¹Од Павла и Тимотија, слугу Исуса Христа, свима светима у Христу Исусу који су у Филиби, с владикама и ђаконима:

¹Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

²Благодат вам и мир од Бога Оца нашег и Господа Исуса Христа.

²Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

³Захваљујем Богу свом кад се год опоменем вас,

³I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

⁴Свагда у свакој молитви својој за све вас с радошћу молећи се,

⁴Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

⁵Што ви постадосте заједничари у јеванђељу, од првог дана и до данас;

⁵For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

⁶Уздајући се у ово исто да ће Онај који је почео добро дело у вама довршити га тја до дана Исуса Христа.

⁶Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

⁷Као што је право да ја ово мислим за све вас, јер вас имам у срцу у оковима својим и у одговору и потврђивању јеванђеља, као све заједничаре са мном у благодати.

⁷Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

⁸Јер Бог ми је сведок да вас љубим љубављу Исуса Христа,

⁸For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

⁹И зато се молим Богу да љубав ваша још више и више изобилује у разуму и свакој вољи,

⁹And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

¹⁰Да кушате шта је боље, да будете чисти и без спотицања на дан Христов,

¹⁰That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.

¹¹Напуњени плодова правде кроз Исуса Христа, на славу и хвалу Божију.

¹¹Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

¹²Хоћу, пак, да знате, браћо, да ово што се ради са мном изиђе за напредак јеванђеља,

¹²But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

¹³Тако да се разгласи у свој судници и код свих осталих да су моји окови за Христа.

¹³So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

¹⁴И многа браћа у Господу ослободивши се оковима мојим већма смеју говорити реч Божију без страха.

¹⁴And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

¹⁵Истина, једни из зависти и свађе, а једни од добре воље Христа проповедају.

¹⁵Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

¹⁶Тако ови, упркос, Христа објављују нечисто, мислећи да ће нанети жалост мојим оковима;

¹⁶The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

¹⁷А ови из љубави, знајући да за одбрану јеванђеља лежим у тамници.

¹⁷But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

¹⁸Шта дакле? Било како му драго, дволичењем или истином, Христос се проповеда; и зато се радујем, а и радоваћу се;

¹⁸What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

¹⁹Јер знам да ће ми се ово збити на спасење вашом молитвом и помоћу Духа Исуса Христа.

¹⁹For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

²⁰Као што чекам и надам се да се ни у чему нећу постидети, него да ће се и сад као свагда са сваком слободом Христос величати у телу мом, било животом или смрћу.

²⁰According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

²¹Јер је мени живот Христос, а смрт добитак.

²¹For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

²²А кад ми живљење у телу плод доноси, то не знам шта ћу изабрати.

²²But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

²³А обоје ми је мило, имајући жељу отићи и с Христом бити, које би много боље било;

²³For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

²⁴Али остати у телу потребније је вас ради.

²⁴Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

²⁵И ово знам јамачно да ћу бити и остати код свих вас на ваш напредак и радост вере,

²⁵And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

²⁶Да хвала ваша мноме изобилује у Христу Исусу кад вам опет дођем.

²⁶That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

²⁷Само живите као што се пристоји јеванђељу Христовом, да вас видим кад дођем или ако вам не дођем да чујем за вас да стојите у једном духу и једнодушно борите се за веру јеванђеља,

²⁷Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

²⁸И ни у чем да се не плашите од противника; које је њима знак погибли а вама спасења, и то од Бога;

²⁸And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

²⁹Јер се вама дарова, Христа ради, не само да Га верујете него и да страдате за Њ,

²⁹For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

³⁰Имајући ону исту борбу какву у мени видесте и сад чујете за мене.

³⁰Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
