¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เพราะเหตุการละเมิดของเมืองโมอับ สามครั้งและสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ยอมกลับการลงทัณฑ์ เพราะเขาได้เผากระดูกของกษัตริย์เอโดมให้เป็นปูน

¹Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Moab, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime;

²แต่ เราจะส่งไฟมาบนโมอับ และไฟนั้นจะเผาผลาญปราสาททั้งหลายของเคริโอทเสีย และโมอับจะตายท่ามกลางเสียงสับสนอลหม่าน ท่ามกลางเสียงโห่ร้องและเสียงแตร

²but I will send a fire on Moab, and it will devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab will die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet;

³เราจะตัดผู้วินิจฉัยออกเสียจากท่ามกลางเมืองนั้น และจะประหารเจ้านายทั้งหลายของเมืองนั้นเสียพร้อมกับผู้วินิจฉัย" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

³and I will cut off the judge from their midst, and will kill all its princes with him,” says Yahweh.

⁴พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เพราะเหตุการละเมิดของยูดาห์ สามครั้งและสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ยอมกลับการลงทัณฑ์ เพราะว่าเขาปฏิเสธไม่รับพระราชบัญญัติของพระเยโฮวาห์ และมิได้รักษาพระบัญญัติของพระองค์ และการมุสาของเขาได้พาให้เขาหลงเจิ่นไป ตามเยี่ยงที่บิดาของเขาได้ดำเนินมาแล้ว

⁴Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Judah, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they have rejected Yahweh’s law, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have led them astray, after which their fathers walked;

⁵แต่ เราจะส่งไฟมาบนยูดาห์ และไฟนั้นจะเผาผลาญปราสาททั้งหลายของเยรูซาเล็มเสีย"

⁵But I will send a fire on Judah, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem.”

⁶พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เพราะเหตุการละเมิดของอิสราเอล สามครั้งและสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ยอมกลับการลงทัณฑ์ เพราะเขาได้ขายคนชอบธรรมเอาเงิน และขายคนขัดสนเอารองเท้าคู่เดียว

⁶Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Israel, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes;

⁷ซึ่งกระหายหาฝุ่นละอองแห่งแผ่นดินโลกบนศีรษะของคนจน และผลักคนที่ถ่อมใจออกเสียจากหนทางของเขา บุตรชายและบิดาของเขาเข้าหาหญิงคนเดียวกัน เพื่อลบหลู่นามบริสุทธิ์ของเรา

⁷They trample on the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and deny justice to the oppressed; and a man and his father use the same maiden, to profane my holy name;

⁸ตัวเขาเองนอนอยู่ข้างแท่นบูชาทุกแท่น อยู่บนเสื้อผ้าที่เขายึดมาเป็นประกัน และในนิเวศแห่งพระของเขา เขาทั้งหลายดื่มเหล้าองุ่นสำหรับผู้ที่ถูกปรับโทษ

⁸and they lay themselves down beside every altar on clothes taken in pledge; and in the house of their God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” they drink the wine of those who have been fined.

⁹เรายังได้ล้างผลาญคนอาโมไรต์ตรงหน้าเขา ซึ่งส่วนสูงของเขาเหมือนอย่างความสูงของต้นสนสีดาร์ และเป็นผู้ที่แข็งแรงอย่างกับต้นโอ๊ก เราทำลายผลข้างบนของเขาเสีย และทำลายรากข้างล่างของเขาเสีย

⁹Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

¹⁰เรานำเจ้าขึ้นมาจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ และได้นำเจ้าถึงสี่สิบปีในถิ่นทุรกันดาร เพื่อจะได้กรรมสิทธิ์ที่ดินของคนอาโมไรต์

¹⁰Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

¹¹เราได้ตั้งบุตรชายบางคนของเจ้าให้เป็นผู้พยากรณ์ และได้ตั้งชายหนุ่มบางคนของเจ้าให้เป็นพวกนาศีร์ โอ คนอิสราเอลเอ๋ย ไม่เป็นความจริงดังนี้หรือ" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

¹¹I raised up some of your sons for prophets, and some of your young men for Nazirites. Isn’t this true, you children of Israel?” says Yahweh.

¹²"แต่เจ้าทั้งหลายได้กระทำให้พวกนาศีดื่มเหล้าองุ่น และบัญชาพวกผู้พยากรณ์สั่งว่า `เจ้าอย่าพยากรณ์เลย'

¹²“But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, ‘Don’t prophesy!’

¹³ดูเถิด เจ้ากดเราลง เหมือนเกวียนที่เต็มด้วยฟ่อนข้าวกดยัดลง

¹³Behold, I will crush you in your place, as a cart crushes that is full of grain.

¹⁴ฉะนั้นการหนีจะประลาตไปจากผู้มีฝีเท้ารวดเร็ว คนที่แข็งแรงจะไม่สามารถเสริมกำลังของเขา คนที่มีกำลังมากจะช่วยชีวิตของตนก็ไม่ได้

¹⁴Flight will perish from the swift; and the strong won’t strengthen his force; neither shall the mighty deliver himself;

¹⁵ผู้ที่ถือคันธนูจะไม่ยืนยงอยู่ได้ ผู้มีฝีเท้าเร็วก็ช่วยตัวเองให้รอดพ้นไม่ได้ หรือผู้ที่ขี่ม้าก็ช่วยตัวเองให้รอดพ้นไม่ได้เหมือนกัน

¹⁵neither shall he stand who handles the bow; and he who is swift of foot won’t escape; neither shall he who rides the horse deliver himself;

¹⁶และผู้ที่มีใจกล้าหาญท่ามกลางผู้มีกำลังเข้มแข็งเหล่านั้นจะหนีไปอย่างเปลือยเปล่าในวันนั้น" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

¹⁶and he who is courageous among the mighty will flee away naked on that day,” says Yahweh.
