1In the seventeenth year of Pekah the son of Remaliah Ahaz the son of Jotham king of Judah began to reign.
1در سال هفدهم سلطنت فَقَح، پسر رِملیا، احاز پسر یوتام بر تخت سلطنت یهودا نشست.
2Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign; and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and he didn’t do that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh his God, like David his father.
2او بیست ساله بود که پادشاه شد و مدت شانزده سال در اورشلیم سلطنت کرد. او در زندگی، مثل جد خود، داود که خداوند، خدای خود را با اعمال نیک خود راضی و خوشنود ساخت رفتار نکرد،
3But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yes, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the nations, whom Yahweh cast out from before the children of Israel.
3بلکه راه و روش زشت پادشاهان اسرائیل را در پیش گرفت. او حتی پسر خود را به پیروی از رسوم نفرت آمیز اقوامی که خداوند آن ها را از سر راه مردم اسرائیل دور کرد، قربانی نمود.
4He sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.
4در معابد بالای تپه ها و زیر هر درخت سبز قربانی کرد و بخور سوزانید.
5Then Rezin king of Syria and Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel came up to Jerusalem to war: and they besieged Ahaz, but could not overcome him.
5رزین، پادشاه ارام و فَقَح، پسر رِملیا، پادشاه اسرائیل برای جنگ به اورشلیم رفتند و آنرا محاصره کردند، اما نتوانستند آحاز را شکست بدهند.
6At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered Elath to Syria, and drove the Jews from Elath; and the Syrians came to Elath, and lived there, to this day.
6در همان وقت رزین، پادشاه ارام ادارۀ شهر اِیلَت را به دست آورد و یهودیانی را که در آنجا می زیستند، بیرون راند و ارامیان را فرستاد تا در آن شهر زندگی کنند که تا به امروز در آنجا سکونت دارند.
7So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria, saying, “I am your servant and your son. Come up, and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of the hand of the king of Israel, who rise up against me.”
7آحاز نمایندگانی را پیش تِغلَت فلاسر، پادشاه آشور با این پیام فرستاد: «من مثل یک فرزند، خدمتگار مخلص تو ام. خواهش می کنم که بیائی و مرا از دست پادشاهان ارام و اسرائیل نجات بدهی و در مقابل حملۀ آن ها از من دفاع کنی.»
8Ahaz took the silver and gold that was found in the house of Yahweh, and in the treasures of the king’s house, and sent it for a present to the king of Assyria.
8آحاز همچنین هرقدر نقره و طلائیکه در خزانه های عبادتگاه خداوند و قصر شاهی یافت برای پادشاه آشور فرستاد.
9The king of Assyria listened to him; and the king of Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried its people captive to Kir, and killed Rezin.
9پادشاه آشور خواهش او را پذیرفت و به دمشق حمله کرد. آنرا تصرف نمود و مردم آنجا را اسیر کرد و به قیر برد و خود رزین را بقتل رساند.
10King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria, and saw the altar that was at Damascus; and king Ahaz sent to Urijah the priest the fashion of the altar, and its pattern, according to all its workmanship.
10وقتی آحاز به ملاقات پادشاه آشور به دمشق رفت و قربانگاه آنجا را دید نقشۀ ساختمان آنرا با تمام جُزئیاتش برای اوریای کاهن فرستاد.
11Urijah the priest built an altar: according to all that king Ahaz had sent from Damascus, so Urijah the priest made it for the coming of king Ahaz from Damascus.
11اوریا مطابق نقشه ای که آحاز از دمشق برایش فرستاده بود، شروع به ساختن قربانگاهی با همان شرایط و تفصیلات کرد و تا پیش از بازگشت آحاز از دمشق تکمیلش نمود.
12When the king had come from Damascus, the king saw the altar: and the king drew near to the altar, and offered on it.
12وقتی پادشاه بازگشت و قربانگاه را دید، رفت
13He burnt his burnt offering and his meal offering, and poured his drink offering, and sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, on the altar.
13و قربانی سوختنی و هدیۀ آردی تقدیم کرد. شراب و خون قربانی صلح را بر آن ریخت.
14The bronze altar, which was before Yahweh, he brought from the forefront of the house, from between his altar and the house of Yahweh, and put it on the north side of his altar.
14قربانگاه برنجی را که وقف خداوند شده بود و در پیشروی عبادتگاه خداوند قرار داشت، برداشت و در سمت شمال قربانگاه نَو گذاشت.
15King Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, “On the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meal offering, and the king’s burnt offering, and his meal offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meal offering, and their drink offerings; and sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice; but the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by.”
15بعد پادشاه به اوریا امر کرد و گفت: «بر این قربانگاه بزرگ، قربانی سوختنی صبحانه، هدیۀ آردی شامگاهی، قربانی سوختنی و آردی پادشاه و قربانی مردم را باید تقدیم کنی و خون همه قربانی ها را بر آن بریزی، اما قربانگاه برنجی باید تنها برای استفادۀ شخصی من، بخاطر خواستن هدایت از خداوند باشد.»
16Urijah the priest did so, according to all that king Ahaz commanded.
16پس اوریا همه چیزی را که پادشاه امر کرده بود اجرا کرد.
17King Ahaz cut off the panels of the bases, and removed the basin from off them, and took down the sea from off the bronze oxen that were under it, and put it on a pavement of stone.
17بعد آحاز چوکات پایه ها را باز کرد و طشتها را از بالای آن برداشت و همچنین حوض بزرگ برنجی را که بر پشت دوازده گاو برنجی قرار داشت پائین کرد و بر پایۀ سنگی گذاشت.
18The covered way for the Sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king’s entry outside, turned he to the house of Yahweh, because of the king of Assyria.
18آحاز برای خوشنودی پادشاه آشور تخت شاهی را از داخل عبادتگاه خداوند برداشت و راه مخصوصی را که برای رفتن شاه به عبادتگاه و شرکت در مراسم درست کرده بودند، مسدود نمود.
19Now the rest of the acts of Ahaz which he did, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
19بقیۀ وقایع دوران سلطنت آحاز و کارهای او در کتاب تاریخ پادشاهان یهودا ثبت اند.بعد آحاز فوت کرد و در مقبرۀ شاهی، در شهر داود بخاک سپرده شد. بعد از او پسرش، حِزقِیا بر تخت سلطنت نشست.
20Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Hezekiah his son reigned in his place.
20بعد آحاز فوت کرد و در مقبرۀ شاهی، در شهر داود بخاک سپرده شد. بعد از او پسرش، حِزقِیا بر تخت سلطنت نشست.
