1The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, when Ehud was dead.
1بعد از وفات اِیهود، مردم اسرائیل باز کاری کردند که در نظر خداوند زشت بود.
2Yahweh sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
2و خداوند آن ها را به دست یابین، پادشاه کنعان که در حاصور سلطنت می کرد، مغلوب ساخت. قوماندان سپاه یابین، سِیسَرا بود که در حَروشِت حاجوئیم زندگی می کرد.
3The children of Israel cried to Yahweh: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.
3قوم اسرائیل با زاری از خداوند کمک خواستند. چون سِیسَرا نُهصد عرادۀ جنگی آهنی داشت و بیست سال کامل بر مردم اسرائیل ظلم کرد.
4Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, she judged Israel at that time.
4در آن زمان دبورۀ نبیه، زن لَفیدوت داور قوم اسرائیل بود.
5She lived under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.
5او زیر درخت خرما، بین رامه و بیت ئیل که در کوهستان افرایم بود می نشست و مردم اسرائیل برای حل و فصل دعوای خود پیش او می آمدند.
6She sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh Naphtali, and said to him, “Hasn’t Yahweh, the God of Israel, commanded, ‘Go and draw to Mount Tabor, and take with you ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
6او یک روز باراق، پسر اَبینوعَم را که در قادِش، در سرزمین نفتالی زندگی می کرد پیش خود خواست و به او گفت: «خداوند، خدای اسرائیل فرموده است که تو باید ده هزار نفر از قبیلۀ نفتالی را مجهز کرده با آن ها به کوه تابور بروی.
7I will draw to you, to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into your hand.’”
7و با سِیسَرا قوماندان سپاه یابین و با همه عراده های جنگی و سپاه نیرومند او بجنگی. خداوند می فرماید: من آن ها را به دریای قیشون کشانده به دست تو تسلیم می کنم.»
8Barak said to her, “If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go.”
8باراق به او گفت: «اگر تو با من بروی، من می روم و اگر تو بامن نروی، من هم نمی روم.»
9She said, “I will surely go with you: nevertheless, the journey that you take shall not be for your honor; for Yahweh will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.
9دبوره جواب داد: «بسیار خوب، من با تو می روم، اما بدان که در این جنگ افتخاری نصیب تو نمی شود، زیرا خداوند سِیسَرا را به دست یک زن تسلیم می کند.» پس دبوره همراه باراق به قادِش رفت.
10Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali together to Kedesh; and there went up ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.
10و باراق مردان قبایل زبولون و نفتالی را که ده هزار نفر بودند، مجهز ساخته آن ها را همراه با دبوره به میدان جنگ رهبری نمود.
11Now Heber the Kenite had separated himself from the Kenites, even from the children of Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, and had pitched his tent as far as the oak in Zaanannim, which is by Kedesh.
11در این وقت حابر قَینی خود را از دیگر قَینی ها که اولادۀ حوباب، برادر زن موسی بود جدا کرده و در پیش درخت بلوط در صَعَنایم، در نزدیکی قادِش خیمه زد.
12They told Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to Mount Tabor.
12وقتی سِیسَرا شنید که باراق پسر اَبینوعَم به کوه تابور رفته است،
13Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles, to the river Kishon.
13تمام سپاه خود را با نُهصد عرادۀ جنگی آهنی آماده کرد و از حَروشِت حاجوئیم به وادی قیشون حرکت داد.
14Deborah said to Barak, “Go; for this is the day in which Yahweh has delivered Sisera into your hand. Hasn’t Yahweh gone out before you?” So Barak went down from Mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.
14دبوره به باراق گفت: «امروز روزیست که خداوند سِیسَرا را به دست تو تسلیم می کند. او قبلاً نقشۀ شکست او را کشیده است.» پس باراق از کوه پائین شد و با یک سپاه ده هزار نفری به جنگ سِیسَرا رفت.
15Yahweh confused Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his army, with the edge of the sword before Barak; and Sisera alighted from his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
15و خداوند سِیسَرا را با تمام عراده های جنگی و لشکر او را به وحشت انداخت. خود سِیسَرا از عرادۀ خود پیاده شد و فرار کرد.
16But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the army, to Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword; there was not a man left.
16باراق عراده ها و سپاه دشمن را تا حَروشِت حاجوئیم (یعنی جای مردم غیر یهود) تعقیب کرد و همه لشکر سِیسَرا با دَم شمشیر به قتل رسیدند و یکنفر هم زنده نماند.
17However Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite; for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
17سِیسَرا پای پیاده فرار کرد و به خیمۀ یاعیل، زن حابر قَینی پناه برد، زیرا بین یابین، پادشاه حاصور و خاندان حابر قَینی رابطۀ دوستی برقرار بود.
18Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, “Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; don’t be afraid.” He came in to her into the tent, and she covered him with a rug.
18یاعیل به استقبال سِیسَرا بیرون آمد و به او گفت: «بیا آقا، داخل شو، نترس. در اینجا همراه ما خطری برایت نیست.» پس سِیسَرا با او به داخل خیمه رفت. یاعیل او را با لحافی پوشاند.
19He said to her, “Please give me a little water to drink; for I am thirsty.” She opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.
19سِیسَرا به یاعیل گفت: «کمی آب بده که تشنه هستم.» یاعیل یک مشک شیر را باز کرد و به او شیر نوشانید و دوباره او را با لحاف پوشاند.
20He said to her, “Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man comes and inquires of you, and says, ‘Is there any man here?’ that you shall say, ‘No.’”
20سِیسَرا به یاعیل گفت: «برو پیش دروازۀ خیمه بایست. اگر کسی آمد و پرسید که آیا کسی در خیمه است؟ بگو، نی.»
21Then Jael Heber’s wife took a tent peg, and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him, and struck the pin into his temples, and it pierced through into the ground; for he was in a deep sleep; so he swooned and died.
21اما یاعیل یکی از میخهای خیمه را با یک چکش گرفت و آهسته پیش او رفت و میخ را به شقیقه اش کوفت که سر آن به زمین فرورفت و سِیسَرا جابجا مُرد، چونکه از فرط خستگی به خواب سنگینی رفته بود.
22Behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, “Come, and I will show you the man whom you seek.” He came to her; and behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent peg was in his temples.
22وقتی باراق بدنبال سِیسَرا آمد یاعیل به استقبال او بیرون رفت و به او گفت: «بیا شخصی را که در جستجویش بودی به تو نشان بدهم.» باراق داخل خیمه شد و سِیسَرا را در حالیکه میخ خیمه به شقیقه اش فرورفته بود، مُرده یافت.
23So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.
23بنابران، خداوند در همان روز یابین، پادشاه کنعان را به دست مردم اسرائیل شکست داد.و از آن روز ببعد قوم اسرائیل بر یابین قویتر و قویتر می شد تا اینکه او را بکلی نابود کردند.
24The hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.
24و از آن روز ببعد قوم اسرائیل بر یابین قویتر و قویتر می شد تا اینکه او را بکلی نابود کردند.
