¹ต่อมาภายหลังพระองค์ก็เสด็จไปตามทุกบ้านทุกเมือง ทรงประกาศข่าวประเสริฐแห่งอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า สาวกสิบสองคนนั้นก็อยู่กับพระองค์

¹It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God. With him were the twelve,

²พร้อมกับผู้หญิงบางคนที่มีวิญญาณชั่วออกจากนางและที่หายโรคต่างๆ คือมารีย์ที่เรียกว่าชาวมักดาลา ที่ได้ทรงขับผีออกจากนางเจ็ดผี

²and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out;

³และโยอันนาภรรยาของคูซา ต้นเรือนของเฮโรด และซูซันนา และผู้หญิงอื่นๆหลายคนที่เคยปรนนิบัติพระองค์ด้วยการถวายสิ่งของของเขา

³and Joanna, the wife of Chuzas, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others; who served them TR reads “him” instead of “them” from their possessions.

⁴เมื่อประชาชนเป็นอันมากอยู่พร้อมกัน และคนกำลังมาหาพระองค์จากทุกเมือง พระองค์จึงตรัสเป็นคำอุปมาว่า

⁴When a great multitude came together, and people from every city were coming to him, he spoke by a parable.

⁵"มีผู้หว่านคนหนึ่งออกไปหว่านเมล็ดพืชของตน และเมื่อเขาหว่าน เมล็ดพืชนั้นก็ตกตามหนทางบ้าง ถูกเหยียบย่ำ และนกในอากาศมากินเสีย

⁵ “The farmer went out to sow his seed. As he sowed, some fell along the road, and it was trampled under foot, and the birds of the sky devoured it.

⁶บ้างก็ตกที่หิน และเมื่องอกขึ้นแล้วก็เหี่ยวแห้งไปเพราะที่ไม่ชื้น

⁶ Other seed fell on the rock, and as soon as it grew, it withered away, because it had no moisture.

⁷บ้างก็ตกที่กลางต้นหนาม ต้นหนามก็งอกขึ้นมาด้วยปกคลุมเสีย

⁷ Other fell amid the thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it.

⁸บ้างก็ตกที่ดินดี จึงงอกขึ้นเกิดผลร้อยเท่า" ครั้นพระองค์ตรัสอย่างนั้นแล้ว จึงทรงร้องว่า "ใครมีหูฟังได้ จงฟังเถิด"

⁸ Other fell into the good ground, and grew, and brought forth fruit one hundred times.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

⁹เหล่าสาวกจึงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "คำอุปมานั้นหมายความอย่างไร"

⁹Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

¹⁰พระองค์จึงตรัสว่า "ข้อความลึกลับแห่งอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าทรงโปรดให้ท่านทั้งหลายรู้ได้ แต่สำหรับคนอื่นนั้นได้ให้เป็นคำอุปมา เพื่อเมื่อเขาดูก็ไม่เห็น และเมื่อเขาได้ยินก็ไม่เข้าใจ

¹⁰He said, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables; that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’ Isaiah 6:9

¹¹คำอุปมานั้นก็อย่างนี้ เมล็ดพืชนั้นได้แก่พระวจนะของพระเจ้า

¹¹ Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

¹²ที่ตกตามหนทางได้แก่คนเหล่านั้นที่ได้ยิน แล้วพญามารมาชิงเอาพระวจนะจากใจของเขา เพื่อไม่ให้เขาเชื่อและรอดได้

¹² Those along the road are those who hear, then the devil comes, and takes away the word from their heart, that they may not believe and be saved.

¹³ซึ่งตกที่หินนั้นได้แก่คนเหล่านั้นที่ได้ยินแล้วก็รับพระวจนะนั้นด้วยความปรีดี แต่ไม่มีราก เชื่อได้แต่ชั่วคราว เมื่อถูกทดลองเขาก็หลงเสียไป

¹³ Those on the rock are they who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; but these have no root, who believe for a while, then fall away in time of temptation.

¹⁴ที่ตกกลางหนามนั้นได้แก่คนเหล่านั้นที่ได้ยินแล้วออกไป และความปรารภปรารมย์ ทรัพย์สมบัติ ความสนุกสนานแห่งชีวิตนี้ก็ปกคลุมเขา ผลของเขาจึงไม่เติบโต

¹⁴ That which fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

¹⁵และซึ่งตกที่ดินดีนั้น ได้แก่คนเหล่านั้นที่ได้ยินพระวจนะด้วยใจซื่อสัตย์และดีแล้วก็จดจำไว้ จึงเกิดผลด้วยความเพียร

¹⁵ That in the good ground, these are such as in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, hold it tightly, and bring forth fruit with patience.

