¹А ти говори шта пристоји здравој науци:

¹But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

²Старцима да буду трезни, поштени, чисти, здрави у вери, у љубави, у трпљењу;

²That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

³Старицама, такође, да живе као што се пристоји светима, да не буду опадљиве, да се не предају врло вину, да уче добру,

³The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

⁴Да уче младе да љубе мужеве, да љубе децу,

⁴That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

⁵Да буду поштене, чисте, добре домаћице, благе, покорне својим мужевима, да се не хули на реч Божију.

⁵To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

⁶Тако и младиће саветуј да буду поштени.

⁶Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

⁷А у свему сам себе подај за углед добрих дела, у науци целост, поштење,

⁷In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

⁸Реч здраву, незазорну: да се посрами онај који се противи, не имајући ништа зло говорити за нас.

⁸Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

⁹Слуге да слушају своје господаре, да буду угодни у свачему, да не одговарају,

⁹Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;

¹⁰Да не краду, него у свачему да показују добру веру, да науку Спаситеља нашег Бога украшују у свачему.

¹⁰Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

¹¹Јер се показа благодат Божја која спасава све људе,

¹¹For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

¹²Учећи нас да се одрекнемо безбожности и жеља овог света, и да поштено и праведно и побожно поживимо на овом свету,

¹²Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

¹³Чекајући блажену наду и јављање славе великог Бога и Спаса нашег Исуса Христа,

¹³Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

¹⁴Који је дао себе за нас да нас избави од сваког безакоња, и да очисти себи народ избрани који чезне за добрим делима.

¹⁴Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

¹⁵Ово говори, и саветуј, и карај са сваком заповешћу да те нико не презире.

¹⁵These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
