¹ครั้นพระองค์กับพวกสาวกมาใกล้กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม ถึงหมู่บ้านเบธฟายี เชิงภูเขามะกอกเทศ แล้วพระเยซูทรงใช้สาวกสองคน

¹When they drew near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethsphage, TR & NU read “Bethphage” instead of “Bethsphage” to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,

²ตรัสสั่งเขาว่า "จงเข้าไปในหมู่บ้านที่อยู่ตรงหน้าท่าน ทันทีท่านจะพบแม่ลาตัวหนึ่งผูกอยู่กับลูกของมัน จงแก้จูงมาให้เรา

²saying to them, “Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them, and bring them to me.

³ถ้ามีผู้ใดว่าอะไรแก่ท่าน ท่านจงว่า `องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าต้องพระประสงค์' แล้วเขาจะปล่อยให้มาทันที"

³ If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and immediately he will send them.”

⁴เหตุการณ์นี้เกิดขึ้นเพื่อจะให้พระวจนะที่ตรัสโดยศาสดาพยากรณ์สำเร็จซึ่งว่า

⁴All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,

⁵`จงบอกธิดาแห่งศิโยนว่า ดูเถิด กษัตริย์ของเธอเสด็จมาหาเธอ โดยพระทัยอ่อนสุภาพ ทรงแม่ลากับลูกของมัน'

⁵“Tell the daughter of Zion, behold, your King comes to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9

⁶สาวกทั้งสองคนนั้นก็ไปทำตามพระเยซูตรัสสั่งเขาไว้

⁶The disciples went, and did just as Jesus commanded them,

⁷จึงจูงแม่ลากับลูกของมันมา และเอาเสื้อผ้าของตนปูบนหลัง แล้วเขาให้พระองค์ทรงลานั้น

⁷and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their clothes on them; and he sat on them.

⁸ฝูงชนเป็นอันมากได้เอาเสื้อผ้าของตนปูตามถนนหนทาง คนอื่นๆก็ตัดกิ่งไม้มาปูตามถนน

⁸A very great multitude spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees, and spread them on the road.

⁹ฝ่ายฝูงชนซึ่งเดินไปข้างหน้ากับผู้ที่ตามมาข้างหลังก็พร้อมกันโห่ร้องว่า "โฮซันนาแก่ราชโอรสของดาวิด `ขอให้พระองค์ผู้เสด็จมาในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงพระเจริญ โฮซันนา' ในที่สูงสุด"

⁹The multitudes who went before him, and who followed kept shouting, “Hosanna “Hosanna” means “save us” or “help us, we pray.” to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” Psalm 118:26

¹⁰เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มแล้ว ประชาชนทั่วทั้งกรุงก็พากันแตกตื่นถามว่า "ท่านผู้นี้เป็นผู้ใด"

¹⁰When he had come into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?”

¹¹ฝูงชนก็ตอบว่า "นี้คือเยซูศาสดาพยากรณ์ซึ่งมาจากนาซาเร็ธแคว้นกาลิลี"

¹¹The multitudes said, “This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”

¹²พระเยซูจึงเสด็จเข้าไปในพระวิหารของพระเจ้า ทรงขับไล่บรรดาผู้ซื้อขายในพระวิหารนั้น และคว่ำโต๊ะผู้รับแลกเงิน กับทั้งคว่ำที่นั่งผู้ขายนกเขาเสีย

¹²Jesus entered into the temple of God, and drove out all of those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the money changers’ tables and the seats of those who sold the doves.

¹³และตรัสกับเขาว่า "มีพระวจนะเขียนไว้ว่า `นิเวศของเราเขาจะเรียกว่าเป็นนิเวศอธิษฐาน' แต่เจ้าทั้งหลายมากระทำให้เป็น `ถ้ำของพวกโจร'"

¹³He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ Isaiah 56:7 but you have made it a den of robbers!” Jeremiah 7:11

¹⁴คนตาบอดและคนง่อยพากันมาเฝ้าพระองค์ในพระวิหาร พระองค์ได้ทรงรักษาเขาให้หาย

¹⁴The blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

¹⁵แต่เมื่อพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่กับพวกธรรมาจารย์ได้เห็นการมหัศจรรย์ที่พระองค์ทรงกระทำ ทั้งได้ยินหมู่เด็กร้องในพระวิหารว่า "โฮซันนาแก่ราชโอรสของดาวิด" เขาทั้งหลายก็พากันแค้นเคือง

¹⁵But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the son of David!” they were indignant,

¹⁶และจึงทูลพระองค์ว่า "ท่านไม่ได้ยินคำที่เขาร้องหรือ" พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ได้ยินแล้ว พวกท่านยังไม่เคยอ่านหรือว่า `จากปากของเด็กอ่อนและเด็กที่ยังดูดนม ท่านก็ได้รับคำสรรเสริญอันจริงแท้'"

¹⁶and said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes. Did you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing babies you have perfected praise?’” Psalm 8:2

¹⁷พระองค์ได้ทรงละจากเขาและเสด็จออกจากกรุงไปประทับอยู่ที่หมู่บ้านเบธานี

¹⁷He left them, and went out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.

