1[39:34] И тако одговарајући Господ Јову рече:
1Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
2[39:35] Ко се препире с Богом, хоће ли га учити? Који куди Бога, нека одговори на то.
2Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
3[39:36] Тада Јов одговори Господу и рече:
3Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
4[39:37] Гле, ја сам мален, шта бих Ти одговорио? Мећем руку своју на уста своја.
4Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
5[39:38] Једном говорих, али нећу одговарати; и другом, али нећу више.
5Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
6[40:1] А Господ опет одговарајући Јову из вихора рече:
6Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
7[40:2] Опаши се сада као човек; ја ћу те питати, а ти ми казуј.
7Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
8[40:3] Хоћеш ли ти уништити мој суд? Хоћеш ли мене осудити да би себе оправдао?
8Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
9[40:4] Је ли у тебе мишица као у Бога? Грмиш ли гласом као Он?
9Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
10[40:5] Окити се сада чашћу и величанством, у славу и красоту обуци се.
10Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.
11[40:6] Проспи јарост гнева свог, и погледај све поносите, и обори их.
11Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
12[40:7] Погледај све поносите, и понизи их, и потри безбожнике на месту њиховом.
12Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
13[40:8] Затрпај их све у прах, и повежи им лице на скривеном месту.
13Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
14[40:9] Тада ћу те и ја хвалити да те чува десница твоја.
14Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
15[40:10] А гле, слон, ког сам створио с тобом, једе траву као во;
15Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
16[40:11] Гле, снага му је у бедрима његовим, и сила му је у пупку трбуха његовог;
16Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
17[40:12] Диже реп свој као кедар, жиле од јаја његових сплетене су као гране;
17He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
18[40:13] Кости су му као цеви бронзане, зглавци као полуге гвоздене.
18His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
19[40:14] Он је прво између дела Божијих, Творац његов дао му је мач.
19He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
20[40:15] Горе носе му пићу, и све зверје пољско игра се онде.
20Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
21[40:16] У хладу леже, у густој трсци и глибу.
21He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
22[40:17] Граната дрвета заклањају га сеном својим, и опкољавају га врбе на потоцима.
22The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
23[40:18] Гле, уставља реку да не тече, узда се да ће испити Јордан губицом својом.
23Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
24[40:19] Хоће ли га ко ухватити на очи његове? Замку му провући кроз нос?
24He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
