¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²"จงกล่าวแก่บรรดาชุมนุมชนอิสราเอลว่า เจ้าทั้งหลายจงเป็นคนบริสุทธิ์ เพราะเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้าเป็นผู้บริสุทธิ์

²“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘You shall be holy; for I Yahweh your God am holy.

³เจ้าทุกคนต้องเคารพมารดาและบิดาของตน และเจ้าต้องรักษาบรรดาสะบาโตของเรา เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

³“‘Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Sabbaths. I am Yahweh your God.

⁴อย่าให้ผู้ใดกลับนับถือรูปเคารพ หรือหล่อพระไว้เป็นรูปเคารพสำหรับตน เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

⁴“‘Don’t turn to idols, nor make molten gods for yourselves. I am Yahweh your God.

⁵เมื่อเจ้าถวายสันติบูชาแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ จงถวายด้วยความเต็มใจ

⁵“‘When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.

⁶เจ้าจงรับประทานเครื่องบูชานั้นเสียในวันที่เจ้าถวายบูชาหรือในวันรุ่งขึ้น ถ้ามีส่วนใดเหลืออยู่จนวันที่สาม จงเผาไฟเสีย

⁶It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day: and if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned with fire.

⁷ถ้าเอาเครื่องบูชานั้นมารับประทานในวันที่สามก็เป็นที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียน ไม่เป็นที่โปรดปรานเลย

⁷If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted;

⁸เพราะฉะนั้นทุกคนที่รับประทานเครื่องบูชานั้นต้องรับโทษความชั่วช้าของเขา เพราะเขาได้ลบหลู่สิ่งบริสุทธิ์ของพระเยโฮวาห์ ผู้นั้นจะต้องถูกตัดขาดจากชนชาติของตน

⁸but everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of Yahweh, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.

⁹เมื่อเจ้าทั้งหลายเกี่ยวข้าวในนา อย่าเกี่ยวเก็บข้าวที่ขอบนาให้หมด เมื่อเกี่ยวแล้วก็อย่าเก็บข้าวที่ตก

⁹“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.

¹⁰อย่าเก็บผลที่สวนองุ่นให้หมด เจ้าอย่าเก็บองุ่นที่ตกในสวนของเจ้า จงเหลือไว้ให้คนยากจนและคนต่างด้าวบ้าง เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

¹⁰You shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Yahweh your God.

¹¹เจ้าอย่าลักทรัพย์ หรือโกงหรือมุสาต่อกัน

¹¹“‘You shall not steal. “‘You shall not lie. “‘You shall not deceive one another.

¹²อย่าปฏิญาณออกนามของเราเป็นความเท็จ หรือกระทำให้พระนามพระเจ้าของเจ้าเป็นที่เหยียดหยาม เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์

¹²“‘You shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of your God. I am Yahweh.

¹³เจ้าอย่าฉ้อโกงเพื่อนบ้านหรือปล้นเขา อย่าให้ค่าจ้างของลูกจ้างค้างอยู่กับเจ้าจนถึงรุ่งเช้า

¹³“‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. “‘The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

¹⁴เจ้าอย่าแช่งคนหูหนวก หรือวางของให้คนตาบอดสะดุด แต่เจ้าจงยำเกรงพระเจ้าของเจ้า เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์

¹⁴“‘You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind; but you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.

¹⁵เจ้าอย่าพิพากษาด้วยความอยุติธรรม เจ้าอย่าลำเอียงเข้าข้างคนจนหรือเห็นแก่หน้าผู้เป็นใหญ่ แต่เจ้าจงพิพากษาเพื่อนบ้านของเจ้าด้วยความชอบธรรม

¹⁵“‘You shall do no injustice in judgment: you shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness.

¹⁶อย่าเทียวขึ้นเทียวล่องคอยส่อเสียดท่ามกลางชนชาติของตน และอย่าปองร้ายต่อเลือดของเพื่อนบ้าน เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์

¹⁶“‘You shall not go up and down as a slanderer among your people. “‘You shall not endanger the life literally, “blood” of your neighbor. I am Yahweh.

¹⁷อย่าเกลียดชังพี่น้องของเจ้าอยู่ในใจ แต่เจ้าจงตักเตือนเพื่อนบ้านของเจ้า เพื่อเจ้าจะไม่ต้องรับโทษเพราะเขา

¹⁷“‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

¹⁸เจ้าอย่าแก้แค้นหรือผูกพยาบาทลูกหลานญาติพี่น้องของเจ้า แต่เจ้าจงรักเพื่อนบ้านเหมือนรักตนเอง เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์

¹⁸“‘You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh.

¹⁹เจ้าจงรักษากฎเกณฑ์ของเรา เจ้าอย่าประสมสัตว์ของเจ้ากับสัตว์ประเภทอื่น เจ้าอย่าหว่านพืชปนกันสองชนิดในนาของเจ้า อย่าใช้เครื่องแต่งกายที่ทำด้วยขนสัตว์ปนด้วยป่าน

¹⁹“‘You shall keep my statutes. “‘You shall not crossbreed different kinds of animals. “‘you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; “‘neither shall there come upon on you a garment made of two kinds of material.

