¹I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said, “Strike the tops of the pillars, that the thresholds may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will kill the last of them with the sword: there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape.

¹خداوند را دیدم که در کنار قربانگاه ایستاده بود و فرمود: «تاجهای ستونهای عبادتگاه را بشکن تا اساس عبادتگاه به لرزه آید و سقف آن بر سر همۀ مردم فروریزد. کسانی را که زنده بمانند با شمشیر می کشم. هیچ کسی نمی تواند فرار کند و جان سالم بدر برد.

²Though they dig into Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. , there my hand will take them; and though they climb up to heaven, there I will bring them down.

²اگر به دوزخ بروند، از دست من رهائی نمی یابند و اگر به آسمان صعود کنند، آن ها را پائین می آورم.

³Though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out there; and though they be hidden from my sight in the bottom of the sea, there I will command the serpent, and it will bite them.

³اگر در کوه کَرمَل پنهان شوند، به سراغ شان می روم و آن ها را پیدا می کنم. اگر از نظر من در اعماق بحر مخفی شوند، مار را می فرستم تا آن ها را بگزد.

⁴Though they go into captivity before their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it will kill them. I will set my eyes on them for evil, and not for good.

⁴حتی اگر به کشور دشمن تبعید شوند، من به دشمنان فرمان می دهم تا آن ها را در آنجا بکشد. آن ها همیشه تحت نظر من بوده بجای خوبی از من بدی می بینند.»

⁵For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, is he who touches the land and it melts, and all who dwell in it will mourn; and it will rise up wholly like the River, and will sink again, like the River of Egypt.

⁵خداوند، خدای قادر مطلق وقتی زمین را لمس کند، زمین گداخته می شود و ساکنین آن ماتم می گیرند. تمام زمین مانند آب دریای نیل بالا می آید و دوباره فرومی نشیند.

⁶It is he who builds his rooms in the heavens, and has founded his vault on the earth; he who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out on the surface of the earth; Yahweh is his name.

⁶آن کسی که خانۀ خود را در آسمان ها بنا کرده و گنبد آسمان را بر فراز زمین قرار داده است، آب های بحر را جمع می کند و آن ها را بر زمین می باراند، نامش خداوند است.

⁷Are you not like the children of the Ethiopians to me, children of Israel?” says Yahweh. “Haven’t I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

⁷خداوند می فرماید: «ای قوم اسرائیل، شما برای من مثل حبشی ها هستید؟ من شما را از کشور مصر، فلسطینی ها را از جزیرۀ کریت و مردم سوریه را از قیر بیرون آوردم.

⁸Behold, the eyes of the Lord Yahweh are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the surface of the earth; except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,” says Yahweh.

⁸چشمان منِ خداوند متعال بر کشور گناهکار اسرائیل باز است و آن ها را از روی زمین محو می کنم، اما قوم اسرائیل را بکلی نابود نمی سازم. این است گفتۀ خداوند.

⁹“For, behold, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all the nations, as grain is sifted in a sieve, yet not the least kernel will fall on the earth.

⁹من به دشمنان امر می کنم که قوم اسرائیل را همانطوری که گندم را غربال می کنند، تکان بدهند تا کاملاً از مردم بدکار جدا شوند.

¹⁰All the sinners of my people will die by the sword, who say, ‘Evil won’t overtake nor meet us.’

¹⁰تمام گناهکاران قوم برگزیدۀ من که می گویند: «بلائی بر سر ما نمی آید.» با شمشیر کشته می شوند.»

¹¹In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen, and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;

¹¹خداوند می فرماید: «در آن زمان سلطنت داود را که ویران شده است مثل سابق برقرار می سازم.

¹²that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations who are called by my name,” says Yahweh who does this.

¹²قوم اسرائیل همۀ آنچه را که از ادوم و اقوام دیگر باقی مانده است و زمانی به من تعلق داشت، تصاحب می کنند.» خداوند که همۀ اینها را بجا می آورد، فرموده است.

¹³“Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh, “that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and sweet wine will drip from the mountains, and flow from the hills.

¹³خداوند می فرماید: «زمانی می رسد که غله چنان فراوان می شود که دروگران فرصت درو کردن آن را نمی داشته باشند و انگور بقدری فراوان می گردد که وقت برای فشردن آن نمی باشد و شراب شیرین از تپه ها جاری می شود.

¹⁴I will bring my people Israel back from captivity, and they will rebuild the ruined cities, and inhabit them; and they will plant vineyards, and drink wine from them. They shall also make gardens, and eat their fruit.

¹⁴من قوم خود را دوباره به وطن شان می آورم. شهرهای ویران را آباد می کنند، باغها و تاکستانها می سازند و محصول آن ها را می خورند.قوم خود را در سرزمینی که به آن ها داده ام مستقر می سازم و بار دیگر آن ها را از آنجا جدا نمی کنم.» این گفتۀ خداوند، خدای شما است.

¹⁵I will plant them on their land, and they will no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them,” says Yahweh your God.

¹⁵قوم خود را در سرزمینی که به آن ها داده ام مستقر می سازم و بار دیگر آن ها را از آنجا جدا نمی کنم.» این گفتۀ خداوند، خدای شما است.