¹⁶ไม่มีผู้ใดเมื่อจุดเทียนแล้วจะเอาภาชนะครอบไว้ หรือวางไว้ใต้เตียง แต่ตั้งไว้ที่เชิงเทียน เพื่อคนทั้งหลายที่เข้ามาจะเห็นแสงสว่างได้

¹⁶ “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container, or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.

¹⁷ด้วยว่าไม่มีสิ่งใดที่ซ่อนไว้ซึ่งจะไม่ปรากฏแจ้ง และไม่มีสิ่งใดที่ปิดบังไว้ซึ่งจะไม่รู้จะไม่ต้องแพร่งพราย

¹⁷ For nothing is hidden, that will not be revealed; nor anything secret, that will not be known and come to light.

¹⁸เหตุฉะนั้น ท่านทั้งหลายจะฟังอย่างไรก็จงเอาใจจดจ่อ เพราะว่าผู้ใดมีอยู่แล้วจะทรงเพิ่มเติมให้แก่ผู้นั้นอีก แต่ผู้ใดไม่มี แม้ซึ่งเขาคิดว่ามีอยู่นั้นจะทรงเอาไปจากเขา"

¹⁸ Be careful therefore how you hear. For whoever has, to him will be given; and whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he thinks he has.”

¹⁹ครั้งนั้นมารดาและพวกน้องชายของพระองค์มาหาพระองค์ แต่เข้าไปถึงพระองค์ไม่ได้เพราะคนมาก

¹⁹His mother and brothers came to him, and they could not come near him for the crowd.

²⁰มีคนทูลพระองค์ว่า "มารดาและน้องชายของพระองค์ยืนอยู่ข้างนอกปรารถนาจะพบพระองค์"

²⁰It was told him by some saying, “Your mother and your brothers stand outside, desiring to see you.”

²¹แต่พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "มารดาของเรา และพี่น้องของเราคือคนเหล่านั้นที่ได้ฟังพระวจนะของพระเจ้าและกระทำตาม"

²¹But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God, and do it.”

²²อยู่มาวันหนึ่งพระองค์เสด็จลงเรือกับเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ แล้วพระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ให้เราข้ามทะเลสาบไปฟากข้างโน้น" เขาก็ถอยเรือออกไป

²²Now it happened on one of those days, that he entered into a boat, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they launched out.

²³เมื่อกำลังแล่นไปพระองค์ทรงบรรทมหลับ และบังเกิดพายุกล้ากลางทะเล น้ำเข้าเรืออยู่น่ากลัวจะมีอันตราย

²³But as they sailed, he fell asleep. A wind storm came down on the lake, and they were taking on dangerous amounts of water.

²⁴เขาจึงมาปลุกพระองค์ว่า "อาจารย์เจ้าข้า อาจารย์เจ้าข้า ข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายกำลังจะพินาศอยู่แล้ว" พระองค์จึงทรงตื่นขึ้นห้ามลมและคลื่น แล้วคลื่นลมก็หยุดเงียบสงบทีเดียว

²⁴They came to him, and awoke him, saying, “Master, master, we are dying!” He awoke, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and it was calm. See Psalm 107:29

²⁵พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ความเชื่อของเจ้าอยู่ที่ไหน" เขาเหล่านั้นกลัวและประหลาดใจพูดกันว่า "ท่านผู้นี้เป็นผู้ใดจึงสั่งบังคับลมและน้ำได้ และลมกับน้ำนั้นก็เชื่อฟังท่าน"

²⁵He said to them, “Where is your faith?” Being afraid they marveled, saying one to another, “Who is this, then, that he commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him?”

²⁶เขาแล่นไปถึงแขวงชาวเมืองกาดาราที่อยู่ตรงข้ามกาลิลี

²⁶They arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.

²⁷เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จขึ้นบกแล้ว มีชายคนหนึ่งจากเมืองนั้นมาพบพระองค์ คนนั้นมีผีเข้าสิงอยู่นานแล้ว และมิได้สวมเสื้อ มิได้อยู่เรือน แต่อยู่ตามอุโมงค์ฝังศพ

²⁷When Jesus stepped ashore, a certain man out of the city who had demons for a long time met him. He wore no clothes, and didn’t live in a house, but in the tombs.

²⁸ครั้นเห็นพระเยซูเขาก็โห่ร้อง และกราบลงตรงพระพักตร์พระองค์ ร้องเสียงดังว่า "ข้าแต่พระเยซูบุตรของพระเจ้าสูงสุด พระองค์มายุ่งกับข้าพระองค์ทำไม ขอพระองค์อย่าทรมานข้าพระองค์"

²⁸When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, “What do I have to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torment me!”