²⁰ถ้าผู้ใดเข้านอนกับผู้หญิงที่เป็นทาสี ที่ชายอีกคนหนึ่งสู่ขอไว้แล้วแต่ยังมิได้ไถ่ถอนหรือปล่อยเป็นอิสระ ต้องลงโทษเธอ แต่อย่าให้ถึงตาย เพราะว่าทาสีนั้นยังไม่เป็นอิสระ

²⁰“‘If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed, or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

²¹แต่ให้ผู้นั้นนำเครื่องบูชาไถ่การละเมิดสำหรับตัวเขาถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์ที่ประตูพลับพลาแห่งชุมนุม คือแกะผู้ตัวหนึ่งเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่การละเมิด

²¹He shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a trespass offering.

²²และปุโรหิตจะทำการลบมลทินบาปของเขาด้วยถวายแกะผู้นั้นเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่การละเมิดต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะบาปซึ่งเขาได้กระทำไป และให้เขาได้รับการอภัยบาปที่เขาได้กระทำไปนั้นเสีย

²²The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before Yahweh for his sin which he has committed: and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.

²³เมื่อเจ้าเข้าไปในแผ่นดินและปลูกต้นไม้ทุกชนิดที่มีผลเป็นอาหาร ผลที่ได้นั้นต้องเป็นผลที่ต้องห้าม สามปีเป็นผลที่ต้องห้ามแก่เจ้า เจ้าอย่ารับประทานเลย

²³“‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. literally, “uncircumcised” Three years shall they be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.

²⁴และปีที่สี่ ผลที่ได้ทั้งหมดจะเป็นของบริสุทธิ์เพื่อใช้ในการสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์

²⁴But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to Yahweh.

²⁵แต่ในปีที่ห้าเจ้าจงรับประทานผลไม้นั้นได้ เพื่อจะบังเกิดผลทวีขึ้นเพื่อเจ้า เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

²⁵In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am Yahweh your God.

²⁶เจ้าอย่ารับประทานเนื้อสัตว์ที่มีเลือดในเนื้อนั้น เจ้าอย่าเป็นหมอผีหรือเป็นหมอดู

²⁶“‘You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it; neither shall you use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.

²⁷เจ้าอย่ากันผมที่จอนหูหรือกันริมเคราของเจ้า

²⁷“‘You shall not cut the hair on the sides of your heads, neither shall you clip off the edge of your beard.

²⁸เจ้าอย่าเชือดเนื้อของเจ้าเพราะเหตุมีคนตาย หรือสักเป็นเครื่องหมายใดๆลงที่ตัวเจ้า เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์

²⁸“‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Yahweh.

²⁹อย่าทำบุตรสาวของตนให้เป็นคนลามกด้วยให้เป็นหญิงโสเภณี เกลือกว่าแผ่นดินนั้นจะเป็นถิ่นการโสเภณี และแผ่นดินจะเต็มด้วยความลามก

²⁹“‘Don’t profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.

³⁰เจ้าจงรักษาสะบาโตทั้งหลายของเรา และเคารพต่อสถานบริสุทธิ์ของเรา เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์

³⁰“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am Yahweh.

³¹อย่าไปหาคนทรงหรือพ่อมดแม่มด อย่าเที่ยวค้นหา ให้ตนมลทินไปเพราะเขาเลย เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

³¹“‘Don’t turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God.

³²เจ้าจงลุกขึ้นคำนับคนผมหงอก และเคารพต่อหน้าคนชรา และจงยำเกรงพระเจ้าของเจ้า เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์

³²“‘You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.

³³เมื่อคนต่างด้าวอาศัยอยู่กับเจ้าในแผ่นดินของเจ้า อย่าข่มเหงเขา

³³“‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.

³⁴คนต่างด้าวที่อาศัยอยู่กับเจ้านั้นก็เหมือนกับชาวเมืองของเจ้า เจ้าจงรักเขาเหมือนกับรักตัวเอง เพราะว่าเจ้าเคยเป็นคนต่างด้าวในแผ่นดินอียิปต์ เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

³⁴The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.

³⁵เจ้าอย่ากระทำผิดในการพิพากษา ในการวัดยาว หรือชั่งน้ำหนักหรือนับจำนวน

³⁵“‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.

³⁶เจ้าจงใช้ตาชั่งเที่ยงตรง ลูกตุ้มเที่ยงตรง เอฟาห์เที่ยงตรง และฮินเที่ยงตรง เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า ผู้ได้พาเจ้าออกมาจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์

³⁶You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, 1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel and a just hin. I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

³⁷ดังนี้แหละเจ้าจงรักษากฎเกณฑ์ทั้งหมดของเราและคำตัดสินของเราทั้งสิ้นและกระทำตาม เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์"

³⁷“‘You shall observe all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them. I am Yahweh.’”