¹⁸ครั้นเวลาเช้าขณะที่พระองค์เสด็จกลับไปยังกรุงอีก พระองค์ก็ทรงหิวพระกระยาหาร

¹⁸Now in the morning, as he returned to the city, he was hungry.

¹⁹และเมื่อพระองค์ทรงทอดพระเนตรเห็นต้นมะเดื่อต้นหนึ่งอยู่ริมทาง พระองค์ก็ทรงดำเนินเข้าไปใกล้ เห็นต้นมะเดื่อนั้นไม่มีผลมีแต่ใบเท่านั้น จึงตรัสกับต้นมะเดื่อนั้นว่า "เจ้าจงอย่ามีผลอีกต่อไป" ทันใดนั้นต้นมะเดื่อก็เหี่ยวแห้งไป

¹⁹Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, “Let there be no fruit from you forever!” Immediately the fig tree withered away.

²⁰ครั้นเหล่าสาวกได้เห็นก็ประหลาดใจ แล้วว่า "เป็นอย่างไรหนอต้นมะเดื่อจึงเหี่ยวแห้งไปในทันใด"

²⁰When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree immediately wither away?”

²¹ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า เพียงท่านมีความเชื่อและมิได้สงสัย ท่านจะกระทำได้เช่นที่เราได้กระทำแก่ต้นมะเดื่อนี้ ยิ่งกว่านั้น ถึงแม้ท่านจะสั่งภูเขานี้ว่า `จงถอยไปลงทะเล' ก็จะสำเร็จได้

²¹Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, if you have faith, and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you told this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it would be done.

²²สิ่งสารพัดซึ่งท่านอธิษฐานขอด้วยความเชื่อ ท่านจะได้"

²² All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

²³เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในพระวิหารในเวลาที่ทรงสั่งสอนอยู่ พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่และพวกผู้ใหญ่ของประชาชนมาหาพระองค์ทูลถามว่า "ท่านมีสิทธิอันใดจึงได้ทำเช่นนี้ ใครให้สิทธินี้แก่ท่าน"

²³When he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, “By what authority do you do these things? Who gave you this authority?”

²⁴พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "เราจะถามท่านทั้งหลายสักข้อหนึ่งด้วย ซึ่งถ้าท่านบอกเราได้ เราจะบอกท่านเหมือนกันว่าเรากระทำการนี้โดยสิทธิอันใด

²⁴Jesus answered them, “I also will ask you one question, which if you tell me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things.

²⁵คือบัพติศมาของยอห์นนั้นมาจากไหน มาจากสวรรค์หรือจากมนุษย์" เขาได้ปรึกษากันว่า "ถ้าเราจะว่า `มาจากสวรรค์' ท่านจะถามเราว่า `เหตุไฉนท่านจึงไม่เชื่อยอห์นเล่า'

²⁵ The baptism of John, where was it from? From heaven or from men?” They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’

²⁶แต่ถ้าเราจะว่า `มาจากมนุษย์' เราก็กลัวประชาชน เพราะประชาชนทั้งปวงถือว่ายอห์นเป็นศาสดาพยากรณ์"

²⁶But if we say, ‘From men,’ we fear the multitude, for all hold John as a prophet.”

²⁷เขาจึงทูลตอบพระเยซูว่า "พวกข้าพเจ้าไม่ทราบ" พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "เราจะไม่บอกท่านทั้งหลายเหมือนกันว่า เรากระทำการนี้โดยสิทธิอันใด

²⁷They answered Jesus, and said, “We don’t know.” He also said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

²⁸แต่ท่านทั้งหลายคิดเห็นอย่างไร คนหนึ่งมีบุตรชายสองคน บิดาไปหาบุตรคนแรกว่า `ลูกเอ๋ย วันนี้จงไปทำงานในสวนองุ่นเถิด'

²⁸ But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, ‘Son, go work today in my vineyard.’

²⁹บุตรคนนั้นตอบว่า `ข้าพเจ้าไม่ไป' แต่ภายหลังกลับใจแล้วไปทำ

²⁹ He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he changed his mind, and went.

³⁰บิดาจึงไปหาบุตรคนที่สองพูดเช่นเดียวกัน บุตรนั้นตอบว่า `ข้าพเจ้าไปขอรับ' แต่ไม่ไป

³⁰ He came to the second, and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I go, sir,’ but he didn’t go.

³¹ก็บุตรสองคนนี้คนไหนเป็นผู้ทำตามความประสงค์ของบิดาเล่า" เขาทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "คือบุตรคนแรก" พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า พวกเก็บภาษีและหญิงโสเภณีก็เข้าไปในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าก่อนท่านทั้งหลาย

³¹ Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to him, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Most certainly I tell you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering into the Kingdom of God before you.

