Ephesians

5

1Jadi', lawi' napo'ana' Alata'ala-tamo pai' nape'ahi' -tamoe, toe pai' kana tatuku' kehi Alata'ala.
1Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children,
2Hi po'ingku-ta eo-eo-na, kana ma'ahi' -ta hi doo, hewa Kristus wo'o mpoka'ahi' -ta; napewai' woto-na rapatehi bona mpotolo' -ta. Pobabehi-na toe mpakagoe' nono Alata'ala, hewa pepue' to mohonga to ratonu hi Hi'a.
2and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
3Aga neo' mpu'u ria to mobualo' ba to mpobabehi gau' -gau' to babo' ntani' -na ba to mpokahina anu doo. Gau' to hewa toe uma natao hi kita' to napobagia Alata'ala. Agina to hewa toe neo' rapotompo'wiwi hi laintongo' -ta.
3But fornication and all uncleanness or unbridled lust, let it not be even named among you, as it becomes saints;
4Uma wo'o natao ane metarahu-ta ba mpohowa' lolita to uma ria tuju-na ba mpo'uli' ore' -ore' to uma natao ra'epe hi tilinga doo. Agina tapake' wiwi-ta mpo'uli' tarima kasi hi Alata'ala.
4and filthiness and foolish talking, or jesting, which are not convenient; but rather thanksgiving.
5Apa' bona ni'inca: hema-hema to mobualo' ba to mpobabehi gau' to babo' ntani' -na ba to mpokahina anu doo, uma ria bagia-ra hi rala Kamagaua' Kristus pai' Alata'ala. Tauna to mogau' hewa toe, ma'ala-mi ta'uli' mepue' -ra hi napa to rapokahina toe.
5For this ye are [well] informed of, knowing that no fornicator, or unclean person, or person of unbridled lust, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
6Jadi', neo' -ta ma'ala rabagiu hante lolita tauna to doko' mpohinai-ta mpobabehi gau' to hewa toe. Bate uma makono lolita-ra toe. Apa' ngkai gau' -gau' to hewa toe, Alata'ala mpokaroe tauna to uma mengkoru hi Hi'a.
6Let no one deceive you with vain words, for on account of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
7Jadi', neo' tadohei-ra hi rala pogau' -ra tohe'e.
7Be not ye therefore fellow-partakers with them;
8Apa' owi, mobengi-pidi nono-ni, aga wae lau mobaja-mokoi ngkai posidaia' -ni hante Pue'. Jadi', mo'ingku-mokoi hewa tauna to mobaja-mi nono-ra.
8for ye were once darkness, but now light in [the] Lord; walk as children of light,
10Petonoi napa kehi to masipato' hi poncilo Pue'. Apa' ngkai kamobaja nono-ni toe mehupa' hawe'ea kehi to lompe', to monoa' pai' to monoto.
9(for the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth,)
11Jadi', neo' tapenau' gau' -ra to hi rala kabengia-na-pidi, apa' uma ria gau' to lompe' to mehupa' ngkai kabengia-na. Agina tapolonto' lau-mi kadada'a-na gau' -ra toe.
10proving what is agreeable to the Lord;
12Apa' gau' -gau' to rababehi ngkawuni toe, nau' ralolita-wadi me'eai' lia.
11and do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather also reprove [them],
13Aga ane tauna to dada'a mpohilo po'ingku-ni to lompe', lonto' lau-mi kadada'a po'ingku-ra hira' toe, alaa-na rabahakai-mi gau' -ra to mobengi, pai' jadi' mobaja wo'o-ramo-rawo.
12for the things that are done by them in secret it is shameful even to say.
14Toe pai' ria rona' to mpo'uli': Molike-mokoi toleta', Memata-mokoi ngkai kamatea-ni, Pai' Kristus mpobajahi nono-ni."
13But all things having their true character exposed by the light are made manifest; for that which makes everything manifest is light.
15Toe pai' kana tapelompehi po'ingku-ta: neo' hewa tauna to wojo, agina mo'ingku-ta hewa tauna to monoto nono-ra.
14Wherefore he says, Wake up, [thou] that sleepest, and arise up from among the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.
16Kana tapake' lompe' loga to ria hi kita', apa' tempo toi-e dada'a lia kehi manusia'.
15See therefore how ye walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise,
17Toe pai' neo' kabua' -bua' -na kehi-ta, pekiri lompe' napa kehi to napokono Pue'.
16redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
18Neo' malangu, apa' toe-hana mpopehuwu kahinaa to dada'a. Kana nakuasai Inoha' Tomoroli' -tamo. Ngkai kuasa Inoha' Tomoroli' toe,
17For this reason be not foolish, but understanding what [is] the will of the Lord.
19momerohoi ngkanono-ta hante mpoporona' mazmur, rona' pe'une' pai' rona' ntani' -na to nawai' -taka Inoha' Tomoroli'; morona' goe' -goe' -ta mpo'une' Pue' hante nono-ta mpu'u;
18And be not drunk with wine, in which is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,
20mpo'uli' tarima kasi oa' hi Alata'ala to Tuama hante hanga' Yesus Kristus Pue' -ta ngkai butu nyala-na to nawai' -taka;
19speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and chanting with your heart to the Lord;
21pai' momepengkorui hadua bo hadua hewa pebila' -ta hi Kristus.
20giving thanks at all times for all things to him [who is] God and [the] Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
22Tobine-tobine, kana mengkoru-koi hi tomane-ni, hewa pengkoru-ni hi Pue'.
21submitting yourselves to one another in [the] fear of Christ.
Pai' Hi'a-mi Magau' Tompohore-ta ngkai huku' jeko' -ta.
22Wives, [submit yourselves] to your own husbands, as to the Lord,
24Jadi', hewa kita' omea mengkoru hi Kristus, wae wo'o-hawo tobine kana mengkoru hi tomane-na hi butu nyala-na.
23for a husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ [is] head of the assembly. *He* [is] Saviour of the body.
25Pai' koi' -koiwo tomane, kana nipoka'ahi' tobine-ni, hewa Kristus mpoka'ahi' -ta to mpopangala' -i, duu' -na napewai' woto-na rapatehi bona mpotolo' -ta.
24But even as the assembly is subjected to the Christ, so also wives to their own husbands in everything.
26Hante pobabehi-na toe napatani' -ta jadi' bagia-na moto, nabohoi' -ta ngkai jeko' hante ue peniu' pai' hante lolita-na,
25Husbands, love your own wives, even as the Christ also loved the assembly, and has delivered himself up for it,
27bona kita' to jadi' bagia-na toe jadi' moroli' pai' ncola, hante uma ria kasalaia' ba rugea' -na, bona natao-ta nakaratai.
26in order that he might sanctify it, purifying [it] by the washing of water by [the] word,
28Jadi', hewa ahi' -na Kristus hi kita' toe, wae wo'o-hawo tomane kana mpoka'ahi' tobine-na, hewa pompoka'ahi' -na woto-na moto. Hema to mpoka'ahi' tobine-na, hewa mpoka'ahi' woto-na moto-imi.
27that *he* might present the assembly to himself glorious, having no spot, or wrinkle, or any of such things; but that it might be holy and blameless.
29Uma-hawo ria tauna to mpokahuku' woto-na moto. Bate najaga pai' napewili'. Wae wo'o Kristus mpewili' tauna to mpopangala' -i.
28So ought men also to love their own wives as their own bodies: he that loves his own wife loves himself.
30Napewili' -ta apa' kita' to mpopangala' -i, jadi' bagia ngkai Woto-natamo.
29For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as also the Christ the assembly:
31Hi rala Buku Tomoroli' te'uki' hewa toi: "Toe-mi pai' hadua tomane mpalahii tina tuama-na, pai' tuwu' hintuwu' hante tobine-na, bona hira' tau rodua toe jadi' hewa hadua lau-ra-damo."
30for we are members of his body; [we are of his flesh, and of his bones.]
32Lolita toi, walatu to monala batua-na. Aga patuju-ku hi rehe'i, mpotompo'wiwi-a posidaia' Kristus hante kita' ntodea-na.
31Because of this a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be united to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.
33Aga nau' wae, bate ria wo'o kalaua-na hi kita' omea: butu dua tomane kana mpoka'ahi' tobine-na hewa pompoka'ahi' -na woto-na moto, pai' tobine wo'o-hawo kana mpobila' tomane-na.
32This mystery is great, but *I* speak as to Christ, and as to the assembly.
33But *ye* also, every one of you, let each so love his own wife as himself; but as to the wife [I speak] that she may fear the husband.
