1Vongai Jehovha, nekuti iye wakanaka; nekuti tsitsi dzake dzinogara nokusingaperi
1Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.
2Vakadzikunurwa naJehovha ngavadaro, Ivo vakadzikunurwa muruoko rwomudzivisi;
2Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the oppressor,
3Akavavunganidza panyika dzose kumabvazuva nekumavirira, kumusoro nezasi.
3And gathered out of the countries, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
4vakafamba-famba murenje munzira yomugwenga;Havana kuwana muguta mavangagara
4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way, they found no city of habitation;
5vakafa nenzara nenyota,Mweya yavo ikaziya mukati mavo.
5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them:
6Ipapo vakachema kuna Jehovha pakutambudzika kwavo, Iye akavarwira panjodzi dzavo.
6Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses,
7Wakavafambisawo nenzira yakarurama, Kuti vasvike kuguta rokugara.
7And he led them forth by a right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8Haiwa, dai vanhu vachirumbidza Jehovha nokuda kokunaka kwake, Uye nokuda kwamabasa ake, anoshamisa, aakaitira vanakomana vavanhu!
8Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
9Nekuti anogutisa mweya, une nyota, Uye mweya, une nzara, anouzadza nezvakanaka.
9For he hath satisfied the longing soul and filled the hungry soul with good.
10Ndivo, vakanga vagere murima nomumvuri worufu, Vakanga vakasungwa mukutambudzika namatare,
10Such as inhabit darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron,
11nekuti vakamukira mashoko aMwari, Vakashora zano reWekumusoro-soro;
11Because they had rebelled against the words of ùGod, and had despised the counsel of the Most High; ...
12Saka wakaninipisa moyo yavo nokutambura; Vakawira pasi, kukasava nomunhu anobatsira.
12And he bowed down their heart with labour; they stumbled, and there was none to help:
13Ipapo vakachema kuna Jehovha panhamo yavo, Akavaponesa pamatambudziko avo.
13Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saved them out of their distresses;
14Akavabudisa parima nomumvuri worufu, Akadamburanya zvisungo zvavo.
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.
15Haiwa, dai vanhu vachirumbidza Jehovha nokuda kokunaka kwake, Uye nokuda kwamabasa ake, anoshamisa, aakaitira vanakomana vavanhu!
15Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
16nekuti wakavhuna masuwo endarira, Nokuguranya mazariro amatare.
16For he hath broken the gates of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron.
17Mapenzi anotambudzika nokuda kokudarika kwavo, Uye nokuda kwezvakaipa zvavo.
17Fools, because of their way of transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18Mweya wavo unosema zvokudya zvose; Vanoswedera pedo namasuwo orufu.
18Their soul abhorreth all manner of food, and they draw near unto the gates of death:
19Zvino vochema kuna Jehovha panhamo yavo, Iye anovaponesa pamatambudziko avo.
19Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saveth them out of their distresses;
20Anotuma shoko rake, ndokuvaporesa, nokuvarwira pahunza.
20He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their destructions.
21Haiwa, dai vanhu vachirumbidza Jehovha nokuda kokunaka kwake, Uye nokuda kwamabasa ake anoshamisa, aakaitira vanakomana vavanhu!
21Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men,
22Ngavabayire zvibayiro zvokuvonga, Nokududzira mabasa ake nokuimba.
22And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works in joyful song.
23Avo, vanoburukira kugungwa muzvikepe, Vanoshambadzira kumvura zhinji;
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters,
24Ndivo vanoona mabasa aJehovha, Nezvishamiso zvake pakadzika.
24These see the works of Jehovah, and his wonders in the deep.
25nekuti anoraira, ndokumutsa dutu guru, Rinomutsa mafungu aro.
25For he speaketh, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof:
26Vanosimudzirwa kudenga; ndokuburukirazve pakadzika; Mweya wavo unonyauka nokuda kwenhamo.
26They mount up to the heavens, they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble;
27Vanondeya-ndeya nokudzengedzeka somunhu akabatwa. Vapera mano.
27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and they are at their wits' end:
28Zvino vochema kuna Jehovha panhamo yavo, Iye ndokuvabudisa pamatambudziko avo.
28Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses;
29Anonyaradza dutu remhepo, Mafungu aro ndokunyarara.
29He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still:
30Ipapo vanofara nekuti anyarara; Zvino iye ndokuvasvitsa pakadzikama pavaida kuvapo.
30And they rejoice because they are quiet; and he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31Haiwa, dai vanhu vachirumbidza Jehovha nokuda kokunaka kwake Uye nokuda kwamabasa ake anoshamisa aakaitira vanakomana vavanhu!.
31Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;
32Ngavamukudzisewo paungano yavanhu, Vamurumbidze pamakurukota avakuru.
32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the session of the elders.
33Anoshandura nzizi dzikaita renje, Namatsime emvura aite nyika yakaoma;
33He maketh rivers into a wilderness, and water-springs into dry ground;
34Nyika, inobereka zvakanaka, ive sango rebare, Nokuda kwezvakaipa zvavanogara mairi.
34A fruitful land into a plain of salt, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35Anoshandura renje riite dziva remvura, Nenyika yakaoma iite matsime emvura.
35He maketh the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs;
36Ndipapo paanogarisa vane nzara, Kuti vamutse guta rokugaramo;
36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;
37Vadzvare minda, vasime minda yemizambiringa, Vawane zvibereko zvizhinji.
37And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase;
38Akavaropafadzawo, vakawanda kwazvo; Akasatendera zvipfuwo zvavo kutapudzwa.
38And he blesseth them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39Zvino vakatapudzika nokuva vashoma. Nemhaka yokumanikidzwa, nenhamo, nokuzvidya moyo.
39And they are diminished and brought low, through oppression, adversity, and sorrow:
40Anodurura kuzvidza pamusoro pamachinda, Achivadzungaidza murenje musina nzira.
40He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
41Kunyange zvakadaro, anogadza mushaiwi kumusoro kusina dambudziko, Achimumutsira mhuri samapoka amakwai.
41But he secureth the needy one on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like flocks.
42Akarurama achazviona, akafara; Uye zvakaipa zvose zvichadzivirwa muromo wazvo.
42The upright shall see it, and rejoice; and all unrighteousness shall stop its mouth.
43Ani naani akachenjera achacherekedza zvinhu izvozvi, Vachafunga unyoro hwaJehovha. Mwari Mubatsiri wedu
43Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them understand the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah.
