105

1Vongai Jehovha, mudane zita rake; Zivisai zvaakaita pakati pendudzi dzavanhu.
1Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.
2Muimbirei, mumuimbire nziyo dzokukudza; Rondedzerai mabasa ake ose anoshamisa.
2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.
3Zvirumbidzei muzita rake dzvene; moyo yavanotsvaka Jehovha ngaifare kwazvo.
3Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.
4Tsvakai Jehovha nesimba rake; Tsvakai chiso chake nguva dzose.
4Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;
5Rangarirai mabasa ake anoshamisa, aakaita; Zvishamiso zvake, nezvaakatonga nomuromo wake;
5Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:
6imwi vana vaAbhurahamu, muranda wake, imwi vanakomana vaJakove, vasanangurwa vake.
6Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7Ndiye Jehovha Mwari wedu; Zvaakatonga zviri pasi pose.
7He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
8Wakarangarira sungano yake nokusingaperi, Iro shoko raakaraira kumarudzi ane chiuru;
8He is ever mindful of his covenant, -- the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, --
9Iyo sungano yaakaita naAbhurahamu, Nemhiko yake kuna Isaka.
9Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
10Akazvisimbisira Jakove, kuti uve mutemo, Kuna Isiraeri kuti ive sungano isingaperi;
10And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,
11Achiti, Ndichakupa iwe nyika yeKanani, Uve mugove wenhaka yenyu;
11Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
12Panguva yavakanga vachiri varume vashoma pakuverengwa, Zvirokwazvo, vashoma kwazvo, navatorwa mairi;
12When they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.
13Vakafamba-famba vachibva kuno rumwe rudzi vachienda kuno rumwe, Nokubva kunohumwe ushe vachienda kuna vamwe vanhu.
13And they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
14Haana kutendera munhu kuvaitira zvakaipa; Zvirokwazvo, wakatuka madzimambo nokuda kwavo;
14He suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,
15Achiti, Musagunzva vazodzwa vangu, Navaporofita vangu musavaitira chakaipa.
15[Saying,] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
16Akadana nzara kuti iuye panyika; Akavhuna mudonzvo wose wechingwa.
16And he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.
17Akatuma murume pamberi pavo; Josefa akatengeswa akava muranda;
17He sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.
18Vakakuvadza tsoka dzake nezvisungo zvesimbi, Akasungwa namaketani amatare;
18They afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;
19Kusvikira panguva yakaitika shoko rake; Shoko raJehovha rakamuidza.
19Until the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.
20Mambo akatuma nhume akamusunungura; Mubati wendudzi dzavanhu, akamuregedza.
20The king sent and loosed him -- the ruler of peoples -- and let him go free.
21Akamuita ishe weimba yake, Nomubati wefuma yake yose;
21He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:
22Kuti araire machinda ake nokuda kwake, Nokudzidzisa vakuru vake huchenjeri.
22To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
23Isiraeri akasvikawo Egipita, NaJakove wakagara ari mutorwa panyika yaHamu.
23And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24Akawanza vanhu vake kwazvo, Akavapa simba rakapfuura ravadzivisi vavo.
24And he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.
25Wakashandura moyo yavo kuti vavenge vanhu vake, kuti vanyengere varanda vake.
25He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
26Akatuma Mozisi muranda wake, NaAroni waakanga asanangura.
26He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen:
27Ivo vakaratidza zviratidzo zvake pakati pavo, Nezvishamiso panyika yaHamu.
27They set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.
28Akatuma rima, akaisvibisa; Vakasamukira mashoko ake.
28He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29Akashandura mvura yavo yose, ikaita ropa, Akauraya hove dzavo.
29He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.
30Nyika yavo yakazara namatacha, Mudzimba dzamadzimambo avo.
30Their land swarmed with frogs, -- in the chambers of their kings.
31Akataura, mapupira enhunzi akasvika, Nenda panyika yavo yose.
31He spoke, and there came dog-flies, [and] gnats in all their borders.
32Akavapa chimvuramabwe panzvimbo yemvura, Uye moto wakapfuta munyika yavo.
32He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land;
33Wakarovawo mizambiringa yavo nemionde yavo; Akavhuna-vhunawo miti yenyika yavo
33And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.
34Akataura, mhashu dzikasvika, Namagwatakwata asingagoni kuverengwa.
34He spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;
35Zvikapedza miriwo yose munyika yavo, Nokupedza zvibereko zvevhu ravo.
35And they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36Akarovawo matangwe ose munyika yavo, Ivo vokutanga vesimba ravo rose.
36And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.
37Akavabudisa vane sirivha nendarama; Kwakanga kusina nomumwe pakati pamarudzi avo wakashaiwa simba.
37And he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.
38Nyika yeEgipita yakafara pakubva kwavo, nekuti vakanga vabatwa nokutya nokuda kwavo.
38Egypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39Wakatatamura gore rikava chifukidzo; Nomoto kuzovhenekera usiku.
39He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
40Vakakumbira, akauyisa zvihuta, Akavagutisa nechingwa chakabva kudenga.
40They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41Akazarura dombo, mvura zhinji ikadzutuka; Ikayerera pakanga pakaoma sorwizi.
41He opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.
42Nekuti akarangarira shoko rake dzvene, NaAbhurahamu muranda wake.
42For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant;
43Akabudisa vanhu vake nomufaro, Navasanangurwa vake vachiimba.
43And he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;
44Akavapa nyika dzavahedheni; Vakazvitorera zvakanga zvabatwa nendudzi dzavanhu;
44And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:
45Kuti vachengete zvaakatema, Nokuteerera mirairo yake. Hareruya.
45That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!
