of the wind;
4Anoita mhepo nhume dzake; Nomoto, unopfuta, vashumiri vake;
4Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flame of fire.
5Akateya nheyo dzapasi; Kuti parege kuzununguswa nokusingaperi,
5He laid the earth upon its foundations: it shall not be removed for ever.
6Makapafukidza nemvura yakadzika sechisimiro; Mvura zhinji yakamira pamusoro pamakomo,
6Thou hadst covered it with the deep, as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains:
7Makati muchituka ikatiza; inzwi rokutinhira kwenyu rakati richinzwika, ikachimbidzika kuenda-
7At thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away; --
8Makomo akakwira, mipata yakaderera- ikaenda kunzvimbo yamakaigadzirira,
8The mountains rose, the valleys sank, unto the place which thou hadst founded for them; --
9Makaitarira muganhu, kuti irege kudarika; Kuti irege kudzoka kuzofukidza pasizve.
9Thou hast set a bound which they may not pass over, that they turn not again to cover the earth.
10Anotuma matsime mumipata; Mvura inoyerera napakati pamakomo;
10He sendeth the springs into the valleys: they run among the mountains;
11Anomwisa mhuka dzose dzesango; Mbizi dzinopedza nyota yadzo.
11They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.
12Shiri dzokudenga dzinogara paari, Dzinorira pakati pamatavi.
12The birds of heaven dwell by them; they give forth their voice from among the branches.
13Anodiridza makomo ari padzimba dzake; Pasi panogutiswa nechibereko chamabasa enyu.
13He watereth the mountains from his upper-chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
14Anomeresa uswa bwezvipfuwo, Nemiriwo, inobatsira vanhu; Kuti abudise zvokudya pasi;
14He maketh the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; bringing forth bread out of the earth,
15Newaini inofadza moyo womunhu, Namafuta anobwinyisa chiso chake, Nechingwa chinosimbisa moyo womunhu.
15And wine which gladdeneth the heart of man; making [his] face shine with oil; and with bread he strengtheneth man's heart.
16Miti yaJehovha inoguta; Iyo misidhari yeRebhanoni yaakasima;
16The trees of Jehovah are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted,
17Apo panovaka shiri matendere adzo, Kana riri zimudo, miti yemisipiresi ndiyo imba yaro.
17Where the birds make their nests; [as for] the stork, the fir trees are her house.
18Makomo marefu ndeetsoma; Matombo ndihwo utiziro bwembira.
18The high mountains are for the wild goats; the cliffs, a refuge for the rock-badgers.
19Akatara mwedzi kuti uratidze nguva; Zuva rinoziva nguva yokuvira kwaro.
19He made the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth its going down.
20Munoita rima, usiku ndokuvapo; Panguva iyo mhuka dzose dzedondo dzinobuda.
20Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth:
21Vana veshumba vanoomba vachitsvaka zvavangauraya, Vanotsvaka zvokudya zvavo kuna Mwari.
21The young lions roar after the prey, and to seek their food from ùGod.
22Kana zuva richibuda, dzinoenda hadzo, Dzichindovata mumapako adzo.
22The sun ariseth, they retreat, and lay them down in their dens.
23Zvino munhu obudira kubasa rake. Nokumurimo wake kusvikira madekwana.
23Man goeth forth unto his work, and to his labour until the evening.
24Haiwa Jehovha, mabasa enyu mazhinji sei! Makaaita ose nenjere; Pasi pazere nefuma yenyu.
24How manifold are thy works, O Jehovah! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
25Hero gungwa, rakakura ibamhi, Mukati maro mune zvinhu zvinokambaira zvisingagoni kuverengwa, Zvipenyu zviduku nezvikuru.
25Yonder is the great and wide sea: therein are moving things innumerable, living creatures small and great.
26Hezvo zvikepe, zvinofamba; Heyo ngwena yamakaumba, kuti itambe mariri.
26There go the ships; [there] that leviathan, which thou hast formed to play therein.
27Izvi zvose zvinokumirirai, Kuti muzvipe zvokudya zvazvo nenguva yakafanira.
27These all look unto thee, that thou mayest give their food in its season:
28Zvamunozvipa imi, ndizvo zvazvinounganidza; Munotadzanura ruoko rwenyu, izvo ndokuguta nezvakanaka.
28That thou givest unto them, they gather; thou openest thy hand, they are filled with good.
29Munovanza chiso chenyu, izvo ndokuvhunduswa; Munozvitorera mweya wazvo, izvo ndokufa, Zvichidzokera kuguruva razvo.
29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their breath, they expire and return to their dust.
30Munotuma mweya wenyu, izvo ndokusikwa; Munovandudza chiso chevhu.
30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, and thou renewest the face of the earth.
31Kubwinya kwaJehovha ngakugare nokusingaperi; Jehovha ngaafarire mabasa ake;
31The glory of Jehovah will endure for ever; Jehovah will rejoice in his works.
32Iye anotarira pasi, ipo ndokubvunda; Unobata makomo, iwo ndokubudisa utsi.
32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; he toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.
33Ndichaimbira Jehovha panguva yose youpenyu hwangu; Ndichaimbira Mwari wangu nziyo dzokurumbidza ndichiripo.
33I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live; I will sing psalms to my God while I have my being.
34Kurangarira kwangu ngakumufadze; Ndichafara kwazvo muna Jehovha.
34My meditation shall be pleasant unto him; I will rejoice in Jehovah.
35Vatadzi ngavaparadzwe pasi, Navakaipa ngavarege kuzovapo. Rumbidzai Jehovha, mweya wangu. Hareruya
35Sinners shall be consumed out of the earth, and the wicked shall be no more. Bless Jehovah, O my soul. Hallelujah!
