¹Then Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam sang on that day, saying,

¹بعد در همان روز دبوره و باراق پسر اَبینوعَم این سرود را خواندند:

²“Because the leaders took the lead in Israel, because the people offered themselves willingly, be blessed, Yahweh!

²«خدا را ستایش کنید! رهبران شجاعانه به جنگ رفتند، و مردم با میل دل از آن ها پیروی نمودند.

³“Hear, you kings! Give ear, you princes! I, even I, will sing to Yahweh. I will sing praise to Yahweh, the God of Israel.

³ای پادشاهان بشنوید و ای حاکمان گوش بدهید! من برای خداوند سرود می خوانم و برای خداوند، خدای اسرائیل نغمه می سرایم.

⁴“Yahweh, when you went forth out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, the sky also dropped. Yes, the clouds dropped water.

⁴ای خداوند، وقتی از سعیر ما را رهبری کردی و هنگامی که از صحرای ادوم گذشتی، زمین لرزید. از آسمان ها باران بارید و از ابر ها بارش آمد.

⁵The mountains quaked at the presence of Yahweh, even Sinai, at the presence of Yahweh, the God of Israel.

⁵کوهها در برابر خداوندِ سینا تکان خوردند و در برابر خداوند، خدای اسرائیل به لرزه آمدند.

⁶در ایام شَمجَر پسر عَنات و در دوران یاعیل جاده ها متروک شدند و مسافران براه کج و پیچ رفتند.

⁷حکمرانان در اسرائیل نایاب و نابود شدند تا اینکه تو ای دبوره، به عنوان مادر اسرائیل ظهور کردی.

⁸چون قوم اسرائیل خدایان نو را قبول کردند، جنگ به دروازۀ شهر رسید. و در بین چهل هزار مرد اسرائیل هیچ سپر و نیزه ای یافت نمی شد.

⁹رهبران اسرائیل را دوست دارم که خود را با میل و رغبت وقف مردم کردند. خداوند را ستایش کنید.

¹⁰“Speak, you who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on rich carpets, and you who walk by the way.

¹⁰ای کسانی که بر الاغهای سفید سوار هستید و بر قالین های رنگین و گرانبها می نشینید و شما ای رهروان، در ستایش خداوند همنوا شوید.

¹¹نوازندگان در کنار چشمه ساران نوای فتح و ظفر خداوند را زمزمه می کنند. و قصیدۀ کارهای عادلانۀ خداوند را می خوانند. مردان خداوند با پیروزی به دروازه های شهر رسیدند.

¹²‘Awake, awake, Deborah! Awake, awake, utter a song! Arise, Barak, and lead away your captives, you son of Abinoam.’

¹²بیدار شو ای دبوره! بیدار شو! بیدار شو، بیدار شو و زمزمه کن! بیدار شو ای باراق! ای پسر اَبینوعَم! اسیران را به اسارت ببر!

¹³آنگاه مردم وفادار از کوه پائین شدند و قوم خداوند بخاطر من بسوی زورمندان قدم برداشتند.

¹⁴مردم افرایم از سرزمین عمالیق آمدند و مردمان بنیامین با پیروانت همراهی کردند. از ماخیر حاکمان و از زبولون سرداران سپاه آمدند.

¹⁵The princes of Issachar were with Deborah. As was Issachar, so was Barak. They rushed into the valley at his feet. By the watercourses of Reuben, there were great resolves of heart.

¹⁵رهبران ایسَسکار با دبوره و باراق آمدند و به وادی هجوم آوردند. اما در بین قبیلۀ رؤبین نفاق بود و باهم دعوا داشتند.

¹⁶Why did you sit among the sheepfolds, To hear the whistling for the flocks? At the watercourses of Reuben There were great searchings of heart.

¹⁶چرا در بین طویله ها معطل شدی؟ برای اینکه نوای نَی را بشنوی؟ بلی، در بین مردم رؤبین نفاق بود و باهم دعوا داشتند.

¹⁷Gilead lived beyond the Jordan. Why did Dan remain in ships? Asher sat still at the haven of the sea, and lived by his creeks.

¹⁷جِلعاد به آن طرف دریای اُردن ماند. دان چرا پیش کشتی ها معطل شد؟ اَشیر در کنار ساحل، آرام نشست و در بندرها ساکن شد.

