22

1Mololita tena-i Yesus hi pangkeni agama Yahudi toera, mpo'uli' -raka hanyala-pi lolita rapa'. Na'uli':
1Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,
2"Alata'ala hewa magau' to hi rala jarita toi: Hadua magau' mpobabehi karamea hi poncamokoa ana' -na.
2 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
3Mohawa' -i hi pahawaa' -na hilou mpokio' tauna to rahinta' hewa toi: `Hilou-tamo ngkoni' hi posusaa' poncamokoa!' Aga hawe'ea to rakio' toera, uma-ra dota hilou.
3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.
4Toe pai' nahubui tena pahawaa' -na to ntani' -na, na'uli' -raka: `Uli' -raka to rahinta': pongkoni' taha' -mi, japi hante porewua to morudu' ntani' -na rasumale' -mi, rodo-mi omea. Kita-mi hilou hi posusaa' poncamokoa!'
4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!”’
5Aga hawe'ea to rakio' toera uma mposaile' pekio' toe. Hore-hore hilou hi pobagoa-ra moto-ra. Ria-ra to hilou hi bonea-ra, ria-ra to hilou hi bago-ra ntani' -na.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,
6To ntani' -na wo'o-ra mpohoko' pahawaa' magau' toe, rapao' pai' rapatehi.
6 and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
7Kana'epe-na magau' napa to jadi' tohe'e, moroe lia-imi. Nahubui tantara-na hilou mpatehi topepatehi toera, pai' mposuwe ngata-ra.
7 When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
8"Oti toe, nakio' wo'o-ramo pahawaa' -na, na'uli' -raka: `Susa' poncamokoa rodo-mi, aga tauna to kukio', uma-ra natao mpokaralai.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy.
9Wae-pi, hilou-mokoi hi ohea kama, hema-hema to nirua', bawai-ramo tumai mpokaralai susa' poncamokoa.'
9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’
10Kahilou-rami-rawo pahawaa' toera hi ohea mporumpu hawe'ea tauna to liu, uma mpenara' ba to lompe' gau' -ra ba to dada'a. Ka'omea-na ihia' mpu'u-mi tomi posusaa' hante torata.
10 Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.
11"Mesua' -imi magau' toei mpokamata torata. Nahilo-hawo hi olo' torata, ria hadua to uma moheai pohea posusa'.
11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing,
12Na'uli' magau': `Bale, napa-kona pai' tumai-ko hi posusaa' uma-ko moheai pohea posusa' -e?' Uma-i-hawo winihi.
12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless.
13Ngkai ree, mohawa' -imi magau' mpo'uli' -raka pahawaa' -na: `Hilu' witi' -na, hoo' pale-na, petadi-i hi mali-na rala kabengia-na! Hi ria-i mpai' geo' pai' ntodohaka.'"
13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’
14Napohudu Yesus lolita rapa' -na hewa toi: "Wori' tauna to nakio' Alata'ala, aga hangkedi' -ra-wadi to napelihi jadi' ntodea-na."
14 For many are called, but few chosen.”
15Ngkai ree, malai-ramo to Parisi ngkai Tomi Alata'ala. Mohawa' -ra mpali' akala beiwa-ra ma'ala mpo'opa kahala' lolita-na Yesus mpotompoi' pompekunea' -ra.
15Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.
16Rarata-mi akala-ra: mpahawa' -ra ba hangkuja dua topetuku' -ra hante ba hangkuja dua tauna to tono' hi Magau' Herodes hilou hi Yesus. Ra'uli' mpo'uli' -ki: "Guru, ki'inca Guru tau manoa'. Monoa' lia tudui' -nu mpo'uli' napa konoa Alata'ala hi manusia'. Uma nupengkorui ba hema-hema, apa' uma-ko mpelence tauna.
16They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach, for you aren’t partial to anyone.
17Toe pai' kiperapi' bona nu'uli' -kakai, beiwa pomporata-nu Guru: ntuku' atura agama-ta, ba ma'ala moto-ta mpobayari paja' hi Kaisar, ba uma-di?"
17Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?”
18Na'inca Yesus patuju nono-ra to dada'a toe, toe pai' na'uli' -raka: "Hilo mpu'u-koie' topebagiu! Napa pai' doko' ni'opa kahala' lolita-ku!
18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
19Popehuwu-ka pe' doi to biasa nibayari-ki paja' -e." Ratonu-miki hampepa' doi pera'.
19 Show me the tax money.” They brought to him a denarius.
20Na'uli' Yesus: "Lence hema pai' hanga' hema to hi doi toi?"
20He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”
21Ratompoi': "Lence pai' hanga' Kaisar." Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane wae-di, wai' -ki Kaisar napa to kasipato' -na rawai' -ki Kaisar, pai' wai' -ki Alata'ala napa to kasipato' -na rawai' -ki Alata'ala."
