¹Vongai Jehovha, mudane zita rake; Zivisai zvaakaita pakati pendudzi dzavanhu.

¹Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.

²Muimbirei, mumuimbire nziyo dzokukudza; Rondedzerai mabasa ake ose anoshamisa.

²Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.

³Zvirumbidzei muzita rake dzvene; moyo yavanotsvaka Jehovha ngaifare kwazvo.

³Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

⁴Tsvakai Jehovha nesimba rake; Tsvakai chiso chake nguva dzose.

⁴Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;

⁵Rangarirai mabasa ake anoshamisa, aakaita; Zvishamiso zvake, nezvaakatonga nomuromo wake;

⁵Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:

⁶imwi vana vaAbhurahamu, muranda wake, imwi vanakomana vaJakove, vasanangurwa vake.

⁶Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.

⁷Ndiye Jehovha Mwari wedu; Zvaakatonga zviri pasi pose.

⁷He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

⁸Wakarangarira sungano yake nokusingaperi, Iro shoko raakaraira kumarudzi ane chiuru;

⁸He is ever mindful of his covenant, -- the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, --

⁹Iyo sungano yaakaita naAbhurahamu, Nemhiko yake kuna Isaka.

⁹Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

¹⁰Akazvisimbisira Jakove, kuti uve mutemo, Kuna Isiraeri kuti ive sungano isingaperi;

¹⁰And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,

¹¹Achiti, Ndichakupa iwe nyika yeKanani, Uve mugove wenhaka yenyu;

¹¹Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

¹²Panguva yavakanga vachiri varume vashoma pakuverengwa, Zvirokwazvo, vashoma kwazvo, navatorwa mairi;

¹²When they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.

¹³Vakafamba-famba vachibva kuno rumwe rudzi vachienda kuno rumwe, Nokubva kunohumwe ushe vachienda kuna vamwe vanhu.

¹³And they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.

¹⁴Haana kutendera munhu kuvaitira zvakaipa; Zvirokwazvo, wakatuka madzimambo nokuda kwavo;

¹⁴He suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,

¹⁵Achiti, Musagunzva vazodzwa vangu, Navaporofita vangu musavaitira chakaipa.

¹⁵[Saying,] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.

¹⁶Akadana nzara kuti iuye panyika; Akavhuna mudonzvo wose wechingwa.

¹⁶And he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.

¹⁷Akatuma murume pamberi pavo; Josefa akatengeswa akava muranda;

¹⁷He sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.

¹⁸Vakakuvadza tsoka dzake nezvisungo zvesimbi, Akasungwa namaketani amatare;

¹⁸They afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;

¹⁹Kusvikira panguva yakaitika shoko rake; Shoko raJehovha rakamuidza.

¹⁹Until the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.

²⁰Mambo akatuma nhume akamusunungura; Mubati wendudzi dzavanhu, akamuregedza.

²⁰The king sent and loosed him -- the ruler of peoples -- and let him go free.

²¹Akamuita ishe weimba yake, Nomubati wefuma yake yose;

²¹He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:

²²Kuti araire machinda ake nokuda kwake, Nokudzidzisa vakuru vake huchenjeri.

²²To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.

²³Isiraeri akasvikawo Egipita, NaJakove wakagara ari mutorwa panyika yaHamu.

²³And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

²⁴Akawanza vanhu vake kwazvo, Akavapa simba rakapfuura ravadzivisi vavo.

²⁴And he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.

²⁵Wakashandura moyo yavo kuti vavenge vanhu vake, kuti vanyengere varanda vake.

²⁵He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

²⁶Akatuma Mozisi muranda wake, NaAroni waakanga asanangura.

²⁶He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen:

²⁷Ivo vakaratidza zviratidzo zvake pakati pavo, Nezvishamiso panyika yaHamu.

²⁷They set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.

²⁸Akatuma rima, akaisvibisa; Vakasamukira mashoko ake.

²⁸He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

²⁹Akashandura mvura yavo yose, ikaita ropa, Akauraya hove dzavo.

²⁹He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.

³⁰Nyika yavo yakazara namatacha, Mudzimba dzamadzimambo avo.

³⁰Their land swarmed with frogs, -- in the chambers of their kings.

³¹Akataura, mapupira enhunzi akasvika, Nenda panyika yavo yose.

³¹He spoke, and there came dog-flies, [and] gnats in all their borders.

³²Akavapa chimvuramabwe panzvimbo yemvura, Uye moto wakapfuta munyika yavo.

³²He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land;

³³Wakarovawo mizambiringa yavo nemionde yavo; Akavhuna-vhunawo miti yenyika yavo

³³And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.

³⁴Akataura, mhashu dzikasvika, Namagwatakwata asingagoni kuverengwa.

³⁴He spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;

³⁵Zvikapedza miriwo yose munyika yavo, Nokupedza zvibereko zvevhu ravo.

³⁵And they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.

³⁶Akarovawo matangwe ose munyika yavo, Ivo vokutanga vesimba ravo rose.

³⁶And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.

³⁷Akavabudisa vane sirivha nendarama; Kwakanga kusina nomumwe pakati pamarudzi avo wakashaiwa simba.

³⁷And he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.

³⁸Nyika yeEgipita yakafara pakubva kwavo, nekuti vakanga vabatwa nokutya nokuda kwavo.

³⁸Egypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.

³⁹Wakatatamura gore rikava chifukidzo; Nomoto kuzovhenekera usiku.

³⁹He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.

⁴⁰Vakakumbira, akauyisa zvihuta, Akavagutisa nechingwa chakabva kudenga.

⁴⁰They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

⁴¹Akazarura dombo, mvura zhinji ikadzutuka; Ikayerera pakanga pakaoma sorwizi.

⁴¹He opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.

⁴²Nekuti akarangarira shoko rake dzvene, NaAbhurahamu muranda wake.

⁴²For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant;

⁴³Akabudisa vanhu vake nomufaro, Navasanangurwa vake vachiimba.

⁴³And he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;

⁴⁴Akavapa nyika dzavahedheni; Vakazvitorera zvakanga zvabatwa nendudzi dzavanhu;

⁴⁴And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:

⁴⁵Kuti vachengete zvaakatema, Nokuteerera mirairo yake. Hareruya.

⁴⁵That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!
