¹If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.

²Ane rapa' -na mporata-ta pakulea' mpohowa' lolita Alata'ala pai' -ta mporata hawe'ea pe'inca ngkai Alata'ala duu' -na ta'inca hawe'ea to uma ra'incai doo; pai' ane moroho pepangala' -ta duu' -na ma'ala-ta mpopentoli bulu'; tapi' ane uma ria ahi' -ta hi doo, uma ntoto ria tuju-na tuwu' -ta.

²And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

³Ane hawe'ea rewa-ta tawai' -raka tokabu, pai' ane ta'agi mate ratunu sabana petuku' -ta hi Pue' Yesus, tapi' ane uma ria ahi' -ta hi doo, uma ria kalaua-na tuwu' -ta.

³And if I shall dole out all my goods in food, and if I deliver up my body that I may be burned, but have not love, I profit nothing.

⁴To ra'uli' mpoka'ahi' doo-le, mosabara pai' lompe' nono, uma mohingi', uma mpope'une', uma molangko nono.

⁴Love has long patience, is kind; love is not emulous [of others]; love is not insolent and rash, is not puffed up,

⁵Uma mokasara hi doo, uma-ta ntora mpopali' konoa-ta moto, uma jolia morani' nono, uma mowuku nono.

⁵does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil,

⁶Ane ma'ahi' -ta hi doo, batua-na, uma-ta goe' ane masala' -i, goe' -ta ane monoa' -i.

⁶does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth,

⁷Ane ma'ahi' -ta hi doo, batua-na, tapengkatarii butu nyala kehi-na to uma tapokonoi, taparasaya oa' kehi to lompe' ngkai doo, tasarumaka kalompe' -na mpai' kehi-na, pai' mosabara oa' -ta nau' ba napa-napa anu merata.

⁷bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

⁸Ahi' uma ria kahudua-na. Tapi' ane ria pakulea' -ta mpohowa' lolita Alata'ala, bate rata mpai' tempo-na pakulea' -ta toe uma-pi ria. Ane ria pakulea' -ta mololita hante basa to ngkai Inoha' Tomoroli', rata mpai' tempo-na pakulea' -ta toe mento'o-mi. Ane mporata-ta pe'inca to ngkai Alata'ala, rata mpai' tempo-na pe'inca-ta toe uma-pi raparaluu.

⁸Love never fails; but whether prophecies, they shall be done away; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall be done away.

⁹Apa' tempo toi, pe'inca to tarata ngkai Alata'ala, ria kotoa-na. Pai' pakulea' -ta mpohowa' lolita Alata'ala uma wo'o hono'.

⁹For we know in part, and we prophesy in part:

¹⁰Aga ane rata-damo mpai' tempo-na Alata'ala mpakahono' hawe'ea-na, uma-pi taparaluu pakulea' to uma hono' toe we'i lau.

¹⁰but when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part shall be done away.

¹¹Rapa' -na bula-ku kedi' -pidi, mololita-a hewa ana' to kedi', nono-ku hewa ana' kedi', pekiri-ku hewa ana' kedi'. Tapi' tempo toi, kama-ama, kehi ka'anaa' -ku kubahaka-mi. Wae wo'o, pakulea' to tarata ngkai Inoha' Tomoroli' uma tida duu' kahae-hae-na.

¹¹When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I reasoned as a child; when I became a man, I had done with what belonged to the child.

Mpeno-damo pai' lako' tapaha hawe'ea-na, apa' tahilo-i Alata'ala wingke-ngkawingke. Tempo toi, ko'ia hono' pe'inca-ku. Mpeno-damo pai' lako' ku'inca mpu'u, hewa Alata'ala wo'o mpo'inca-a.

¹²For we see now through a dim window obscurely, but then face to face; now I know partially, but then I shall know according as I also have been known.

¹³Jadi', tempo toi, to tolu nyala toi kana tababehi: mepangala' hi Alata'ala, ncarumaka janci-na Alata'ala, pai' mpoka'ahi' doo. Aga ngkai to tolu nyala toe, to meliu mpu'u: mpoka'ahi' doo.

¹³And now abide faith, hope, love; these three things; and the greater of these [is] love.
