1Then David said, “This is the house of Yahweh God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
1پس داود گفت: «اینجا عبادتگاه خداوند، خدای ما و قربانگاه قربانی سوختنی برای مردم اسرائیل باشد.»
2David gave orders to gather together the foreigners who were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to cut worked stones to build God’s house.
2داود تمام ساکنان غیر یهودی اسرائیل را برای بنای عبادتگاه خداوند به کار گرفت. از بین آن ها افرادی را برای تراشیدن سنگ انتخاب کرد.
3David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the gates, and for the couplings; and brass in abundance without weight;
3و هم یک مقدار زیاد آهن مهیا نمود تا از آن میخ و چپراس برای دروازه ها بسازند. او همچنین یک اندازه برنج مورد ضرورت را که وزن آن از حد زیاد بود، تهیه کرد.
4and cedar trees without number: for the Sidonians and they of Tyre brought cedar trees in abundance to David.
4مردم صور و سِیدون تعداد بیشمار چهار تراش از چوب سرو برای داود آوردند.
5David said, “Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Yahweh must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it.” So David prepared abundantly before his death.
5داود گفت: «چون پسرم سلیمان، جوان و بی تجربه است و خانه ای که برای خداوند آباد شود، باید بزرگ، مجلل و زیباتر از همه بناهای روی زمین باشد، لهذا از حالا برای ساختمان آن آمادگی می گیرم.» پس داود پیش از وفاتش، مواد ساختمانی زیادی را فراهم ساخت.
6Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.
6بعد داود پسر خود، سلیمان را مأمور کرد که عبادتگاهی برای خداوند، خدای اسرائیل بسازد
7David said to Solomon his son, “As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of Yahweh my God.
7و به او گفت: «فرزندم، من آرزو داشتم که عبادتگاهی برای خداوند، خدای خود بنا کنم،
8But the word of Yahweh came to me, saying, ‘You have shed blood abundantly, and have made great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in my sight.
8اما خداوند به من فرمود: «چون تو خون مردمان زیادی را ریختی، جنگ های بسیاری کردی و زمین را با خون کشته شدگان رنگین ساختی، بنابران، اجازه نمی دهم که تو عبادتگاهی برایم آباد کنی.
9Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies all around; for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.
9من به تو پسری عطا می کنم. او یک شخص صلحجو خواهد بود و با کمک من در بین دشمنان اطراف خود با صلح و آرامش بسر خواهد بُرد. نام او سلیمان بوده در دوران سلطنت او مردم اسرائیل از امنیت و آرامی برخوردار خواهند شد.
10He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.’
10او همان کسی است که خانه ای بنام من خواهد ساخت. او پسر من خواهد بود و من پدر او خواهم شد و تخت سلطنت او را برای همیشه بر اسرائیل برقرار می کنم.»
11Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.
11پس فرزند من، خداوند همراهت باشد تا همانطوریکه خودش از تو خواسته است، بتوانی در آبادی عبادتگاه برای خداوند، خدای خود موفق شوی.
12May Yahweh give you discretion and understanding, and put you in charge of Israel; that so you may keep the law of Yahweh your God.
12و دعا می کنم که خداوند به تو فهم و حکمت عطا کند که وقتی ترا به مقام سلطنت قلمرو اسرائیل می رساند از احکام و شریعت خداوند، خدای خود پیروی کنی.
13Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong, and courageous. Don’t be afraid, neither be dismayed.
13اگر آن فرایض و احکامی را که خداوند توسط موسی به قوم اسرائیل داد بجا آوری، آن وقت کامگار و سعادتمند می شوی. پس قوی و دلیر باش. ترس را بدلت راه مده و کمدلی مکن.
14Now, behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of Yahweh one hundred thousand talents of gold, one million talents of silver, and brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance. I have also prepared timber and stone; and you may add to them.
14من با زحمت فراوان سه هزار و چهار صد تُن طلا، سی و چهار هزار تُن نقره و همچنان برنج و آهن به اندازه ای مهیا کرده ام که وزن کرده نتوانستم. برعلاوه، چوب و سنگ هم به مقدار کافی موجود است و تو هم می توانی به مقدار آن اضافه کنی.
15There are also workmen with you in abundance, cutters and workers of stone and timber, and all kinds of men who are skillful in every kind of work:
15کارگران فراوان، از قبیل سنگتراش، معمار و نجار و هر نوع صنعتگران ماهر در کار طلا، نقره، برنج و آهن در دسترس داری. حالا برو و دست به کار شو! خداوند همراهت باشد.»
16of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise and be doing, and may Yahweh be with you.”
16داود به تمام رهبران اسرائیل امر کرد که به سلیمان کمک کنند.
17David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
17به آن ها گفت: «خداوند، خدای تان همیشه با شما بوده است. او شما را از دست دشمنان اطراف تان نجات داد و به شما صلح و آرامش بخشید. دشمنان را توسط من شکست داد و همۀ آن ها تابع خداوند و قوم او شده اند.حالا موقع آن است که از جان و دل در طلب خداوند، خدای تان باشید. پس برخاسته عبادتگاه و خانۀ مقدس او را بنا کنید تا صندوق پیمان خداوند و ظروف و اشیای مقدس را در عبادتگاهی که بنام خداوند آباد می کنید، بیاورید.»
18“Isn’t Yahweh your God with you? Hasn’t he given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh, and before his people.
18حالا موقع آن است که از جان و دل در طلب خداوند، خدای تان باشید. پس برخاسته عبادتگاه و خانۀ مقدس او را بنا کنید تا صندوق پیمان خداوند و ظروف و اشیای مقدس را در عبادتگاهی که بنام خداوند آباد می کنید، بیاورید.»
19Now set your heart and your soul to seek after Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Yahweh.”
