¹พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสกับโมเสสว่า

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²"จงกล่าวแก่คนอิสราเอลซ้ำอีกว่า คนอิสราเอลคนใดหรือคนต่างด้าวคนใดที่อาศัยอยู่ในอิสราเอล ผู้ที่มอบเชื้อสายของตนให้แก่พระโมเลค ผู้นั้นต้องมีโทษถึงตาย ให้ประชาชนแห่งแผ่นดินเอาหินขว้างเขาเสียให้ตาย

²“Moreover, you shall tell the children of Israel, ‘Anyone of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners in Israel, who gives any of his seed to Molech; he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.

³และเราจะตั้งหน้าของเราต่อสู้ผู้นั้น และจะตัดเขาออกเสียจากท่ามกลางชนชาติของตน เพราะว่าเขาได้มอบเชื้อสายของเขาแก่พระโมเลค กระทำให้สถานบริสุทธิ์ของเราเป็นมลทิน และลบหลู่นามบริสุทธิ์ของเรา

³I also will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people because he has given of his seed to Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

⁴และถ้าประชาชนในแผ่นดินนั้นไม่เอาใจใส่ที่จะฆ่าคนนั้นเมื่อเขาให้เชื้อสายแก่พระโมเลค

⁴If the people of the land all hide their eyes from that person, when he gives of his seed to Molech, and don’t put him to death;

⁵เราจะตั้งหน้าของเราต่อสู้ผู้นั้น และต่อสู้กับครอบครัวของเขา และจะตัดเขาและผู้ใดที่ทำตามเขาในการเล่นชู้กับพระโมเลคออกเสียจากชนชาติของตน

⁵then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all who play the prostitute after him, to play the prostitute with Molech, from among their people.

⁶ผู้ที่หันไปหาคนทรงเจ้าเข้าผีหรือพวกพ่อมดหมอผี เล่นชู้กับเขา เราจะตั้งหน้าของเราต่อสู้ผู้นั้นและจะตัดเขาออกเสียจากชนชาติของตน

⁶“‘The person that turns to those who are mediums, and to the wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.

⁷เหตุฉะนั้นเจ้าจงชำระตัวให้บริสุทธิ์ เพราะเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า

⁷“‘Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am Yahweh your God.

⁸จงรักษากฎเกณฑ์ของเราและกระทำตาม เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ตั้งเจ้าไว้ให้บริสุทธิ์

⁸You shall keep my statutes, and do them. I am Yahweh who sanctifies you.

⁹เพราะว่าทุกคนที่แช่งบิดาหรือมารดาของตนจะต้องมีโทษถึงตาย เขาได้แช่งบิดาหรือมารดาของเขา ให้โลหิตของผู้นั้นตกอยู่บนผู้นั้นเอง

⁹“‘For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death: he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

¹⁰ถ้าผู้ใดร่วมประเวณีกับภรรยาของผู้อื่น คือเขาได้ร่วมประเวณีกับภรรยาของเพื่อนบ้าน ต้องให้ผู้ร่วมประเวณีทั้งชายและหญิงนั้นมีโทษถึงตายเป็นแน่

¹⁰“‘The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

¹¹ผู้ชายที่หลับนอนกับภรรยาของบิดาตนก็ได้เปิดกายที่เปลือยเปล่าของบิดาตน ทั้งสองคนนั้นจะต้องถูกประหารให้ตายอย่างแน่นอน ให้โลหิตของผู้นั้นตกอยู่บนผู้นั้นเอง

¹¹“‘The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

¹²ถ้าผู้ใดเข้านอนกับลูกสะใภ้ ต้องให้ทั้งสองคนนั้นมีโทษถึงตายเป็นแน่ เพราะเขาได้กระทำกามวิปลาส ให้โลหิตของผู้นั้นตกอยู่บนผู้นั้นเอง

¹²“‘If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have committed a perversion; their blood shall be upon them.

¹³ถ้าชายคนใดคนหนึ่งหลับนอนกับผู้ชายด้วยกันเหมือนอย่างที่เขาหลับนอนกับผู้หญิง ทั้งสองคนก็ได้กระทำสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียน ทั้งสองคนนั้นจะต้องถูกประหารให้ตายอย่างแน่นอน ให้โลหิตของผู้นั้นตกอยู่บนผู้นั้นเอง

¹³“‘If a man lies with a male, as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

¹⁴และถ้าชายใดได้ภรรยาและได้มารดาของนางมาเป็นภรรยาด้วย นี่เป็นเรื่องชั่วนัก ให้เผาทั้งชายนั้นและหญิงทั้งสองนั้นเสียด้วยไฟ เพื่อว่าจะไม่มีความชั่วร้ายในหมู่พวกเจ้า

¹⁴“‘If a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burned with fire, both he and they; that there may be no wickedness among you.

¹⁵ถ้าชายใดสมสู่กับสัตว์เดียรัจฉาน ต้องให้ชายคนนั้นมีโทษถึงตายเป็นแน่ และเจ้าจงฆ่าสัตว์เดียรัจฉานนั้นเสียให้ตาย

¹⁵“‘If a man lies with an animal, he shall surely be put to death; and you shall kill the animal.