²⁹(ที่พูดเช่นนี้ก็เพราะพระองค์ได้สั่งผีโสโครกให้ออกมาจากตัวคนนั้น ด้วยว่าผีนั้นแผลงฤทธิ์ในตัวเขาบ่อยๆ และเขาถูกจำด้วยโซ่ตรวน แต่เขาได้หักเครื่องจำนั้นเสีย แล้วผีก็นำเขาไปในที่เปลี่ยว)

²⁹For Jesus was commanding the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For the unclean spirit had often seized the man. He was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters. Breaking the bands apart, he was driven by the demon into the desert.

³⁰ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสถามมันว่า "เจ้าชื่ออะไร" มันทูลตอบว่า "ชื่อกอง" ด้วยว่ามีผีหลายตนเข้าสิงอยู่ในตัวเขา

³⁰Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” for many demons had entered into him.

³¹ผีนั้นจึงอ้อนวอนขอพระองค์มิให้สั่งให้มันลงไปยังนรกขุมลึก

³¹They begged him that he would not command them to go into the abyss.

³²ตำบลนั้นมีสุกรฝูงใหญ่กำลังหากินอยู่ที่ภูเขา ผีเหล่านั้นได้อ้อนวอนพระองค์ขออนุญาตให้มันเข้าสิงในฝูงสุกร พระองค์ก็ทรงอนุญาต

³²Now there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain, and they begged him that he would allow them to enter into those. He allowed them.

³³ผีเหล่านั้นจึงออกมาจากคนนั้น แล้วเข้าอยู่ในตัวสุกร สุกรทั้งฝูงก็วิ่งพุ่งกระโดดจากหน้าผาชันลงไปในทะเลสาบสำลักน้ำตาย

³³The demons came out from the man, and entered into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and were drowned.

³⁴ฝ่ายคนเลี้ยงสุกรเมื่อเห็นเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น ต่างก็หนีไปเล่าเรื่องนั้นทั้งในเมืองและนอกเมือง

³⁴When those who fed them saw what had happened, they fled, and told it in the city and in the country.

³⁵คนทั้งหลายจึงออกไปดูเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น และเมื่อเขามาถึงพระเยซู ก็เห็นคนนั้นที่มีผีออกจากตัวนุ่งห่มผ้ามีสติอารมณ์ดี นั่งใกล้พระบาทพระเยซู เขาทั้งหลายก็พากันกลัว

³⁵People went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

³⁶ฝ่ายคนทั้งหลายที่ได้เห็น ก็เล่าให้เขาทั้งหลายฟังถึงเรื่องคนที่ผีสิงได้หายปกติอย่างไร

³⁶Those who saw it told them how he who had been possessed by demons was healed.

³⁷ชาวเมืองกาดาราและคนทั้งปวงที่อยู่ตามชนบทโดยรอบ จึงอ้อนวอนพระองค์ให้ไปเสียจากเขา เพราะว่าเขากลัวยิ่งนัก พระองค์จึงเสด็จลงเรือกลับไป

³⁷All the people of the surrounding country of the Gadarenes asked him to depart from them, for they were very much afraid. He entered into the boat, and returned.

³⁸คนที่ผีออกจากตัวนั้นอ้อนวอนขอติดตามพระองค์ แต่พระเยซูตรัสสั่งเขาให้ไปว่า

³⁸But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

³⁹"จงกลับไปบ้านเรือนของตัว และบอกถึงเรื่องการใหญ่ซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงกระทำแก่เจ้า" แล้วคนนั้นก็ไปประกาศแก่คนทั้งเมืองถึงเหตุการณ์ใหญ่ยิ่งที่พระเยซูได้ทรงกระทำแก่ตน

³⁹ “Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

⁴⁰ต่อมาเมื่อพระเยซูเสด็จกลับมาแล้ว ประชาชนก็ต้อนรับพระองค์ด้วยความยินดี เพราะเขาทั้งหลายคอยท่าพระองค์อยู่

⁴⁰It happened, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

⁴¹ดูเถิด มีชายคนหนึ่งชื่อไยรัส เป็นนายธรรมศาลา มากราบลงที่พระบาทพระเยซู อ้อนวอนพระองค์ให้เสด็จเข้าไปในเรือนของเขา

⁴¹Behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. He fell down at Jesus’ feet, and begged him to come into his house,

⁴²เพราะว่าเขามีบุตรสาวคนเดียว อายุประมาณสิบสองปี และบุตรสาวนั้นนอนป่วยอยู่เกือบจะตาย เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จไปนั้น ประชาชนเบียดเสียดพระองค์

⁴²for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as he went, the multitudes pressed against him.

