¹"เราทั้งหลายจึงได้หันไปขึ้นทางสู่เมืองบาชาน แล้วโอกกษัตริย์เมืองบาชานก็ออกมาสู้รบกับเรา ตัวโอกเองและพลโยธาทั้งหมดของท่านมารบกับเราที่ตำบลเอเดรอี

¹Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

²แต่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า `เจ้าอย่ากลัวเขาเลย เพราะเราจะมอบเขากับพลโยธาทั้งหมดของเขาและแผ่นดินของเขาไว้ในมือของเจ้า เจ้าจะกระทำแก่เขาเหมือนเจ้าได้กระทำแก่สิโหนกษัตริย์ของคนอาโมไรต์ซึ่งอยู่ตำบลเฮชโบนนั้น'

²Yahweh said to me, “Don’t fear him; for I have delivered him, and all his people, and his land, into your hand; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”

³พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเราจึงได้ทรงมอบไว้ในมือของเรา ทั้งโอกกษัตริย์เมืองบาชาน และพลโยธาทั้งหลายของท่าน และเราทั้งหลายได้ฆ่าตีเขาจนไม่มีเหลือ

³So Yahweh our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we struck him until none was left to him remaining.

⁴ครั้งนั้นเราทั้งหลายได้ตีเอาบ้านเมืองทั้งหลายของเขาจนไม่มีเหลือสักเมืองเดียวซึ่งเราไม่ได้ยึดมารวมหกสิบเมือง ดินแดนอารโกบทั้งหมด ซึ่งเป็นราชอาณาจักรของโอกกษัตริย์เมืองบาชาน

⁴We took all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we didn’t take from them; sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

⁵บรรดาเมืองเหล่านี้เป็นเมืองที่มีกำแพงสูงโดยรอบ มีประตู มีดานประตู และยังมีชนบทอีกมากที่ไม่มีกำแพง

⁵All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; besides the unwalled towns a great many.

⁶เราได้ตีทำลายสิ้น ได้ทำลายทุกๆเมืองเสียสิ้น รวมทั้งผู้ชายผู้หญิงและเด็กทั้งหลาย เหมือนเราได้กระทำกับสิโหนกษัตริย์เมืองเฮชโบนนั้น

⁶We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones.

⁷แต่ฝูงสัตว์ทั้งหมด และของริบได้ในเมืองเหล่านั้นเราได้ยึดมาเป็นของเรา

⁷But all the livestock, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

⁸ครั้งนั้นเราได้ยึดแผ่นดินเสียจากมือของกษัตริย์ทั้งสองของคนอาโมไรต์ ผู้อยู่ฟากแม่น้ำจอร์แดนข้างนี้ ตั้งแต่ลุ่มแม่น้ำอารโนนถึงภูเขาเฮอร์โมน

⁸We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon.

⁹(ภูเขาเฮอร์โมนนั้นชาวไซดอนเรียกชื่อว่าสีรีออน และชาวอาโมไรต์เรียกชื่อว่าเสนีร์)

⁹(The Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir.)

¹⁰คือเมืองทั้งหลายในที่ราบสูง และกิเลอาดทั้งหมด และบาชานทั้งหมด จนถึงสาเลคาห์และเอเดรอี ซึ่งเป็นหัวเมืองแห่งราชอาณาจักรโอกในเมืองบาชาน

¹⁰We took all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, to Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

¹¹ด้วยยังเหลืออยู่แต่โอกกษัตริย์เมืองบาชานซึ่งเป็นพวกมนุษย์ยักษ์ ดูเถิด เตียงนอนของท่านทำด้วยเหล็ก เตียงนอนนั้นไม่อยู่ที่เมืองรับบาห์แห่งคนอัมโมนดอกหรือ ยาวตั้งเก้าศอก กว้างสี่ศอกขนาดศอกคนเรา

¹¹(For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; isn’t it in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was its length, and four cubits its breadth, after the cubit of a man.)

¹²แผ่นดินนี้ที่เรายึดครองได้ครั้งนั้น คือตั้งแต่อาโรเออร์ ซึ่งอยู่ริมลุ่มแม่น้ำอารโนน และแดนเทือกเขากิเลอาดครึ่งหนึ่ง กับหัวเมืองทั้งหลายเหล่านั้น เราก็ได้ให้แก่คนรูเบนและคนกาด

¹²This land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead, and its cities, gave I to the Reubenites and to the Gadites:

¹³ส่วนกิเลอาดที่ยังเหลืออยู่กับเมืองบาชานทั้งหมด ซึ่งเป็นราชอาณาจักรของโอก คือดินแดนอารโกบทั้งหมด เราก็ได้ให้ไว้กับครึ่งหนึ่งของคนตระกูลมนัสเสห์ ทั้งหมดเมืองบาชานนั้นเรียกว่าดินแดนของพวกมนุษย์ยักษ์

¹³and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, gave I to the half-tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, even all Bashan. (The same is called the land of Rephaim.

¹⁴ยาอีร์คนมนัสเสห์ก็ตีได้ดินแดนอารโกบทั้งหมด จนถึงเขตแดนเมืองชาวเกชูร์ และเมืองมาอาคาห์ และได้เรียกชื่อเมืองเหล่านั้นตามชื่อของตนว่า บาชานฮาโวทยาอีร์ จนถึงทุกวันนี้

¹⁴Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, to the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own name, Havvoth Jair, to this day.)

¹⁵I gave Gilead to Machir.