¹⁶ถ้าหญิงคนใดเข้าใกล้สัตว์เดียรัจฉาน และเข้านอนกับมัน เจ้าจงฆ่าหญิงนั้นและสัตว์เดียรัจฉานนั้นเสียให้ตาย ทั้งสองต้องมีโทษถึงตายเป็นแน่ ให้โลหิตของผู้นั้นตกอยู่บนผู้นั้นเอง

¹⁶“‘If a woman approaches any animal, and lies down with it, you shall kill the woman, and the animal: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

¹⁷ถ้าชายใดพาพี่สาวหรือน้องสาวของตน คือบุตรสาวของบิดา หรือบุตรสาวของมารดา และดูการเปลือยกายของเธอและเธอก็ดูการเปลือยกายของเขา นี่เป็นสิ่งที่น่าอายมาก เขาจะต้องถูกตัดขาดท่ามกลางสายตาของชนชาติของเขา เพราะเขาได้เปิดกายที่เปลือยเปล่าของพี่สาวน้องสาวของเขา เขาต้องรับโทษความชั่วช้าของเขา

¹⁷“‘If a man takes his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness; it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he has uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

¹⁸ถ้าชายใดเข้านอนกับหญิงผู้มีประจำเดือน และเปิดกายที่เปลือยเปล่าของเธอ เขาได้กระทำให้แหล่งโลหิตของเธอเปิด ส่วนเธอก็เปิดแหล่งโลหิตของเธอ เขาทั้งสองจะต้องถูกตัดขาดจากชนชาติของเขา

¹⁸“‘If a man lies with a woman having her monthly period, and uncovers her nakedness; he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

¹⁹เจ้าอย่าเปิดกายที่เปลือยเปล่าของพี่สาวหรือน้องสาวมารดาเจ้า หรือพี่สาวน้องสาวของบิดาเจ้า เพราะผู้นั้นได้เปิดกายที่เปลือยเปล่าของญาติสนิท เขาจะต้องรับโทษความชั่วช้าของเขา

¹⁹“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, nor of your father’s sister; for he has made naked his close relative: they shall bear their iniquity.

²⁰ถ้าชายคนใดคนหนึ่งหลับนอนกับภรรยาของลุง เขาได้เปิดกายที่เปลือยเปล่าของลุง ทั้งสองจะต้องรับโทษบาปของเขา เขาจะต้องตายโดยไม่มีบุตร

²⁰If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

²¹ถ้าชายคนใดคนหนึ่งเอาภรรยาของพี่ชายหรือน้องชายไป ก็เป็นการมลทิน เขาได้เปิดกายที่เปลือยเปล่าของพี่ชายหรือน้องชาย เขาเหล่านั้นจะต้องไม่มีบุตร

²¹“‘If a man takes his brother’s wife, it is an impurity: he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness; they shall be childless.

²²เพราะฉะนั้นเจ้าจงรักษากฎเกณฑ์ทั้งสิ้นของเรา และคำตัดสินทั้งสิ้นของเราและกระทำตาม เพื่อว่าแผ่นดินซึ่งเรานำเจ้าให้มาอยู่นั้นจะมิได้สำรอกเจ้าให้ออกไปเสีย

²²“‘You shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them; that the land, where I am bringing you to dwell, may not vomit you out.

²³และเจ้าอย่าประพฤติตามธรรมเนียมของประชาชาติที่เราไล่ไปเสียให้พ้นหน้าเจ้า ด้วยว่าเขาทั้งหลายได้ประพฤติผิดในสิ่งทั้งปวงเหล่านี้ เราจึงเกลียดชังเขา

²³You shall not walk in the customs of the nation, which I am casting out before you: for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

²⁴แต่เราได้บอกเจ้าแล้วว่า เจ้าทั้งหลายจะได้รับแผ่นดินนี้เป็นมรดก เราจะให้แก่เจ้าเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ เป็นแผ่นดินที่มีน้ำนมและน้ำผึ้งไหลบริบูรณ์ เราคือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า ผู้ได้แยกเจ้าออกจากชนชาติทั้งหลาย

²⁴But I have said to you, “You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am Yahweh your God, who has separated you from the peoples.

²⁵เหตุฉะนั้นเจ้าจงแยกแยะความแตกต่างระหว่างสัตว์สะอาดและสัตว์มลทิน ระหว่างนกมลทินและนกสะอาด เจ้าอย่ากระทำตัวให้เป็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนด้วยสัตว์หรือนกหรือสิ่งมีชีวิตในลักษณะใดๆ ที่เลื้อยคลานอยู่บนดิน ซึ่งเราได้แยกให้เจ้าแล้วว่าเป็นสิ่งมลทิน

²⁵“‘You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean: and you shall not make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean for you.

²⁶เจ้าต้องบริสุทธิ์สำหรับเรา เพราะเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์บริสุทธิ์ และได้แยกเจ้าออกจากชนชาติทั้งหลายเพื่อเจ้าจะเป็นของเรา

²⁶You shall be holy to me: for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.

²⁷ชายหรือหญิงคนใดที่เป็นคนทรงหรือพ่อมดแม่มด จงฆ่าเสีย จงเอาหินขว้างให้ตาย ให้โลหิตของผู้นั้นตกอยู่บนผู้นั้นเอง"

²⁷“‘A man or a woman that is a medium, or is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.’”
