1Elihu also continued, and said,
1لحظه ای حوصله کن و آنچه را در مورد خدا می گویم بشنو.
2“Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.
2معلومات من وسیع است و به این وسیله می خواهم به تو ثابت کنم که خدا، خالق من، عادل است.
3I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
3من که در برابر تو ایستاده ام، دروغ نمی گویم و همه سخنان من عین حقیقت است.
4For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
4خدا واقعاً قادر است و کسی را ذلیل و خوار نمی شمارد.
5“Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.
5اشخاص شریر را زنده نمی گذارد و به داد مردم مظلوم می رسد.
6He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked, but gives to the afflicted their right.
6به مردمان نیک توجه دارد و آن ها را به تخت پادشاهی می نشاند و تا ابد سرفراز می سازد.
7He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.
7اما اگر به مصیبتی گرفتار و اسیر شوند،
8If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,
8خدا خطا و گناه شان را که از روی غرور کرده اند، به رخ آن ها می کشد.
9then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.
9گوشهای شان را باز می کند تا هدایات او را بشنوند و از کارهای خطا دست بکشند.
10He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity.
10هرگاه آن ها از امر او اطاعت کنند و بندگی او را نمایند، در آنصورت در تمام عمر خود سعادتمند و خوشحال خواهد بود.
11If they listen and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
11اما اگر نافرمانی کنند با شمشیر کشته می شوند و در نادانی می میرند.
12But if they don’t listen, they shall perish by the sword; they shall die without knowledge.
12آنهائی که خدا را نمی شناسند، همیشه خشمگین هستند و حتی در وقت هلاکت هم از خدا کمک نمی طلبند.
13“But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don’t cry for help when he binds them.
13در جوانی می میرند و عمر شان با ننگ و رسوائی ختم می شود.
14They die in youth. Their life perishes among the unclean.
14اما خدا رنجدیدگان را از سختی و زحمت نجات می دهد و در حقیقت وقتی که رنج می بینند گوشهای شان را باز می کند.
15He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.
15خدا ترا از رنج و مصیبت رهانید و در جائی آورد که خوشبخت و آرام باشی و سُفرۀ ترا با نعمت های خود پُر کرد.
16Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a broad place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.
16اما حالا تو بخاطر شرارتت سزاوار مجازات هستی.
17“But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.
17پس احتیاط کن که مبادا با رشوت و ثروت از راه راست منحرف شوی.
18Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.
18ناله و فریاد تو سودی ندارد و با قدرت خود نمی توانی از مصیبت رهائی یابی.
19Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?
19در آرزوی فرا رسیدن شب مباش، چرا که شب وقت هلاکت ملتها است.
20Don’t desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.
20به راه گناه مرو، زیرا بخاطر گناه بود که تو به این مصیبت ها گرفتار شدی.
21Take heed, don’t regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.
21بدان که خدا، قادر متعال و معلمی است که همتا ندارد.
22Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?
22کسی به او گفته نمی تواند که چه کند و یا او را متهم به بی عدالتی نماید.
23Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness?’
23مردم همیشه کارهای خدا را تمجید کرده اند و تو هم باید او را بخاطر کارهایش ستایش کنی.
24“Remember that you magnify his work, whereof men have sung.
24دست قدرت او را می توان از دور مشاهده کرد.
25All men have looked thereon. Man sees it afar off.
25ما عظمت خدا را به کلی درک کرده نمی توانیم و آغاز موجودیت او به کسی معلوم نیست.
26Behold, God is great, and we don’t know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.
26او آب را بصورت بخار به هوا می فرستد و از آن قطرات باران را می سازد.
27For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor,
27بعد ابر ها باران را به فراوانی برای انسان می ریزند.
28Which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.
28کسی نمی داند که ابر ها چگونه پهن می شوند و غرش رعد چطور از آسمان که خلوتگاه خدا است، بر می خیزد.
29Yes, can any understand the spreading of the clouds, and the thunderings of his pavilion?
29می بینید که چگونه آسمان را با برق روشن می سازد، اما اعماق بحر همچنان تاریک می ماند.
30Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.
30خدا رزق مردم را مهیا کرده به فراوانی به آن ها می دهد.
31For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.
31برق را با دستهای خود می گیرد و به هدف می زند.رعد فرارسیدن طوفان را اعلام می کند و حیوانات هم از آمدن آن آگاه می شوند.
32He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.
32رعد فرارسیدن طوفان را اعلام می کند و حیوانات هم از آمدن آن آگاه می شوند.
33Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also concerning the storm that comes up.
