1Децо! Слушајте своје родитеље у Господу: јер је ово право.
1Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2Поштуј оца свог и матер: ово је прва заповест с обећањем:
2Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3Да ти благо буде, и да живиш дуго на земљи.
3That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4И ви очеви! Не раздражујте децу своју, него их гајите у науци и у страху Господњем.
4And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5Слуге! Слушајте господаре своје по телу, са страхом и дрхтањем, у простоти срца свог, као и Христа;
5Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6Не само пред очима радећи као људима да угађате, него као слуге Христове, творећи вољу Божију од срца.
6Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7Драговољно служите, као Господу а не као људима,
7With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8Знајући да сваки што учини добро оно ће и примити од Господа, био роб или слободњак.
8Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9И ви господари, тако чините њима остављајући претње, знајући да је и вама самим и њима Господар на небесима, и Он не гледа ко је ко.
9And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10А даље, браћо моја, јачајте у Господу и у сили јачине Његове.
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Обуците се у све оружје Божије, да бисте се могли одржати против лукавства ђаволског:
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12Јер наш рат није с крвљу и с телом, него с поглаварима и властима, и с управитељима таме овог света, с духовима пакости испод неба.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Тога ради узмите све оружје Божије, да бисте се могли бранити у зли дан, и свршивши све одржати се.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Станите дакле опасавши бедра своја истином и обукавши се у оклоп правде,
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15И обувши ноге у приправу јеванђеља мира;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16А сврх свега узмите штит вере о који ћете моћи погасити све распаљене стреле нечастивог;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17И кацигу спасења узмите, и мач духовни који је реч Божија.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18И сваком молитвом и мољењем молите се Богу духом без престанка, и уз то стражите са сваким трпљењем и молитвом за све свете,
18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19И за мене, да ми се да реч кад отворим уста своја, да обзнаним са слободом тајну јеванђеља,
19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20За које сам посланик у оковима, да у Њему говорим слободно, као што ми се пристоји.
20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21А да и ви знате како сам ја и шта радим, све ће вам казати Тихик, љубазни брат и верни слуга у Господу,
21But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
22Ког послах к вама за то исто да знате како смо ми, и да утеши срца ваша.
22Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
23Мир браћи и љубав с вером од Бога Оца и Господа Исуса Христа.
23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24Благодат са свима који љубе Господа нашег Исуса Христа једнако. Амин.
24Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