21They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
22Kara'epe-na petompoi' Yesus tohe'e, rapokakonce. Kamalai-rami mpalahii Yesus.
22When they heard it, they marveled, and left him, and went away.
23Hi eo toe wo'o, ba hangkuja dua to Saduki rata hi Yesus. To Saduki toera, pangkeni agama Yahudi to mposapuaka tauna to mate tuwu' nculii' hi eo mpeno.
23On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,
24Rata to Saduki toera mpo'uli' -ki Yesus: "Guru, nabi Musa metudui' hewa toi: Ane hadua tomane mate, hiaa' uma-ki ria ana' -na, pudupuhe-na kana mpotobine balu-na, bona ria-ki-hawo muli-na tomate toei.
24saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.’
25Jadi', ria pitu to ntali ompi' paka' tomane. To ulumua' motobinei, mate-i uma ria ana' -na. Balu-na napotobine tu'ai-na.
25Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother.
26Ko'ia wo'o rapoka'alai mo'anai', mate wo'o-imi-hawo to tu'ai toei. Wae oa' -mi majadi' hi katolu-na duu' -na hi kapitu-na.
26In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
27Ka'omea-na, mate wo'o-imi-hawo tobine toei.
27After them all, the woman died.
28Jadi' hi eo mpeno-na, ane tuwu' nculii' mpu'u-di hawe'ea tomate-e, hema-ramo mpai' pue' tobine toei? Apa' hawe'ea-ra mpotobine-imi."
28In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her.”
29Na'uli' Yesus: "Sala' rahi pekiri-ni tetu, apa' uma nipaha ihi' Buku Tomoroli', uma wo'o ni'incai baraka' -na Alata'ala.
29But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
30Apa' ane tuwu' nculii' -ramo tauna to mate, katuwu' -ra hewa katuwu' mala'eka hi rala suruga, uma-rapa motobinei ba motomanei.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven.
31Ha ko'ia ria nibasa lolita Buku Tomoroli' to mpakanoto katuwu' -ra nculii' tomate-e? Ria Lolita Alata'ala owi to mpo'uli' -kokoi hewa toi:
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
32`Aku' toi-mi Alata'ala to napue' Abraham, Alata'ala to napue' Ishak, Alata'ala to napue' Yakub.' Batua-na, nau' mahae-ramo mate Abraham, Ishak pai' Yakub, bate tuwu' moto-ra. Apa' bela tauna to mate to mepue' hi Alata'ala, tauna to tuwu' -hana to mpopue' -i."
32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’ God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
33Kara'epe-na ntodea tudui' -na Yesus toe, rapokakonce.
33When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
34To Saduki uma-pi tepehono', apa' nadagi-ramo Yesus. Kara'epe-na to Parisi toe, moromu wo'o-ramo-rawo mpopali' akala-ra mpo'akalai Yesus.
34But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
35Hadua ngkai laintongo' -ra, hadua guru agama, mperao mpo'opa petompoi' Yesus hante pompekunea' -na, na'uli':
35One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.
36"Guru, ngkai hawe'ea parenta hi rala Atura Pue', parenta to'uma to meliu kabohe-na?"
36“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?”
37Na'uli' Yesus: `Kana tapoka'ahi' Pue' -ta Pue' Alata'ala hante nono-ta mpu'u, tatonu hawe'ea katuwu' -ta hi Hi'a, pai' tapoka'ahi' -i hudu inca-ta.'
37Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38Toe-mi parenta to meliu kabohe-na, pai' to lomo' -na mpu'u.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39Pai' parenta karonyala-na to hibalia hante to lomo' -na toe: `Kana tapoka'ahi' doo-ta hewa pompoka'ahi' -ta woto-ta moto.'
39 A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
40Hawe'ea Atura Pue' pai' tudui' nabi-nabi mentoe hi parenta to ronyala toe."
40 The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”
41Bula-ra to Parisi ria-pidi morumpu hi retu, Yesus mpekune' -ra:
41Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
42"Beiwa pomporata-ni, hema-i Magau' Topetolo' to najanci Alata'ala-e? Muli hema-i?" Ratompoi': "Muli Magau' Daud."
42saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.”
43Na'uli' Yesus: "Ane wae-di, napa pai' Daud mpokahangai' -i Pue' -na? Hante petete' Inoha' Tomoroli', Daud mpotompo'wiwi Magau' Topetolo' hewa toi:
43He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
44Pue' Ala mpo'uli' -ki Pue' -ku: `Mohura-moko hi mali ngka'ana-ku, duu' -na kupopengkoru hawe'ea bali' -nu hi Iko.'
44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?’
45Jadi', ane muli Daud mpu'u-idi Magau' Topetolo' -e, napa pai' Daud mpokahangai' -i Pue' -na?"
45 “If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?”
46Uma ria haduaa to mpotompoi' -i. Ntepu'u ngkai eo toe, uma-pi hema to daho' mpekune' ba napa-napa hi Yesus.
46No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forth.