³²ด้วยยอห์นได้มาหาพวกท่านในทางชอบธรรม ท่านหาเชื่อยอห์นไม่ แต่พวกเก็บภาษีและพวกหญิงโสเภณีได้เชื่อยอห์น ฝ่ายท่านทั้งหลายถึงแม้ได้เห็นแล้ว ภายหลังก็มิได้กลับใจเชื่อยอห์น

³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you didn’t believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. When you saw it, you didn’t even repent afterward, that you might believe him.

³³จงฟังคำอุปมาอีกเรื่องหนึ่งว่า ยังมีเจ้าของสวนผู้หนึ่งได้ทำสวนองุ่น แล้วล้อมรั้วต้นไม้ไว้รอบ เขาได้สกัดบ่อย่ำองุ่นในสวน และสร้างหอเฝ้า ให้ชาวสวนเช่าแล้วก็ไปเมืองไกลเสีย

³³ “Hear another parable. There was a man who was a master of a household, who planted a vineyard, set a hedge about it, dug a winepress in it, built a tower, leased it out to farmers, and went into another country.

³⁴ครั้นถึงฤดูผลองุ่น จึงใช้พวกผู้รับใช้ไปหาคนเช่าสวน เพื่อจะรับผลของเขา

³⁴ When the season for the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the farmers, to receive his fruit.

³⁵และคนเช่าสวนนั้นจับพวกผู้รับใช้ของเขา เฆี่ยนตีเสียคนหนึ่ง ฆ่าเสียคนหนึ่ง เอาหินขว้างเสียให้ตายคนหนึ่ง

³⁵ The farmers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

³⁶อีกครั้งหนึ่งเขาก็ใช้ผู้รับใช้อื่นๆไปมากกว่าครั้งก่อน แต่คนเช่าสวนก็ได้ทำแก่เขาอย่างนั้นอีก

³⁶ Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they treated them the same way.

³⁷ครั้งที่สุดเขาก็ใช้บุตรชายของเขาไปหา พูดว่า `เขาคงจะเคารพบุตรชายของเรา'

³⁷ But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

³⁸แต่เมื่อคนเช่าสวนเห็นบุตรชายเจ้าของสวนมาก็พูดกันว่า `คนนี้แหละเป็นทายาท มาเถิด ให้เราฆ่าเสียเถอะ แล้วให้เรายึดมรดกของเขา'

³⁸ But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and seize his inheritance.’

³⁹เขาจึงพากันจับบุตรนั้น ผลักออกไปนอกสวนแล้วฆ่าเสีย

³⁹ So they took him, and threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

⁴⁰เหตุฉะนั้น เมื่อเจ้าของสวนมา เขาจะทำอะไรแก่คนเช่าสวนเหล่านั้น"

⁴⁰ When therefore the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”

⁴¹เขาทั้งหลายทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "เขาจะล้างผลาญคนชั่วเหล่านั้นด้วยโทษร้ายแรง และจะให้สวนนั้นแก่คนเช่าอื่นที่จะแบ่งผลให้โดยถูกต้องตามฤดูกาลต่อไป"

⁴¹They told him, “He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will lease out the vineyard to other farmers, who will give him the fruit in its season.”

⁴²พระเยซูตรัสกับเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายยังไม่ได้อ่านในพระคัมภีร์หรือซึ่งว่า `ศิลาซึ่งช่างก่อได้ปฏิเสธเสีย ได้กลับกลายเป็นศิลามุมเอกแล้ว การนี้เป็นมาจากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า เป็นการมหัศจรรย์ประจักษ์แก่ตาเรา'

⁴²Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes?’ Psalm 118:22-23

⁴³เหตุฉะนั้นเราบอกท่านว่า อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าจะต้องเอาไปจากท่าน ยกให้แก่ชนชาติหนึ่งซึ่งจะกระทำให้ผลเจริญสมกับอาณาจักรนั้น

⁴³ “Therefore I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you, and will be given to a nation bringing forth its fruit.

⁴⁴ผู้ใดล้มทับศิลานี้ ผู้นั้นจะต้องแตกหักไป แต่ศิลานี้จะตกทับผู้ใด ผู้นั้นจะแหลกละเอียดไป"

⁴⁴ He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it will fall, it will scatter him as dust.”

⁴⁵ครั้นพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่กับพวกฟาริสีได้ยินคำอุปมาของพระองค์ พวกเขาก็หยั่งรู้ว่าพระองค์ตรัสเล็งถึงพวกเขา

⁴⁵When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke about them.

⁴⁶แต่เมื่อพวกเขาอยากจะจับพระองค์ เขาก็กลัวประชาชน เพราะประชาชนนับถือพระองค์ว่าเป็นศาสดาพยากรณ์

⁴⁶When they sought to seize him, they feared the multitudes, because they considered him to be a prophet.
