¹Vongai Jehovha, nekuti iye wakanaka; nekuti tsitsi dzake dzinogara nokusingaperi

¹Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.

²Vakadzikunurwa naJehovha ngavadaro, Ivo vakadzikunurwa muruoko rwomudzivisi;

²Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the oppressor,

³Akavavunganidza panyika dzose kumabvazuva nekumavirira, kumusoro nezasi.

³And gathered out of the countries, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.

⁴vakafamba-famba murenje munzira yomugwenga;Havana kuwana muguta mavangagara

⁴They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way, they found no city of habitation;

⁵vakafa nenzara nenyota,Mweya yavo ikaziya mukati mavo.

⁵Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them:

⁶Ipapo vakachema kuna Jehovha pakutambudzika kwavo, Iye akavarwira panjodzi dzavo.

⁶Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses,

⁷Wakavafambisawo nenzira yakarurama, Kuti vasvike kuguta rokugara.

⁷And he led them forth by a right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

⁸Haiwa, dai vanhu vachirumbidza Jehovha nokuda kokunaka kwake, Uye nokuda kwamabasa ake, anoshamisa, aakaitira vanakomana vavanhu!

⁸Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;

⁹Nekuti anogutisa mweya, une nyota, Uye mweya, une nzara, anouzadza nezvakanaka.

⁹For he hath satisfied the longing soul and filled the hungry soul with good.

¹⁰Ndivo, vakanga vagere murima nomumvuri worufu, Vakanga vakasungwa mukutambudzika namatare,

¹⁰Such as inhabit darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron,

¹¹nekuti vakamukira mashoko aMwari, Vakashora zano reWekumusoro-soro;

¹¹Because they had rebelled against the words of ùGod, and had despised the counsel of the Most High; ...

¹²Saka wakaninipisa moyo yavo nokutambura; Vakawira pasi, kukasava nomunhu anobatsira.

¹²And he bowed down their heart with labour; they stumbled, and there was none to help:

¹³Ipapo vakachema kuna Jehovha panhamo yavo, Akavaponesa pamatambudziko avo.

¹³Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saved them out of their distresses;

¹⁴Akavabudisa parima nomumvuri worufu, Akadamburanya zvisungo zvavo.

¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.

¹⁵Haiwa, dai vanhu vachirumbidza Jehovha nokuda kokunaka kwake, Uye nokuda kwamabasa ake, anoshamisa, aakaitira vanakomana vavanhu!

¹⁵Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;

¹⁶nekuti wakavhuna masuwo endarira, Nokuguranya mazariro amatare.

¹⁶For he hath broken the gates of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron.

¹⁷Mapenzi anotambudzika nokuda kokudarika kwavo, Uye nokuda kwezvakaipa zvavo.

¹⁷Fools, because of their way of transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted;

¹⁸Mweya wavo unosema zvokudya zvose; Vanoswedera pedo namasuwo orufu.

¹⁸Their soul abhorreth all manner of food, and they draw near unto the gates of death:

¹⁹Zvino vochema kuna Jehovha panhamo yavo, Iye anovaponesa pamatambudziko avo.

¹⁹Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saveth them out of their distresses;

²⁰Anotuma shoko rake, ndokuvaporesa, nokuvarwira pahunza.

²⁰He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their destructions.

²¹Haiwa, dai vanhu vachirumbidza Jehovha nokuda kokunaka kwake, Uye nokuda kwamabasa ake anoshamisa, aakaitira vanakomana vavanhu!

²¹Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men,

²²Ngavabayire zvibayiro zvokuvonga, Nokududzira mabasa ake nokuimba.

²²And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works in joyful song.

²³Avo, vanoburukira kugungwa muzvikepe, Vanoshambadzira kumvura zhinji;

²³They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters,

²⁴Ndivo vanoona mabasa aJehovha, Nezvishamiso zvake pakadzika.

²⁴These see the works of Jehovah, and his wonders in the deep.

²⁵nekuti anoraira, ndokumutsa dutu guru, Rinomutsa mafungu aro.

²⁵For he speaketh, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof:

²⁶Vanosimudzirwa kudenga; ndokuburukirazve pakadzika; Mweya wavo unonyauka nokuda kwenhamo.

²⁶They mount up to the heavens, they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble;

²⁷Vanondeya-ndeya nokudzengedzeka somunhu akabatwa. Vapera mano.

²⁷They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and they are at their wits' end:

²⁸Zvino vochema kuna Jehovha panhamo yavo, Iye ndokuvabudisa pamatambudziko avo.

²⁸Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses;

²⁹Anonyaradza dutu remhepo, Mafungu aro ndokunyarara.

²⁹He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still:

³⁰Ipapo vanofara nekuti anyarara; Zvino iye ndokuvasvitsa pakadzikama pavaida kuvapo.

³⁰And they rejoice because they are quiet; and he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

³¹Haiwa, dai vanhu vachirumbidza Jehovha nokuda kokunaka kwake Uye nokuda kwamabasa ake anoshamisa aakaitira vanakomana vavanhu!.

³¹Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;

³²Ngavamukudzisewo paungano yavanhu, Vamurumbidze pamakurukota avakuru.

³²Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the session of the elders.

³³Anoshandura nzizi dzikaita renje, Namatsime emvura aite nyika yakaoma;

³³He maketh rivers into a wilderness, and water-springs into dry ground;

³⁴Nyika, inobereka zvakanaka, ive sango rebare, Nokuda kwezvakaipa zvavanogara mairi.

³⁴A fruitful land into a plain of salt, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

³⁵Anoshandura renje riite dziva remvura, Nenyika yakaoma iite matsime emvura.

³⁵He maketh the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs;

³⁶Ndipapo paanogarisa vane nzara, Kuti vamutse guta rokugaramo;

³⁶And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;

³⁷Vadzvare minda, vasime minda yemizambiringa, Vawane zvibereko zvizhinji.

³⁷And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase;

³⁸Akavaropafadzawo, vakawanda kwazvo; Akasatendera zvipfuwo zvavo kutapudzwa.

³⁸And he blesseth them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

³⁹Zvino vakatapudzika nokuva vashoma. Nemhaka yokumanikidzwa, nenhamo, nokuzvidya moyo.

³⁹And they are diminished and brought low, through oppression, adversity, and sorrow:

⁴⁰Anodurura kuzvidza pamusoro pamachinda, Achivadzungaidza murenje musina nzira.

⁴⁰He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;

⁴¹Kunyange zvakadaro, anogadza mushaiwi kumusoro kusina dambudziko, Achimumutsira mhuri samapoka amakwai.

⁴¹But he secureth the needy one on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like flocks.

⁴²Akarurama achazviona, akafara; Uye zvakaipa zvose zvichadzivirwa muromo wazvo.

⁴²The upright shall see it, and rejoice; and all unrighteousness shall stop its mouth.

⁴³Ani naani akachenjera achacherekedza zvinhu izvozvi, Vachafunga unyoro hwaJehovha. Mwari Mubatsiri wedu

⁴³Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them understand the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah.
