Psalms

84

1Ugaro bwenyu hunodikamwa sei, imwi Jehovha wehondo!
1{To the chief Musician. Upon the Gittith. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.} How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!
2Mweya wangu unoshuva, zvirokwazvo unopanga vazhe dzaJehovha; moyo wangu nenyama yangu zvinodana kuna Mwari mupenyu.
2My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living ùGod.
3Zvirokwazvo, shiri yakazviwanira imba, Nyenganyenga yakazviwanira dendere, painoisa vana vayo, Ipo paaritari dzenyu, Jehovha wehondo, Mambo wangu, naMwari wangu.
3Yea, the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she layeth her young, thine altars, O Jehovah of hosts, my King and my God.
4Vakaropafadzwa vanogara mumba menyu; Vachagara vachikurumbidzai.
4Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be constantly praising thee. Selah.
5Akaropafadzwa munhu ane simba rake mamuri; Anemigwagwa inoenda Ziyoni mumoyo make.
5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee, -- they, in whose heart are the highways.
6Kana vachipfuura nomumupata wakaoma, vanouita nzvimbo inamatsime; Zvirokwazvo, mvura yomunhuruka inoufukidza nemikomborero.
6Passing through the valley of Baca, they make it a well-spring; yea, the early rain covereth it with blessings.
7Vanowedzera simba pasimba ravo, Mumwe nomumwe wavo anosvika pamberi paMwari paZiyoni.
7They go from strength to strength: [each one] will appear before God in Zion.
8Haiwa, Jehovha wehondo, inzwa munyengetero wangu; teererai nenzeve, Mwari waJakove.
8Jehovah, God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
9Tarirai, Mwari, nhovo yedu, Muone chiso chomuzodzwa wenyu.
9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10nekuti zuva rimwe pavazhe dzenyu rinokunda mamwe ane chiuru pakunaka. Ndinoti zviri nani kuti ndive murindi womukova mumba maMwari wangu, Pakuti ndigare pamatende avane zvakaipa.
10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11nekuti Jehovha Mwari izuva nenhovo; Jehovha achapa nyasha nokukudzwa; Hapana chinhu chakanaka chaanganyima vanofamba nokururama.
11For Jehovah Elohim is a sun and shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12Jehovha wehondo, Akaropafadzwa munhu anovimba nemi.
12Jehovah of hosts, blessed is the man that confideth in thee!
