¹Now these are the kings of the land, whom the children of Israel struck, and possessed their land beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah eastward:

¹مردم اسرائیل دو پادشاهی را که در شرق دریای اُردن بودند، شکست داد. (این ساحه شامل وادی دریای ارنون تا کوه حِرمون و همچنین شهرهای شرقی عربه بود.)

²Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the middle of the valley, and half Gilead, even to the river Jabbok, the border of the children of Ammon;

²یکی از آن دو پادشاه، سیهون اموری بود که در حِشبون حکومت می کرد. ساحۀ حکومت او شامل نیم سرزمین جلعاد، یعنی عروعیر (در کنار وادی اَرنُون)، و از وسط آن وادی تا دریای یبوق که سرحد عَمونی ها بود.

³and the Arabah to the sea of Chinneroth, eastward, and to the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, eastward, the way to Beth Jeshimoth; and on the south, under the slopes of Pisgah:

³همچنین وادی دریای اُردن و جهیل جلیل در جنوب بیت یشموت (در شرق بحیرۀ شور) و تا دامنۀ کوه فِسجه بود.

⁴and the border of Og king of Bashan, of the remnant of the Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,

⁴و دیگر آن عوج، پادشاه باشان بود که اسرائیل او را شکست داد. او از بازماندگان رفائیان بود که در عَشتاروت و اَدرَعی حکومت می کرد.

⁵and ruled in Mount Hermon, and in Salecah, and in all Bashan, to the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

⁵ساحۀ سلطنت او از کوه حِرمون، سَلخه و تمام باشان تا سرحد جشوریان و معکیان، نصف جِلعاد تا سرحد سَیحُون، پادشاه حِشبون وسعت داشت.

⁶Moses the servant of Yahweh and the children of Israel struck them. Moses the servant of Yahweh gave it for a possession to the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

⁶موسی، خدمتگار خداوند و قوم اسرائیل آن ها را شکست داد؛ و موسی، خدمتگار خداوند ملک و دارائی آن ها را به قبیلۀ رؤبین و نیم قبیلۀ مَنَسّی داد.

⁷These are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the children of Israel struck beyond the Jordan westward, from Baal Gad in the valley of Lebanon even to Mount Halak, that goes up to Seir. Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

⁷پادشاهان دیگری را که یوشع و قوم اسرائیل شکست دادند، در غرب دریای اُردن بودند. و سرزمین آن ها را از بعل جاد، در وادی لبنان تا کوه حالَق در جنوب، و دامنۀ کوه سعیر وسعت داشت و یوشع آنرا به دیگر قبایل مردم اسرائیل تقسیم کرد.

⁸in the hill country, and in the lowland, and in the Arabah, and in the slopes, and in the wilderness, and in the South; the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

⁸این ساحه شامل کوهستان، دشت غربی، وادی دریای اُردن و دامنه های آن، بیابان و سمت جنوبی بود. و مردمانی که در آن سرزمین زندگی می کردند حِتیان، اَمُوریان، کنعانیان، فِرزِیان، حویان و یبوسیان بودند.پادشاهانی را که قوم اسرائیل شکست دادند اینها بودند: پادشاه اریحا، پادشاه عای (همسایۀ بیت ئیل)، پادشاه اورشلیم، پادشاه حِبرون، پادشاه یرموت، پادشاه لاخیش، پادشاه عِجلون، پادشاه جازِر، پادشاه دَبیر، پادشاه جادَر، پادشاه حُرما، پادشاه عَراد، پادشاه لِبنَه، پادشاه عدولام، پادشاه مقیده، پادشاه بیت ئیل، پادشاه تفوح، پادشاه حافر، پادشاه عَفیق، پادشاه لَشارون، پادشاه مادون، پادشاه حاصور، پادشاه شِمرون مرؤن، پادشاه اَکشاف، پادشاه تَعنَک، پادشاه مِجِدو، پادشاه قادِش، پادشاه یُقنِعام در کَرمَل، پادشاه دُر در نافَت دُر، پادشاه اقوام در جلیل و پادشاه تِرزه. جمله سی و یک پادشاه.
