1At that time Yahweh said to me, “Cut two tables of stone like the first, and come up to me onto the mountain, and make an ark of wood.
1آنگاه خداوند به من فرمود: «دو لوح سنگی دیگر را مانند لوحه های قبلی بتراش و یک صندوق چوبی هم بساز و بعد بحضور من در بالای کوه بیا.
2I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which you broke, and you shall put them in the ark.”
2من بر آن ها همان احکامی را که بر لوح های قبلی نوشته بودم و تو آن ها را شکستی، دوباره می نویسم. آنوقت تو آن دو لوحه را در صندوق بگذار.»
3So I made an ark of acacia wood, and cut two tables of stone like the first, and went up onto the mountain, having the two tables in my hand.
3پس من یک صندوق از چوب اکاسی ساختم، دو لوح سنگی را هم مثل لوحه های قبلی تراشیدم و آن ها را برداشته به بالای کوه رفتم.
4He wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Yahweh spoke to you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Yahweh gave them to me.
4خداوند همان احکام ده گانه را که وقتی همۀ شما در پائین کوه جمع شده بودید از میان آتش به شما داد، دوباره بر آن ها نوشت.
5I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Yahweh commanded me.
5آنگاه من از کوه پائین آمدم و طبق فرمان خداوند لوحه ها را در صندوقی که ساخته بودم گذاشتم که تا امروز در آن قرار دارند.
6(The children of Israel traveled from Beeroth Bene Jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest’s office in his place.
6(بعد قوم اسرائیل از بیروتِ بنی یَعقان به موسیره رفتند. در آنجا هارون درگذشت و بخاک سپرده شد و پسرش، اَلِعازار بجای او بحیث کاهن گماشته شد.
7From there they traveled to Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.
7از آنجا به سفر خود ادامه داده به جُدجوده کوچ کردند و سپس به یُطبات، سرزمینی که دارای جویهای آب روان بود رفتند.
8At that time Yahweh set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, to stand before Yahweh to minister to him, and to bless in his name, to this day.
8در همان وقت بود که خداوند قبیلۀ لاوی را انتخاب کرد تا صندوق پیمان خداوند را حمل کنند و در حضور او بایستند و او را خدمت کنند و به نام او برکت بدهند که تا به امروز همین وظایف را اجراء می نمایند.
9Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brothers; Yahweh is his inheritance, according as Yahweh your God spoke to him.)
9از همین خاطر است که به لاویان مثل قبایل دیگر سهمی در سرزمین داده نشد، چونکه خود خداوند میراث آن ها می باشد.)
10I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and Yahweh listened to me that time also; Yahweh would not destroy you.
10قراریکه پیشتر گفتم، من بار دیگر برای مدت چهل شبانه روز در بالای کوه باقی ماندم. باز هم خداوند دعایم را قبول فرمود و نخواست شما را از بین ببرد.
11Yahweh said to me, “Arise, take your journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them.”
11خداوند به من فرمود: «برخیز به سفر خود ادامه بده و مردم را رهبری کن تا بروند و آن سرزمین را که به پدران شان وعده داده بودم تصاحب کنند.»
12Now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God require of you, but to fear Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
12پس حالا ای اسرائیل، خداوند، خدایت از تو چه می خواهد: از خداوند، خدای خود بترس، طریق او را دنبال کن، او را دوست بدار، با تمام قلب و روح بندگی خداوند، خدای خود را نما
13to keep the commandments of Yahweh, and his statutes, which I command you this day for your good?
13و احکام او را که امروز به تو ابلاغ می کنم و برای خیر و صلاح تو است بجا آور.
14Behold, to Yahweh your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.
14هرچند آسمان و بلندترین آسمان ها و همچنین زمین و همه چیزهائی که در آن هستند به خداوند، خدای تو تعلق دارند،
15Only Yahweh had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.
15با اینهم او آنقدر به پدران تو محبت داشت که شما را که نسل آن ها هستید و امروز خود تان می بینید، از بین تمام اقوام دیگر برای خود انتخاب کرد و شما هنوز قوم برگزیده او هستید.
16Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.
16پس مُطیع او باش و از سرکشی و غرور دست بردار.
17For Yahweh your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn’t respect persons, nor takes reward.
17زیرا خداوند، خدای ما خدای خدایان و خداوند خداوندان است و خدائی است با عظمت و توانا و با هیبت. تبعیض را نمی پسندد و رشوه نمی گیرد.
18He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, in giving him food and clothing.
18او به داد یتیمان و بیوه زنان می رسد. بیگانگان را دوست می دارد و برای آن ها غذا و لباس تهیه می کند.
19Therefore love the foreigner; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
19پس شما هم به بیگانگان شفقت نشان بدهید، زیرا که در زمین مصر بیگانه بودید.
20You shall fear Yahweh your God; you shall serve him; and you shall cling to him, and you shall swear by his name.
20از خداوند، خدای خود بترس و تنها او را پرستش کن. به او توکل کن و فقط بنام او قسم بخور.
21He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things, which your eyes have seen.
21او مایۀ افتخار تو و همان خدائی است که در برابر چشمان تو معجزات بزرگی برای تو نشان داد.وقتیکه اجداد تان به مصر رفتند، تعداد شان هفتاد نفر بود، اما حالا خداوند، خدایت شمارۀ تو را به اندازۀ ستارگان آسمان ساخته است.
22Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now Yahweh your God has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.
22وقتیکه اجداد تان به مصر رفتند، تعداد شان هفتاد نفر بود، اما حالا خداوند، خدایت شمارۀ تو را به اندازۀ ستارگان آسمان ساخته است.