⁴³มีผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งเป็นโรคตกโลหิตได้สิบสองปีมาแล้ว และได้ใช้ทรัพย์ทั้งหมดของเธอเป็นค่าหมอ ไม่มีผู้ใดรักษาให้หายได้

⁴³A woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her living on physicians, and could not be healed by any,

⁴⁴ผู้หญิงนั้นแอบมาข้างหลังถูกต้องชายฉลองพระองค์ และในทันใดนั้นโลหิตที่ตกก็หยุด

⁴⁴came behind him, and touched the fringe or, tassel of his cloak, and immediately the flow of her blood stopped.

⁴⁵พระเยซูจึงตรัสถามว่า "ใครได้ถูกต้องเรา" เมื่อคนทั้งหลายได้ปฏิเสธ เปโตรกับคนที่อยู่ด้วยกันจึงทูลว่า "อาจารย์เจ้าข้า ก็เป็นเพราะประชาชนเบียดเสียดพระองค์ และพระองค์ยังทรงถามอีกหรือว่า `ใครได้ถูกต้องเรา'"

⁴⁵Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

⁴⁶แต่พระเยซูตรัสว่า "มีผู้หนึ่งได้ถูกต้องเรา เพราะเรารู้สึกว่าฤทธิ์ได้ซ่านออกจากตัวเรา"

⁴⁶But Jesus said, “Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me.”

⁴⁷เมื่อผู้หญิงนั้นเห็นว่าจะซ่อนตัวไว้ไม่ได้แล้ว เธอก็เข้ามาตัวสั่นกราบลงตรงพระพักตร์พระองค์ ทูลพระองค์ต่อหน้าคนทั้งปวงว่า เธอได้ถูกต้องพระองค์เพราะเหตุอะไร และได้หายโรคในทันใดนั้น

⁴⁷When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

⁴⁸พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ลูกสาวเอ๋ย จงมีกำลังใจเถิด ความเชื่อของเจ้าได้กระทำให้เจ้าหายโรคแล้ว จงไปเป็นสุขเถิด"

⁴⁸He said to her, “Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

⁴⁹เมื่อพระองค์กำลังตรัสอยู่ มีคนหนึ่งมาจากบ้านนายธรรมศาลา บอกเขาว่า "ลูกสาวของท่านตายเสียแล้ว ไม่ต้องรบกวนท่านอาจารย์ต่อไป"

⁴⁹While he still spoke, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher.”

⁵⁰ฝ่ายพระเยซูเมื่อได้ยินจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "อย่ากลัวเลย จงเชื่อเท่านั้นและลูกจะหายดี"

⁵⁰But Jesus hearing it, answered him, “Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed.”

⁵¹เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในเรือน พระองค์ไม่ทรงยอมให้ผู้ใดเข้าไป เว้นแต่เปโตร ยากอบ ยอห์น และบิดามารดาของเด็กนั้น

⁵¹When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother.

⁵²คนทั้งหลายจึงร้องไห้ร่ำไรเพราะเด็กนั้น แต่พระองค์ตรัสว่า "อย่าร้องไห้เลย เขาไม่ตาย แต่นอนหลับอยู่"

⁵²All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, “Don’t weep. She isn’t dead, but sleeping.”

⁵³คนทั้งปวงก็พากันหัวเราะเยาะพระองค์ เพราะรู้ว่าเด็กนั้นตายแล้ว

⁵³They were ridiculing him, knowing that she was dead.

⁵⁴ฝ่ายพระองค์ทรงไล่คนทั้งหมดออกไป แล้วทรงจับมือเด็กนั้น ตรัสว่า "ลูกเอ๋ย จงลุกขึ้นเถิด"

⁵⁴But he put them all outside, and taking her by the hand, he called, saying, “Child, arise!”

⁵⁵แล้วจิตวิญญาณก็กลับเข้าในเด็กนั้น เขาก็ลุกขึ้นทันที พระองค์จึงตรัสสั่งให้เอาอาหารมาให้เขากิน

⁵⁵Her spirit returned, and she rose up immediately. He commanded that something be given to her to eat.

⁵⁶ฝ่ายบิดามารดาของเด็กนั้นก็ประหลาดใจ แต่พระองค์ทรงห้ามเขาไม่ให้บอกผู้ใดให้รู้เหตุการณ์ซึ่งเป็นมานั้น

⁵⁶Her parents were amazed, but he commanded them to tell no one what had been done.
