1Now when all this was finished, all Israel who were present went out to the cities of Judah, and broke in pieces the pillars, and cut down the Asherim, and broke down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.
1بعد از آنکه مراسم بپایان رسید، تمام مردم اسرائیل که در آنجا حضور داشتند به همه شهرهای یَهُودا رفتند و بتها را شکستند. بت اَشیره را از بین بردند و معابد بالای تپه ها و قربانگاههائی را که در یَهُودا، بنیامین، افرایم و مَنَسّی بودند، همه را ویران کردند. بعد همگی به خانه های خود برگشتند.
2Hezekiah appointed the divisions of the priests and the Levites after their divisions, every man according to his service, both the priests and the Levites, for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the camp of Yahweh.
2حزقیا لاویان را به دسته های مختلف تقسیم کرد تا هر دسته وظیفۀ خاصی را اجراء کند: از قبیل تقدیم قربانی های سوختنی و سلامتی، اشتراک در مراسم عبادت، پاسبانی از دروازه های عبادتگاه و ادای شکرانگی و ذکر حمد و سپاس خداوند.
3He appointed also the king’s portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of Yahweh.
3پادشاه یک حصه از دارائی شخصی خود را جهت قربانی های سوختنی تعیین کرد تا هر صبح و شام، در ماه نو و عید ها مطابق شریعت موسی تقدیم شوند.
4Moreover he commanded the people who lived in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might give themselves to the law of Yahweh.
4او همچنین به مردم اورشلیم امر کرد که مایحتیاج کاهنان و لاویان را فراهم سازند تا آن ها همه وقت خود را وقف خدمت خداوند کنند.
5As soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel gave in abundance the first fruits of grain, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.
5بمجردیکه فرمان شاه صادر شد، مردم اسرائیل، برعلاوۀ ده فیصد دارائی خود، محصول نو گندم، شراب، روغن، عسل و دیگر محصولات زمین خود را هم فراوان آوردند.
6The children of Israel and Judah, who lived in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep, and the tithe of dedicated things which were consecrated to Yahweh their God, and laid them by heaps.
6همچنان مردم اسرائیل و یَهُودا که در شهرهای مختلف یهودا زندگی می کردند، ده فیصد رمه و گوسفند و هر چیز دیگری را که وقف خداوند کرده بودند، دادند.
7In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.
7در ماه سوم آن سال به آوردن هدایا شروع کردند و در ماه هفتم تمام شد و اندازۀ آن آنقدر زیاد بود که پشته ها را تشکیل داد.
8When Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed Yahweh, and his people Israel.
8وقتی حزقیا و مأمورین آمدند و آن توده ها را دیدند، خداوند را ستایش کردند و قوم برگزیدۀ او، اسرائیل را برکت دادند.
9Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.
9حزقیا از کاهنان و لاویان در بارۀ آن توده ها سوال کرد.
10Azariah the chief priest, of the house of Zadok, answered him and said, “Since people began to bring the offerings into the house of Yahweh, we have eaten and had enough, and have left plenty: for Yahweh has blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.”
10عَزریا، رئیس کاهنان که از خانوادۀ صادوق بود، جواب داد: «از روزیکه قوم به آوردن هدیه های خود به عبادتگاه خداوند شروع کردند، بقدر کافی از آن خوردیم و این مقدار زیاد باقیمانده را که می بینی بخاطر آن است که خداوند به قوم برگزیدۀ خود برکت داده است.»
11Then Hezekiah commanded them to prepare rooms in the house of Yahweh; and they prepared them.
11بعد پادشاه امر کرد که چند تحویلخانه در عبادتگاه خداوند بسازند و امر او اجراء شد.
12They brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: and over them Conaniah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was second.
12مردم با کمال خوشی هدیه و عُشریه دادند و برعلاوه، چیزهای دیگری هم وقف کردند. کُونَنیای لاوی آمر مسئول تحویلخانه ها بود و برادرش، شِمعی شخص دوم،
13Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Conaniah and Shimei his brother, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of God’s house.
13و یحیئیل، عَزَریا، نَحَت، عَسائیل، یَریموت، یُوزاباد، اِیلیئیل، یِسمَخیا، مَحَت و بنایا معاونین کُونَنیا و برادرش بودند که از طرف حزقیا و عَزَریا، رئیس عبادتگاه خداوند مقرر شده بودند.
14Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter at the east gate, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the offerings of Yahweh, and the most holy things.
14قورَح پسر یِمنَۀ لاوی دروازه بان دروازۀ شرقی مسئول تحویل و توزیع اوقاف و هدایائی بود که مردم داوطلبانه و بخوشی خود برای خداوند می آوردند.
15Under him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their office of trust, to give to their brothers by divisions, as well to the great as to the small:
15عِیدَن، مِنیامین، یشوع، شِمَعیه، اَمَریا و شِکَنیا معاونین او بودند که با صداقت در مورد توزیع سهم کوچک و بزرگ اعضای خانواده های کاهنان در شهرهای شان کمک می کردند.
16besides those who were reckoned by genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even everyone who entered into the house of Yahweh, as the duty of every day required, for their service in their offices according to their divisions;
16برعلاوه به افراد ذکور سه ساله و بالا تر که نام شان در نسب نامه شامل بود و در عبادتگاه خداوند به وظایف مختلف روزمره مصروف بودند، سهمیه ای توزیع می کردند.
17and those who were reckoned by genealogy of the priests by their fathers’ houses, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their offices by their divisions;
17نام کاهنان در نسب نامۀ شان و از لاویان بیست ساله و بالا تر تحت نام فرقۀ شان ثبت شده بود.
18and those who were reckoned by genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their office of trust they sanctified themselves in holiness.
18کودکان، زنان، پسران و دختران هم در نسب نامه شامل بودند.
19Also for the sons of Aaron the priests, who were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every city, there were men who were mentioned by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all who were reckoned by genealogy among the Levites.
19برای پسران هارون، یعنی کاهنانی که در اطراف شهرها زندگی می کردند، یکی از کاهنان مقرر شده بود تا آذوقه و دیگر مایحتیاج هر مرد شان را که در نسب نامۀ لاویان شامل بود، فراهم کند.
20Hezekiah did so throughout all Judah; and he worked that which was good and right and faithful before Yahweh his God.
20به این ترتیب حزقیا کار توزیع مواد لازمه را در سراسر سرزمین یَهُودا ترتیب داد و آنچه را که مورد پسند خداوند، خدای او بود انجام داد.و برای خدمت در عبادتگاه خداوند و مطابعت از احکام شریعت از روی ایمان و دل و جان کوشش زیاد بخرج داد و در همه کارها موفق شد.
21In every work that he began in the service of God’s house, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.
21و برای خدمت در عبادتگاه خداوند و مطابعت از احکام شریعت از روی ایمان و دل و جان کوشش زیاد بخرج داد و در همه کارها موفق شد.