¹⁸Zebulun was a people that jeopardized their lives to the deaths; Naphtali also, on the high places of the field.

¹⁸مردم قبایل زبولون و نفتالی زندگی خود را در میدان جنگ در خطر انداختند.

¹⁹“The kings came and fought, then the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no plunder of silver.

¹⁹پادشاهان آمدند و جنگیدند. پادشاهان کنعان در تَعنَک و چشمه های مِجِدو جنگ کردند، اما غنیمتی از نقره به دست نیاوردند.

²⁰From the sky the stars fought. From their courses, they fought against Sisera.

²⁰ستارگان از آسمان جنگ کردند، آن ها از مدار خود با سِیسَرا جنگیدند.

²¹The river Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. My soul, march on with strength.

²¹دریای خروشان قیشون آن ها را در ربود. ای جان من، با شجاعت قدم بردار!

²²Then the horse hoofs stamped because of the prancings, the prancings of their strong ones.

²²بعد صدای بلند سُم اسپان دشمنان شنیده شد.

²³‘Curse Meroz,’ said the angel of Yahweh. ‘Curse bitterly its inhabitants, because they didn’t come to help Yahweh, to help Yahweh against the mighty.’

²³فرشتۀ خداوند می گوید که میروز را لعنت کنید. به باشندگان آن بسختی نفرین نمائید، زیرا آن ها برای کمک به خداوند نیامدند و در جنگ با دشمنانش به او مدد نکردند.

²⁴“Jael shall be blessed above women, the wife of Heber the Kenite; blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

²⁴خوشا بحال یاعیل، زن حابر قَینی! او از تمام زنان خیمه نشین زیادتر برکت ببیند.

²⁵He asked for water. She gave him milk. She brought him butter in a lordly dish.

²⁵سِیسَرا آب خواست و یاعیل شیر و قیماق را در جام شاهانه به او داد.

²⁶She put her hand to the tent peg, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer. With the hammer she struck Sisera. She struck through his head. Yes, she pierced and struck through his temples.

²⁶بعد میخ خیمه و چکش کارگر را گرفت و در شقیقۀ سِیسَرا فروبُرد. سرش را شکست و شقیقه اش را شگافت.

²⁷At her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay. At her feet he bowed, he fell. Where he bowed, there he fell down dead.

²⁷او پیش پایش خَم شد و افتاد. بلی، در پیش پایش، در جائیکه خَم شد، افتاد و مُرد.

²⁸“Through the window she looked out, and cried: Sisera’s mother looked through the lattice. ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why do the wheels of his chariots wait?’

²⁸مادر سِیسَرا از راه کلکین می دید و از شبکۀ کلکین نگاه می کرد و منتظر آمدن او بود. گفت: «چرا عرادۀ او در آمدن تأخیر کرد؟ چرا آواز ارابه های عراده اش نمی آید؟»

²⁹Her wise ladies answered her, Yes, she returned answer to herself,

²⁹خانمهای دانشمندش به او جواب دادند و او سخنان آن ها را پیش خود تکرار می کرد و می گفت:

³⁰‘Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A lady, two ladies to every man; to Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, a spoil of dyed garments embroidered, of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil?’

³⁰«آن ها غنیمت بسیار گرفته اند و البته وقت زیاد به کار دارد تا آنرا تقسیم کنند. یک یا دو دختر نصیب هر مرد می شود. غنیمت لباسهای رنگارنگ برای سِیسَرا خواهند آورد. غنیمت لباسهای رنگارنگ و خامکدوزی بر گردن اسیران.»ای خداوند، همه دشمنانت هلاک باد. اما دوستدارانت مثل آفتاب با قدرت تمام بدرخشند.» بعد از آن مدت چهل سال آرامش در آن سرزمین برقرار بود.

³¹“So let all your enemies perish, Yahweh, but let those who love him be as the sun when it rises forth in its strength.” Then the land had rest forty years.

³¹ای خداوند، همه دشمنانت هلاک باد. اما دوستدارانت مثل آفتاب با قدرت تمام بدرخشند.» بعد از آن مدت چهل سال آرامش در آن سرزمین برقرار بود.
