1When a man takes a wife, and marries her, then it shall be, if she find no favor in his eyes, because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
1اگر مردی با زنی ازدواج کند و بعد از آن بنا بر علتی از او راضی نباشد و طلاقنامه ای نوشته او را طلاق بدهد.
2When she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
2بعد آن زن برود و با مرد دیگری ازدواج کند.
3If the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, who took her to be his wife;
3اگر شوهر دومی هم از او راضی نباشد و طلاقش بدهد یا بمیرد،
4her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before Yahweh: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance.
4شوهر اولی اجازه ندارد که با او دوباره ازدواج کند، زیرا آن زن نجس شده است و خداوند از چنین ازدواج متنفر است. شما نباید با این عمل خود سرزمینی را که خداوند به شما می دهد، با گناه آلوده سازید.
5When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be assigned any business: he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.
5مردی که تازه عروسی کرده است نباید به خدمت نظامی و یا وظایفی مربوط به آن گماشته شود. او باید برای یک سال آزاد بوده با زنی که ازدواج کرده است خوش باشد و از زندگی لذت ببرد.
6No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone to pledge; for he takes a life in pledge.
6هیچ کسی نباید آسیا سنگ کسی را گرو بگیرد، زیرا که آن چیز وسیلۀ امرار معاش صاحبش می باشد.
7If a man be found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and he deal with him as a slave, or sell him; then that thief shall die: so you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.
7اگر کسی یکنفر اسرائیلی را بدزدد و با او مثل غلام رفتار کند و یا او را بفروشد، آن شخص دزد باید کشته شود تا شرارت از بین شما پاک گردد.
8Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.
8اگر کسی به مرض بَرَص مبتلا شود، باید بدقت به آنچه که کاهنان می گویند عمل کند، چون آن ها احکامی را که من داده ام بجا می آورند.
9Remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam, by the way as you came forth out of Egypt.
9بخاطر داشته باشید که خداوند، خدای شما وقتی از مصر خارج می شدید با مریم چه کرد.
10When you do lend your neighbor any kind of loan, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.
10وقتی شما به کسی قرض می دهید نباید برای گرو گرفتن به خانه اش داخل شوید.
11You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you do lend shall bring forth the pledge outside to you.
11شما باید در بیرون خانه منتظر باشید تا صاحب خانه خودش آن را برای تان بیاورد.
12If he be a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge;
12اگر آن شخص نادار باشد و چپن خود را که در آن می خوابد به شما بعنوان گرو بدهد،
13you shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness to you before Yahweh your God.
13هنگام غروب آنرا برایش مسترد کنید تا آن شخص شب در آن بخوابد و ترا دعا کند و خداوند، خدای شما هم به شما اجر بدهد.
14You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he be of your brothers, or of your foreigners who are in your land within your gates:
14بر مزدور و کارگر فقیر و ناداری که برای شما کار می کند، چه اسرائیلی باشد چه بیگانه، ظلم نکنید.
15in his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it: lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you.
15مزدش را هر روزه پیش از غروب آفتاب برایش بدهید، زیرا چون فقیر و محتاج است برای معیشت خود به آن مزد احتیاج دارد. در غیر آن ممکن است بحضور خداوند از دست شما شکایت کند و گناهکار محسوب شوید.
16The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
16والدین نباید بسبب گناه فرزندان شان کشته شوند. همچنین فرزندان نیز نباید بخاطر گناه والدین شان محکوم گردند. هر کسی باید بسبب گناه خودش کشته شود.
17You shall not deprive the foreigner, or the fatherless of justice, nor take a widow’s clothing in pledge;
17حق بیگانگان و یتیمان را تلف نکنید و لباس بیوه زنان را در مقابل قرضی که می دهید گرو نگیرید.
18but you shall remember that you were a bondservant in Egypt, and Yahweh your God redeemed you there: therefore I command you to do this thing.
18بخاطر داشته باشید که شما هم در مصر غلام بودید و خداوند، خدای تان شما را آزاد کرد. از همین خاطر است که من به شما این هدایت را می دهم.
19When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
19اگر در وقت درو محصول فراموش کنید که دسته ای را از مزرعه ببرید، برای بردن آن برنگردید. آن را برای بیگانگان و یتیمان و بیوه زنان بگذارید تا خداوند، خدای تان در همه کارها به شما برکت بدهد.
20When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
20وقتی محصول زیتون تان را از درخت می تکانید، چیزی را که باقی می ماند نتکانید، بلکه آن را برای استفادۀ بیگانگان و یتیمان و بیوه زنان بگذارید.
21When you harvest your vineyard, you shall not glean it after yourselves: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21وقتی انگور را یکبار از تاک چیدید بار دوم برای چیدن آن نروید، بلکه باقیمانده را بگذارید که بیگانگان و یتیمان و بیوه زنان از آن استفاده کنند.بخاطر داشته باشید که در مصر غلام بودید. از همین خاطر است که من به شما این هدایت را می دهم.
22You shall remember that you were a bondservant in the land of Egypt: therefore I command you to do this thing.
