1Now Joshua was old and well advanced in years. Yahweh said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.
1وقتیکه یوشع پیر و سالخورده شد، خداوند به او فرمود: «تو حالا پیر و سالخورده شده ای و هنوز هم جاهای زیادی برای تصرف باقی مانده اند.
2“This is the land that still remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshurites;
2اینها عبارتند از: تمام سرزمین فلسطینی ها، تمام کشور جشوریان
3from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even to the border of Ekron northward, which is counted as Canaanite; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avvim,
3حویان (از شیحور که در شرق مصر است تا سرحد عَقرُون در سمت شمال که حالا متعلق به کنعانیان است). پنج حکمران فلسطینی در این پنج شهر حکومت می کردند: غزه، اَشدُود، اَشقَلُون، جَت و عَقرُون،
4on the south; all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the border of the Amorites;
4در جنوب، تمام سرزمین کنعانیان، از میعاره در صیدون تا اَفِیق و سرحد اَمُوریان،
5and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal Gad under Mount Hermon to the entrance of Hamath;
5سرزمین جِبلیان، تمام سرزمین لبنان در شرق، از بعل جاد در جنوب کوه حِرمون تا مدخل حَمات،
6all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, even all the Sidonians; them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only allocate it to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
6ساکنین کوهستان از لبنان تا مِسرِفوت مایم و مردم سِیدون، همه اینها را از سر راه قوم اسرائیل بیرون می رانم. و تو باید آنرا قرار هدایت من بین بقیۀ نُه قبیلۀ بنی اسرائیل و نیم قبیلۀ مَنَسّی تقسیم کنی.»
7Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”
7نیم دیگر قبیلۀ مَنَسّی و قبایل رؤبین و جاد قبلاً حق خود را گرفته اند که در شرق دریای اُردن است و موسی، خدمتگار خداوند به آن ها داد
8With him the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of Yahweh gave them:
8که ساحۀ آن از عروعیر، در کنار وادی اَرنُون، و از شهر وسطی وادی، تمام بیابان میدِبا تا دیبون وسعت داشت.
9from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba to Dibon;
9آن قسمت همچنین شامل تمام شهرهای سَیحُون، پادشاه اَمُوریان که در حِشبون حکومت می کرد تا به سرحد عَمون بود.
10and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the children of Ammon;
10و جِلعاد، سرزمین جشوریان و معکیان، سراسر کوه حِرمون، تمام باشان تا سَلخه هم مربوط این ساحه بود.
11and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah;
11تمام کشور عوج، پادشاه باشان که در اَشتاروت و اَدرَعی حکومت می کرد. (او تنها بازماندۀ رفائیان بود.) و موسی آن ها را شکست داد و از کشور های شان بیرون راند.
12all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei (the same was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); for Moses attacked these, and drove them out.
12اما بنی اسرائیل جشوریان و معکیان را نراندند، بلکه این دو قوم تا به امروز در بین مردم اسرائیل زندگی می کنند.
13Nevertheless the children of Israel didn’t drive out the Geshurites, nor the Maacathites: but Geshur and Maacath dwell in the midst of Israel to this day.
13موسی به قبیلۀ لاوی حقی از زمین نداد. در عوض، آن ها حق داشتند که قرار امر خداوند سهم خود را از قربانی های سوختنی که برای خداوند تقدیم می شد بگیرند.
14Only he gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi. The offerings of Yahweh, the God of Israel, made by fire are his inheritance, as he spoke to him.
14وقتیکه موسی به قبیلۀ رؤبین حصۀ زمین شان را داد،
15Moses gave to the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their families.
15ساحۀ ملکیت آن ها از عروعیر، در کنار وادی دریای اَرنُون، شهر مرکزی وادی و سراسر بیابان پهلوی میدِبا بود.
16Their border was from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain by Medeba;
16این ساحه شامل حِشبون و تمام شهرهای آن در بیابان، دیبون، باموت بَعل، بیت بَعل معون،
17Heshbon, and all its cities that are in the plain; Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,
17یَهصَه، قِدیموت، میفاعت،
18Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,
18قِریَتایم، سِبمه، سارَت شَحَر واقع بالای کوه در بیابان،
19Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth Shahar in the mount of the valley,
19بیت فِعور، در دامنۀ فِسجه، بیت یَشیموت،
20Beth Peor, the slopes of Pisgah, Beth Jeshimoth,
20سراسر شهرهای بیابان، تمام کشور سَیحُون پادشاه اَمُوریان که در حِشبون حکومت می کرد و موسی او را با پادشاهان مِدیان، یعنی اَوی، راقَم، صور و رابَع که در آن سرزمین زندگی می کردند شکست داد.
21all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses struck with the chiefs of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the princes of Sihon, who lived in the land.
21بنی اسرائیل بِلعام پسر بِعور فالبین را با بقیۀ آن ها با شمشیر کشت.
22The children of Israel alse killed Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, with the sword, among the rest of their slain.
22و دریای اُردن سرحد غربی قبیلۀ رؤبین بشمار می رفت. این شهرها و دهات آن سهم طایفه رؤبین بودند که به خاندانهای آنها داده شد.
23The border of the children of Reuben was the bank of the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, the cities and its villages.
23موسی سهم زمین قبیلۀ جاد را هم داد.
24Moses gave to the tribe of Gad, to the children of Gad, according to their families.
24که عبارت بود از یعزیر، همه شهرهای جِلعاد، نیم سرزمین عَمونی ها تا عروعیر که در شرق رَبه واقع است،
25Their border was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, to Aroer that is before Rabbah;
25و از حِشبون تا رامت مِصفه و بِطونیم، از محنایم تا سرحد دَبیر.
26and from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;
26در بین وادی دریای اُردن شهرهای بیت هارام، بیت نِمرَه، سُکوت، صافون و بقیۀ کشور سَیحُون، پادشاه حِشبون بودند. دریای اُردن سرحد غربی آن بود که تا جهیل جلیل ادامه داشت.
27and in the valley, Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, the Jordan’s bank, to the uttermost part of the sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan eastward.
27این شهرها و دهات حصۀ قبیلۀ جاد بودند که به خانواده های آن داده شد.
28This is the inheritance of the children of Gad according to their families, the cities and its villages.
28موسی یک حصۀ زمین را به نیم قبیلۀ مَنَسّی داد.
29Moses gave an inheritance to the half-tribe of Manasseh. It was for the half-tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families.
29ساحۀ ملکیت شان از محنایم، تمام باشان، سراسر کشور عوج، پادشاهان باشان و شصت شهریکه در باشان بودند وسعت داشت.
30Their border was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities.
30نیم جِلعاد، عَشتاروت، اَدرَعی و شهرهای عوج در باشان به نیم اولادۀ ماخیر پسر مَنَسّی داده شد.
31Half Gilead, Ashtaroth, and Edrei, the cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were for the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even for the half of the children of Machir according to their families.
31به این ترتیب، موسی زمینی را که در آن طرف دریای اُردن و در شرق اریحا بود تقسیم کرد.اما موسی به قبیلۀ لاوی حصه ای از زمین نداد، بلکه خود خداوند، خدای بنی اسرائیل قرار وعده به آن ها تعلق داشت.
32These are the inheritances which Moses distributed in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, eastward.
32اما موسی به قبیلۀ لاوی حصه ای از زمین نداد، بلکه خود خداوند، خدای بنی اسرائیل قرار وعده به آن ها تعلق داشت.
33But to the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance. Yahweh, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he spoke to them.