¹⁶แก่คนรูเบนและคนกาดนั้นเราให้ตำบลตั้งแต่กิเลอาดถึงลุ่มแม่น้ำอารโนน ถือเอากลางลุ่มน้ำเป็นแดนเรื่อยมาถึงแม่น้ำยับบอกอันเป็นแดนของคนอัมโมน

¹⁶To the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave from Gilead even to the valley of the Arnon, the middle of the valley, and its border, even to the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;

¹⁷ทั้งแถบที่ราบด้วย มีแม่น้ำจอร์แดนเป็นพรมแดน ตั้งแต่ทะเลคินเนเรทจนถึงทะเลแห่งที่ราบ คือทะเลเค็ม ที่อัชโดดปิสกาห์ ซึ่งอยู่ทิศตะวันออก

¹⁷the Arabah also, and the Jordan and its border, from Chinnereth even to the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.

¹⁸ครั้งนั้นข้าพเจ้าได้บัญชาท่านทั้งหลายว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านได้ทรงให้ท่านทั้งหลายยึดครองแผ่นดินนี้ ทแกล้วทหารทั้งสิ้นของท่าน จงถืออาวุธยกข้ามไปก่อนคนอิสราเอลผู้เป็นพี่น้องของท่าน

¹⁸I commanded you at that time, saying, “Yahweh your God has given you this land to possess it: you shall pass over armed before your brothers the children of Israel, all the men of valor.

¹⁹แต่ภรรยาของท่าน บุตรเล็กๆทั้งหลายของท่านกับฝูงสัตว์ของท่าน (เพราะข้าพเจ้าทราบอยู่แล้วว่า ท่านทั้งหลายมีฝูงสัตว์เป็นอันมาก) จงอยู่ในเขตเมืองที่เรายกให้นั้นก่อน

¹⁹But your wives, and your little ones, and your livestock, (I know that you have much livestock), shall live in your cities which I have given you,

²⁰กว่าพระเยโฮวาห์จะโปรดให้พี่น้องของท่านได้หยุดพักเหมือนได้ประทานแก่ท่านแล้ว จนเขาทั้งหลายจะยึดครองแผ่นดินซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านประทานแก่เขาที่ฟากแม่น้ำจอร์แดนข้างโน้นแล้ว ท่านทั้งหลายต่างจึงจะกลับมายังที่อยู่ของตน ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าได้ให้แก่ท่านทั้งหลาย'

²⁰until Yahweh gives rest to your brothers, as to you, and they also possess the land which Yahweh your God gives them beyond the Jordan: then you shall return every man to his possession, which I have given you.”

²¹ครั้งนั้นข้าพเจ้าได้สั่งโยชูวาว่า `นัยน์ตาของท่านได้เห็นบรรดากิจการซึ่งพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านได้ทรงกระทำแก่กษัตริย์ทั้งสองนั้นแล้ว ดังนั้นพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงกระทำแก่อาณาจักรทั้งปวงซึ่งท่านจะข้ามไปอยู่เช่นเดียวกัน

²¹I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, “Your eyes have seen all that Yahweh your God has done to these two kings: so shall Yahweh do to all the kingdoms where you go over.

²²ท่านอย่าได้กลัวเขาเลย เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่าน พระองค์นั้นทรงสู้รบเพื่อท่าน'

²²You shall not fear them; for Yahweh your God, he it is who fights for you.”

²³ครั้งนั้นข้าพเจ้าได้อ้อนวอนพระเยโฮวาห์ว่า

²³I begged Yahweh at that time, saying,

²⁴`ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้า พระองค์เพิ่งทรงสำแดงอานุภาพและฤทธิ์พระหัตถ์ของพระองค์แก่ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ เพราะมีพระเจ้าองค์ไหนเล่าในสวรรค์หรือในแผ่นดินโลกซึ่งสามารถกระทำตามการสำคัญ และการอิทธิฤทธิ์ดังพระองค์ได้

²⁴ “Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” Yahweh, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand: for what god is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works, and according to your mighty acts?

²⁵ขอพระองค์ทรงโปรดอนุญาตให้ข้าพระองค์ข้ามไปดูแผ่นดินอันดีที่อยู่ฟากแม่น้ำจอร์แดนข้างโน้น ดูแดนเทือกเขางดงามและเลบานอนด้วย'

²⁵Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.”

²⁶แต่พระเยโฮวาห์ได้พระพิโรธต่อข้าพเจ้า เพราะท่านทั้งหลายเป็นเหตุ พระองค์จึงมิได้ทรงโปรดฟังข้าพเจ้า และพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า `พอแล้ว เจ้าอย่าได้พูดกับเราด้วยเรื่องนี้ต่อไปเลย

²⁶But Yahweh was angry with me for your sakes, and didn’t listen to me; and Yahweh said to me, “Let it suffice you; speak no more to me of this matter.

²⁷เจ้าจงขึ้นไปถึงยอดเขาปิสกาห์ และเพ่งตาของเจ้าดูทิศตะวันตก ทิศเหนือ ทิศใต้ และทิศตะวันออก และดูแผ่นดินนั้นด้วยนัยน์ตาของเจ้า เพราะเจ้าจะข้ามแม่น้ำจอร์แดนนี้ไปไม่ได้เลย

²⁷Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes: for you shall not go over this Jordan.

²⁸แต่เจ้าจงกำชับโยชูวา จงสนับสนุนและชูใจของเขาให้เข้มแข็ง เพราะเขาจะต้องนำหน้าชนชาตินี้ข้ามไป และจะให้เขาทั้งหลายเข้าถือกรรมสิทธิ์ในแผ่นดินที่เจ้าแลเห็นนั้น'

²⁸But commission Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.”

²⁹ฉะนั้นเราทั้งหลายจึงยับยั้งอยู่ในหุบเขาตรงหน้าเบธเปโอร์"

²⁹So we stayed in the valley over against Beth Peor.
