1The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
1耶利米的蒙召
2to whom the word of Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
2犹大王亚们的儿子约西亚作王第十三年，耶和华的话临到耶利米。
3It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, to the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.
3从犹大王约西亚的儿子约雅敬年间，直到犹大王约西亚的儿子西底家末年，就是第十一年五月，耶路撒冷人被掳的时候，耶和华的话也常临到耶利米。
4Now the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
4耶和华的话临到我，说：
5“Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
5“我使你在母腹中成形以先，就认识你；你还未出母胎，我已把你分别为圣，立你作列国的先知。”
6Then I said, “Ah, Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” Yahweh! Behold, I don’t know how to speak; for I am a child.”
6我就说：“主耶和华啊！我不晓得说话，因为我年轻。”
7But Yahweh said to me, “Don’t say, ‘I am a child;’ for to whoever I shall send you, you shall go, and whatever I shall command you, you shall speak.
7耶和华对我说：“你不要说：‘我年轻’，因为无论我差你到谁那里，你都要去；无论我吩咐你说什么，你都要说。
8Don’t be afraid because of them; for I am with you to deliver you,” says Yahweh.
8你不要怕他们，因为我与你同在，要拯救你。”这是耶和华的宣告。
9Then Yahweh put forth his hand, and touched my mouth; and Yahweh said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
9于是耶和华伸手按着我的口，对我说：“看哪！我把我的话放在你口中。
10Behold, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
10今日我立你在列邦列国之上，为要拔出、拆毁、毁灭、倾覆，又要建立和栽植。”
11Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”
11两个异象耶和华的话又临到我，说：“耶利米，你看见什么？”我说：“我看见一根杏树枝子。”
12Then Yahweh said to me, “You have seen well; for I watch over my word to perform it.”
12耶和华对我说：“你看得不错，因为我要留意使我的话成就。”
13The word of Yahweh came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” I said, “I see a boiling caldron; and it is tipping away from the north.”
13耶和华的话再次临到我，说：“你看见什么？”我说：“我看见一个沸腾的锅，锅口从北面向南倾侧。”
14Then Yahweh said to me, “Out of the north evil will break out on all the inhabitants of the land.
14耶和华对我说：“必有灾祸从北方发出，临到这地所有的居民。
15For, behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says Yahweh; “and they shall come, and they shall each set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.
15看哪！我要呼召北方列国的众族，他们要来，各人在耶路撒冷的城门口，设立自己的座位，攻击耶路撒冷周围的城墙，又攻击犹大各城镇。”这是耶和华的宣告。
16I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.
16“为了他们的一切恶事，就是离弃我，向别神烧香，叩拜自己手所做的，我要宣判他们的罪。
17“You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and speak to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.
17耶和华安慰且鼓励耶利米“因此，你要束腰，你要起来，把我吩咐你的一切话，都告诉他们。不要因他们惊惶，不然我就使你在他们面前惊惶。
18For, behold, I have made you this day a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.
18看哪！今日我使你成为坚城、铁柱、铜墙，抵挡全地，就是抵挡犹大的君王、首领、祭司和这地的众民。
19They will fight against you; but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you,” says Yahweh, “to deliver you.”
19他们必攻击你，却不能胜过你，因为我与你同在，要拯救你。”这是耶和华的宣告。
