1“Cry aloud, don’t spare, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.
1禁食的真正意义
2Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways: as a nation that did righteousness, and didn’t forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.
2他们天天寻求我，乐意明白我的道路，好像行义的国民，不离弃他们 神的公理；他们向我求问公义的判语，又喜欢亲近 神。
3‘Why have we fasted,’ say they, ‘and you don’t see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and you take no knowledge?’ “Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and exact all your labors.
3他们说：“为什么我们禁食，你不看呢？为什么我们刻苦己身，你不理会呢？”看哪！你们在禁食的日子，仍然追求自己喜欢作的事，欺压为你们作工的人。
4Behold, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wickedness: you don’t fast this day so as to make your voice to be heard on high.
4看哪！你们禁食，结果是吵闹和打架，用凶恶的拳头打人；你们不要像今天这样的禁食，使你们的声音可以听闻于天上。
5Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a rush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Yahweh?
5使人刻苦自己的日子，这样的禁食是我拣选的吗？难道只是叫人垂头像一根苇子，用麻布和炉灰铺在下面吗？你可以称这是禁食，为耶和华所悦纳的日子吗？
6“Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
6我所拣选的禁食不是这样吗？不是要松开凶恶的锁链，解开轭上的绳索，使被压迫的获得自由，折断所有的轭吗？
7Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?
7不是要把你的食物分给饥饿的人，把流浪的穷困人接到你的家里，见到赤身露体的，给他衣服蔽体，不可逃避自己的骨肉而不顾恤吗？
8Then your light shall break forth as the morning, and your healing shall spring forth speedily; and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Yahweh shall be your rear guard.
8这样，你的光就必突然发出，像黎明的曙光，你的伤口就必快快复原；你的公义就必行在你的前面，耶和华的荣耀要作你的后盾。
9Then you shall call, and Yahweh will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedly;
9那时，你求告，耶和华必应允；你呼求，他必说：“我在这里！”你若从你中间除掉欺压人的轭，除去指责人的指头和恶毒的言语，
10and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then your light shall rise in darkness, and your obscurity be as the noonday;
10你的心若顾念饥饿的人，使困苦的人得到饱足，你的光就必在黑暗中升起来，你的幽暗必如日中天。
11and Yahweh will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make strong your bones; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters don’t fail.
11耶和华必常常引导你，在干旱之地使你的心灵饱足，使你的骨头坚强有力；你必像有水源浇灌的园子，又像水流不绝的泉源。
12Those who shall be of you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
12你的子孙必重建久已荒废之处，你必重建历代拆毁了的根基；你要称为修补破口的人，重修路径给人居住的人。
13“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable; and shall honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words:
13守安息日的福乐“因安息日的缘故，你若转离你的脚步；在我的圣日不作你喜欢作的；你若称安息日为可喜乐的，称耶和华的圣日为可尊重的；你若尊重这日，不作自己的事，不寻求自己所喜悦的，或不说无谓的话，
14then you shall delight yourself in Yahweh; and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth; and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father:” for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it.
14你就必以耶和华为乐，我要使你乘驾地的高处，用你祖雅各的产业喂养你。”这是耶和华亲口说的。
