1Yahweh said to Moses,
1خداوند به موسی فرمود که به قوم اسرائیل بگوید: «من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.
2“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘I am Yahweh your God.
2از کارهای مردم مصر که در کشور شان زندگی می کردید، پیروی نکنید. یا از کارهای کنعانیان که شما را در سرزمین شان می برم، تقلید ننمائید.
3You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived: and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you; neither shall you walk in their statutes.
3احکام مرا بجا آورید و از فرایض من اطاعت کنید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.
4You shall do my ordinances, and you shall keep my statutes, and walk in them: I am Yahweh your God.
4پس از احکامی که به شما می دهم و از قوانینی که برای تان وضع می کنم پیروی نمائید تا زندگی خود را حفظ کنید.
5You shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances; which if a man does, he shall live in them: I am Yahweh.
5هیچ کسی نباید با شخصی که محرم او است همبستر شود.
6“‘None of you shall approach anyone who are his close relatives, to uncover their nakedness: I am Yahweh.
6با مادرت همبستر مشو، زیرا با این عمل، مادر خود را بی عصمت می سازی.
7“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, nor the nakedness of your mother: she is your mother. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
7اگر با زنان دیگر پدرت همبستر شوی پدرت را بی حرمت می کنی.
8“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife: it is your father’s nakedness.
8با خواهر یا خواهر نا سکه ات، چه دختر پدرت باشد چه از مادرت، چه در خانه تولد یافته باشد چه در خارج، نباید همبستر شوی.
9“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home, or born abroad.
9با دختر پسرت و یا دختر دخترت همبستر نشوی، زیرا که این کار سبب بی عفتی آن ها و رسوائی خودت می شود.
10“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness: for theirs is your own nakedness.
10با دختر زن پدرت همبستر مشو، زیرا آن دختر هم خواهر تو است.
11“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister.
11با عمه که خواهر پدرت یا خاله که خواهر مادرت است همبستر مشو.
12“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister: she is your father’s near kinswoman.
12با زن کاکایت که او هم بجای عمه ات می باشد همبستر مشو.
13“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister: for she is your mother’s near kinswoman.
13با عروست همبستر مشو، چون او زن پسرت است.
14“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, you shall not approach his wife: she is your aunt.
14با زن برادرت همبستر مشو، زیرا با این کارت برادرت را بی حرمت می سازی.
15“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law: she is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
15اگر با زنی رابطۀ جنسی داشته ای نباید با دختر یا نواسۀ او همبستر شوی، چون ایشان از اقارب نزدیک او می باشند و این عمل قبیحی است.
16“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife: it is your brother’s nakedness.
16تا زمانی که زنت زنده است نباید با خواهر او عروسی کنی.
17“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
17با زنی که عادت ماهانه دارد همبستر مشو.
18“‘You shall not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is yet alive.
18تو نباید با زن یک شخص دیگر همبستر شوی، زیرا که بوسیلۀ او نجس می شوی.
19“‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.
19هیچ یک از فرزندانت را برای خدای مولک بر قربانگاه او نسوزان، چون این عمل نام خداوند، خدای ترا بی حرمت می سازد.
20“‘You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, and defile yourself with her.
20هیچ مردی نباید با مرد دیگری رابطۀ جنسی داشته باشد، زیرا خدا از این کار نفرت دارد.
21“‘You shall not give any of your children to sacrifice to Molech; neither shall you profane the name of your God: I am Yahweh.
21هیچ زن یا مردی نباید با حیوانی رابطۀ جنسی داشته باشد، چون با این عمل خود را نجس می سازد و این یک کار بسیار زشت است.
22“‘You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable.
22با این اعمال خود را نجس نسازید، زیرا بخاطر همین کار است که می خواهم همه اقوامی را که در این سرزمین زندگی می کنند بیرون رانده شما را در آن جای دهم.
23“‘You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.
23آن سرزمین بخاطر اعمال زشت آن ها آلوده شد، بنابران می خواهم همه ساکنین آنجا را به سزای اعمال شان رسانده آن ها را از آنجا بیرون اندازم.
24“‘Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.
24همگی باید قوانین و احکام مرا بجا آورده از ارتکاب اعمال زشت خودداری کنند. چه بیگانه باشند چه اسرائیلی.
25The land was defiled: therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.
25زیرا با اعمال قبیح آن مردمی که پیش از شما در آنجا بودند، آن سرزمین آلوده شد.
26You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;
26و شما هم اگر به آن گونه اعمال دست بزنید و آن سرزمین را آلوده کنید، مثل آن مردم از آنجا بیرون افگنده می شوید.
27(for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land became defiled);
27زیرا هر کسی که مرتکب یکی از این اعمال زشت شود از بین قوم طرد می گردد.لهذا هرگز با ارتکاب اعمال قبیح آن مردم خود را آلوده نسازید، بلکه فرایض و اوامر مرا بجا آورید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.»
28that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
28لهذا هرگز با ارتکاب اعمال قبیح آن مردم خود را آلوده نسازید، بلکه فرایض و اوامر مرا بجا آورید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.»
29“‘For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.
30Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs, which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them: I am Yahweh your God.’”
