¹"เมื่อชายคนใดคนหนึ่งมีภรรยาแต่งงานอยู่กินด้วยกันกับนาง และต่อมานางไม่เป็นที่ชอบในสายตาของสามีเพราะเขาพบสิ่งมลทินในตัวนาง ก็ให้เขาทำหนังสือหย่าใส่มือนาง แล้วไล่ออกจากเรือนไป

¹When a man takes a wife, and marries her, then it shall be, if she find no favor in his eyes, because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

²และนางก็ออกจากเรือนไปเสีย และถ้านางไปเป็นภรรยาของชายอีกคนหนึ่ง

²When she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.

³และสามีคนหลังนี้ชังนางจึงทำหนังสือหย่าใส่มือนางแล้วไล่นางออกจากเรือน หรือสามีคนหลังนี้ที่ได้นางเป็นภรรยาถึงแก่ความตาย

³If the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, who took her to be his wife;

⁴สามีคนเดิมที่ได้ไล่นางไปนั้นจะรับนางหลังจากที่นางเป็นมลทินแล้วกลับมาเป็นภรรยาอีกไม่ได้ เพราะเป็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ ท่านทั้งหลายอย่ากระทำให้แผ่นดินซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านประทานแก่ท่านให้เป็นมรดกนั้นมีบาป

⁴her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before Yahweh: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance.

⁵เมื่อชายคนใดมีภรรยาใหม่ๆ อย่าให้ผู้นั้นต้องไปทัพ หรือทำราชการอย่างใด ให้เขาอยู่บ้านปีหนึ่งเพื่อเขาจะให้ภรรยาซึ่งเขาได้มานั้นมีความสุข

⁵When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business: he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.

⁶อย่าให้ผู้ใดยึดโม่หรือหินโม่ลูกปฏิญาณไว้เป็นประกัน เพราะสิ่งที่ยึดเป็นประกันนั้นเขาใช้เลี้ยงชีพของเขา

⁶No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone to pledge; for he takes a life in pledge.

⁷ถ้าชายคนใดถูกเขาจับได้ว่าได้ลักพี่น้องคนอิสราเอลคนหนึ่งคนใดไปใช้เป็นทาสหรือขายเสีย ขโมยคนนั้นจะต้องมีโทษถึงตาย ดังนี้แหละท่านจะกำจัดความชั่วเสียจากท่ามกลางท่าน

⁷If a man be found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and he deal with him as a slave, or sell him; then that thief shall die: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.

⁸ท่านทั้งหลายจงระวังเรื่องโรคเรื้อน จงระวังที่จะกระทำตามคำชี้แจงของปุโรหิตคนเลวี ดังที่ข้าพเจ้าได้บัญชาเขาไว้ ท่านจงระวังที่จะทำตามอย่างนั้น

⁸Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.

⁹จงระลึกถึงเรื่องที่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านกระทำแก่มีเรียมตามทาง เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายออกจากอียิปต์แล้ว

⁹Remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam, by the way as you came forth out of Egypt.

¹⁰เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายให้พี่น้องขอยืมสิ่งใด อย่าเข้าไปในเรือนของเขาและเอาสิ่งที่เขาใช้เป็นประกัน

¹⁰When you do lend your neighbor any kind of loan, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.

¹¹ท่านจงยืนอยู่ภายนอก และคนที่ยืมนั้นจะนำของประกันออกมาให้ท่านเอง

¹¹You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you do lend shall bring forth the pledge outside to you.

¹²ถ้าเขาเป็นคนยากจน อย่าเอาของประกันนั้นเก็บไว้จนข้ามคืน

¹²If he be a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge;

¹³เมื่อดวงอาทิตย์ตกท่านจงเอาของประกันนั้นมาคืนให้เขา เพื่อเขาจะมีของคลุมตัวเมื่อเวลานอน และอวยพรแก่ท่าน นี่จะเป็นความชอบธรรมแก่ท่าน เฉพาะพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่าน

¹³you shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness to you before Yahweh your God.

¹⁴ท่านอย่าข่มขี่ลูกจ้างที่เป็นคนยากจนและขัดสน ไม่ว่าเขาจะเป็นพี่น้องของท่าน หรือคนต่างด้าวอยู่ในแผ่นดินภายในประตูเมืองของท่าน

¹⁴You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he be of your brothers, or of your foreigners who are in your land within your gates:

¹⁵ท่านจงจ่ายเงินค่าจ้างวันนั้นให้แก่เขา ก่อนดวงอาทิตย์ตก เพราะเขาเป็นคนยากจน และมีใจจดจ่ออยู่ที่ค่าจ้างนั้น ด้วยเกรงว่าเขาจะกล่าวหาท่านต่อพระเยโฮวาห์ และจะเป็นความบาปแก่ท่าน

¹⁵in his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it: lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you.

¹⁶อย่าให้บิดาต้องรับโทษถึงตายแทนบุตรของตน หรือให้บุตรต้องรับโทษถึงตายแทนบิดาของตน ให้ทุกคนรับโทษถึงตายเนื่องด้วยบาปของคนนั้นเอง

¹⁶The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

¹⁷ท่านทั้งหลายอย่าให้เสียความยุติธรรมซึ่งควรได้แก่คนต่างด้าว หรือควรได้แก่ลูกกำพร้าพ่อ และอย่ารับเสื้อผ้าของแม่ม่ายไว้เป็นประกัน

¹⁷You shall not deprive the foreigner, or the fatherless of justice, nor take a widow’s clothing in pledge;

¹⁸แต่ท่านพึงจำไว้ว่า ท่านเคยเป็นทาสอยู่ในอียิปต์ และพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านไถ่ท่านออกจากที่นั่น เพราะฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงบัญชาท่านให้กระทำเช่นนี้

¹⁸but you shall remember that you were a bondservant in Egypt, and Yahweh your God redeemed you there: therefore I command you to do this thing.

¹⁹เมื่อท่านเกี่ยวข้าวในนาของท่าน และลืมฟ่อนข้าวไว้ในนาฟ่อนหนึ่ง อย่ากลับไปเอามาเลย ให้เป็นของคนต่างด้าว ลูกกำพร้าพ่อและแม่ม่าย เพื่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านจะอวยพระพรแก่กิจการทั้งหลายแห่งมือของท่าน

¹⁹When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

²⁰เมื่อท่านฟาดต้นมะกอกเทศ ท่านอย่าเก็บที่กิ่งเดิมซ้ำครั้งที่สอง ให้เหลือไว้สำหรับคนต่างด้าว ลูกกำพร้าพ่อและแม่ม่าย

²⁰When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

²¹เมื่อท่านเก็บผลองุ่นจากสวนองุ่นของท่าน ท่านอย่าไปเก็บเล็มอีก จงเหลือไว้สำหรับคนต่างด้าว ทั้งลูกกำพร้าพ่อและแม่ม่าย

²¹When you harvest your vineyard, you shall not glean it after yourselves: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

²²ท่านจงจำไว้ว่า ท่านเคยเป็นทาสอยู่ในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เพราะฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงบัญชาท่านให้กระทำเช่นนี้"

²²You shall remember that you were a bondservant in the land of Egypt: therefore I command you to do this thing.
