¹Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour 3:00 PM .

¹یکروز در ساعت سه بعد از ظهر که وقت دعا بود، پِترُس و یوحنا به عبادتگاه می رفتند.

²A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple.

²در آنجا مردی شل مادرزاد بود که هر روز او را در پیش دروازۀ عبادتگاه، که به «دروازۀ زیبا» معروف بود، می گذاشتند تا از کسانیکه به درون عبادتگاه می رفتند صدقه بگیرد.

³Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy.

³وقتی پِترُس و یوحنا را دید که به عبادتگاه میروند تقاضای صدقه کرد.

⁴Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”

⁴اما پِترُس و یوحنا طرف او دیدند و پِترُس به او گفت: «به ما نگاه کن.»

⁵He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.

⁵او به خیال اینکه چیزی از آنها خواهد گرفت با چشمانی پُر توقع طرف ایشان دید.

⁶But Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”

⁶اما پِترُس گفت: «من طلا و نقره ندارم، اما آنچه دارم به تو می دهم. به نام عیسی مسیح ناصری به تو امر میکنم: برخیز و راه برو.»

⁷He took him by the right hand, and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.

⁷آنگاه پِترُس دست راستش را گرفت و او را از زمین بلند کرد. فوراً پاها و بند پاهای او قوت گرفتند.

⁸Leaping up, he stood, and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

⁸او از جا پرید، روی پاهای خود ایستاد و در راه رفتن شد و جست و خیز کنان و خدا را حمد گویان همراه ایشان داخل عبادتگاه شد.

⁹All the people saw him walking and praising God.

⁹همه مردم او را روان و حمد گویان دیدند

¹⁰They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

¹⁰و وقتی فهمیدند که او همان کسی است که قبلاً در پیش «دروازۀ زیبا» می نشست و صدقه می گرفت، از آنچه بر او واقع شده بود غرق تعجب و حیرت شدند.

¹¹As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

¹¹در حالیکه او به پِترُس و یوحنا چسپیده بود و از آنها جدا نمی شد، جمیع مردم با حیرت در ایوان سلیمان بطرف آنها دویدند.

¹²When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

¹²وقتی پِترُس دید که مردم می آیند گفت: «ای اسرائیلی ها چرا از دیدن این امر تعجب می کنید؟ چرا طرف ما می بینید؟ خیال می کنید که ما این شخص را با تقوی و نیروی خود شفا داده ایم؟

¹³The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

¹³خدای ابراهیم و اسحاق و یعقوب، خدای اجداد ما، بندۀ خود عیسی را به جلال رسانیده است. بلی، شما عیسی را به مرگ تسلیم نمودید و در حضور پیلاطُس او را رد کردید در حالیکه پیلاطُس تصمیم گرفته بود او را آزاد کند.

¹⁴But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

¹⁴شما بودید که قدوس خدا یعنی آن مرد عادل را انکار کردید و آزادی یکنفر قاتل را خواستار شدید

¹⁵and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.

¹⁵و به این طریق آن سرچشمۀ زندگی را کشتید، اما خدا او را پس از مرگ زنده کرد و ما شاهد این واقعه هستیم.

¹⁶By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

¹⁶قدرت نام عیسی این شخص را که می بیند و می شناسید نیرو بخشیده است. بوسیلۀ ایمان به نام او اینکار انجام شده است. بلی، در حضور جمیع شما ایمان به عیسی او را سالم و تندرست ساخته است.

¹⁷“Now, brothers The word for “brothers” here may be also correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

¹⁷و اما ای برادران، می دانم که شما مثل حکمرانان خود این کار را از روی غفلت انجام دادید.

¹⁸But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.

¹⁸ولی خدا به این طریق به آن پیشگویی هائی که مدتها پیش بوسیله جمیع انبیای خود فرموده بود که مسیح او می آید تا رنج و آزار ببیند، تحقق بخشید.

¹⁹“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,

¹⁹پس توبه کنید و به سوی خدا بازگشت نمائید تا گناهان شما محو گردد.

²⁰and that he may send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for you before,

²⁰و زمان تجدید زندگی از پیشگاه خداوند فرا رسد و خدا، عیسی یعنی آن مسیح وعده شده را که از پیش برای تان برگزیده بود بفرستد.

²¹whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.

²¹همانطور که خدا به وسیلۀ انبیای مقدس خود از مدتها پیش اعلام نموده، او باید تا زمانی که همه چیز تازه و نو شود در آسمان بماند.

²²For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

²²موسی فرمود: «خداوند، خدای شما نبی ای مانند من برای شما از میان برادران شما بر می انگیزد، به آنچه او به شما می گوید گوش دهید.

²³It will be, that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ Deuteronomy 18:15,18-19

²³و هر کس از اطاعت آن نبی سر باز زند از جمع اسرائیلی ها ریشه کن شود.»

²⁴Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.

²⁴و همچنین تمام انبیاء از سموئیل به بعد یک صدا زمان حاضر را پیشگویی می کردند.

²⁵You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘In your seed will all the families of the earth be blessed.’ Genesis 22:18; 26:4

²⁵شما فرزندان انبیاء هستید و به این سبب در آن پیمانی که خدا با اجداد شما بست حصه دارید چنانکه خدا به ابراهیم فرمود: «از نسل تو تمام اقوام روی زمین برکت خواهند یافت.»هنگامیکه خدا بنده خود عیسی را مقرر کرد او را قبل از همه پیش شما فرستاد تا شما را از راه های شرارت آمیز تان برگرداند و به این وسیله شما را برکت دهد.»

²⁶God, having raised up his servant, Jesus, sent him to you first, to bless you, in turning away everyone of you from your wickedness.”

²⁶هنگامیکه خدا بنده خود عیسی را مقرر کرد او را قبل از همه پیش شما فرستاد تا شما را از راه های شرارت آمیز تان برگرداند و به این وسیله شما را برکت دهد.»
