¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹خداوند به موسی فرمود که به قوم اسرائیل بگوید: «مقدس باشید، زیرا که من خداوند، خدای شما قدوس هستم.

²“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘You shall be holy; for I Yahweh your God am holy.

²به پدر و مادر تان احترام کنید و مقررات سَبَت مرا مراعات نمائید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

³“‘Each one of you shall respect his mother and his father. You shall keep my Sabbaths. I am Yahweh your God.

³بت پرستی نکنید و برای خود بت نسازید، زیرا که من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

⁴“‘Don’t turn to idols, nor make molten gods for yourselves. I am Yahweh your God.

⁴وقتی برای من قربانی صلح تقدیم می کنید، باید آن را طبق هدایتی که من به شما داده ام انجام بدهید، ورنه آن را قبول نمی کنم.

⁵“‘When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.

⁵گوشتش را باید در همان روزی که حیوان را قربانی می کنید و یا فردای آن بخورید. هر چه که تا روز سوم باقی می ماند باید آن را در آتش بسوزانید.

⁶It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the next day: and if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned with fire.

⁶و اگر در روز سوم آن را بخورید، مکروه است و من آن قربانی را نمی پذیرم.

⁷If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted;

⁷پس اگر در روز سوم آنرا بخورید، گناهکار می شوید، زیرا به قدوسیت من بی احترامی می کنید و در نتیجه از بین قوم برگزیدۀ من طرد می شوید.

⁸but everyone who eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy thing of Yahweh, and that soul shall be cut off from his people.

⁸وقتی محصول زمین تان را درو می کنید کنج و کنار زمین را درو ننمائید. همچنین خوشه هائی را که باقی مانده اند جمع نکنید.

⁹“‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.

⁹در وقت انگور چینی، تمام انگورهای تاکستان خود را نچینید. خوشه ها و دانه های انگور را که بر زمین افتاده اند جمع نکنید. آن ها را برای فقرا و مسافرین بگذارید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

¹⁰You shall not glean your vineyard, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Yahweh your God.

¹⁰از دزدی، خیانت و دروغگوئی پرهیز نمائید.

¹¹“‘You shall not steal. “‘You shall not lie. “‘You shall not deceive one another.

¹¹بنام من قسم ناحق نخورید و نام مرا بی حرمت نسازید، چون من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

¹²“‘You shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of your God. I am Yahweh.

¹²به همنوع تان ضرر نرسانید و به مال او خیانت نکنید. مزد کارگری را که برای شما کار می کند در موقع معین بپردازید. حتی برای شب هم پیش خود نگاه ندارید.

¹³“‘You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. “‘The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

¹³به اشخاص کر دشنام ندهید و پیش پای مردمان کور سنگ نیندازید، بلکه از من بترسید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

¹⁴“‘You shall not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind; but you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.

¹⁴در قضاوت بی عدالتی نکنید. در بین نادار و ثروتمند فرقی قایل نشوید، بلکه با همه از روی انصاف و عدالت رفتار نمائید.

¹⁵“‘You shall do no injustice in judgment: you shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness.

¹⁵سخن چینی نکنید و با شایعات دروغ سبب مرگ کسی نشوید، زیرا من خداوند هستم.

¹⁶“‘You shall not go up and down as a slanderer among your people. “‘You shall not endanger the life literally, “blood” of your neighbor. I am Yahweh.

¹⁶کینه دل نباشید. اگر با کسی دعوائی داشته باشید از روی مصالحه دعوا را حل نمائید، مبادا بخاطر او گناهکار شوید.

¹⁷“‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

¹⁷از کسی انتقام نگیرید و از او نفرت نکنید، بلکه او را مثل جان خود دوست بدارید، زیرا من خداوند هستم.

¹⁸“‘You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh.

¹⁸احکام مرا بجا آورید. حیوانات خانگی را با حیوانات غیر همجنس آن ها وادار به نسل گیری نکنید. در زمین تان دو نوع تخم را نکارید و لباسی که می پوشید نباید از دو قسم پارچۀ مختلف باشد.

¹⁹“‘You shall keep my statutes. “‘You shall not crossbreed different kinds of animals. “‘you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; “‘neither shall there come upon on you a garment made of two kinds of material.

¹⁹اگر کسی با کنیزی که نامزد شخص دیگری است همبستر شود و آن کنیز بازخرید و یا آزاد نشده باشد، آن ها را نباید کشت، بلکه مجازات شوند، زیرا که آن زن آزاد نشده است.

²⁰“‘If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed, or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

²⁰و آن مرد باید قوچی را بعنوان قربانی جبران خطا به دَم دروازۀ خیمۀ عبادت بحضور خداوند بیاورد.

²¹He shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a trespass offering.

²¹و کاهن باید با آن قوچ برای او بحضور خداوند کفاره کند و به این ترتیب آن مرد از گناه پاک می شود و خداوند او را می آمرزد.

²²The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before Yahweh for his sin which he has committed: and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.

²²وقتی به سرزمین کنعان داخل شدید و هر قسم درختان میوه دار را که کاشتید، تا سه سال باید از میوۀ آن ها نخورید، زیرا شرعاً نجس محسوب می شود.

²³“‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. literally, “uncircumcised” Three years shall they be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.

²³در سال چهارم تمام میوه، بعنوان هدیۀ امتنان و شکرگزاری وقف خداوند شود.

²⁴But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to Yahweh.

²⁴اما در سال پنجم شما می توانید از میوۀ آن ها بخورید و اگر به همین طریق رفتار کنید ثمر فراوان می گیرید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

²⁵In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am Yahweh your God.

²⁵شما نباید گوشتی را که خون داشته باشد بخورید. از فالگیری و جادوگری خودداری کنید.

²⁶“‘You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it; neither shall you use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.

²⁶موهای شقیقه های تان را نتراشید و گوشه های ریش خود را نچینید.

²⁷“‘You shall not cut the hair on the sides of your heads, neither shall you clip off the edge of your beard.

²⁷در ماتم مرده ها بدن تان را زخمی نسازید و آنرا خالکوبی نکنید، زیرا من خداوند هستم.

²⁸“‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am Yahweh.

²⁸دختر تان را با وادار ساختن به فاحشه گری بی حرمت و بی عصمت نسازید. مبادا کشور شما پُر از زنا و شرارت گردد.

²⁹“‘Don’t profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.

²⁹شرایط و مقررات روز سَبَت مرا رعایت کنید و عبادتگاه مرا مقدس و محترم شمارید، زیرا من خداوند هستم.

³⁰“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am Yahweh.

³⁰از احضار کنندگاه ارواح مردگان و جادوگران کمک طلب نکنید، زیرا آن ها شما را آلوده و نجس می سازند، زیرا که من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

³¹“‘Don’t turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am Yahweh your God.

³¹در پیشروی شخص مو سفید بپا برخیز، به پیر مرد احترام کن و از خدای خود بترس. من خداوند هستم.

³²“‘You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God. I am Yahweh.

³²اگر یک شخص بیگانه یا مسافری در کشور تان زندگی می کند، به او آزار نرسانید

³³“‘If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.

³³با او مثل یک اسرائیلی رفتار کنید و مثل جان خود دوستش بدارید، زیرا خود شما یک وقتی در مصر بیگانه بودید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

³⁴The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.

³⁴همیشه پیرو عدالت و انصاف باشید. در وزن و پیمانه کسی را فریب ندهید.

³⁵“‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.

³⁵ترازو و سنگهای آن درست و شاهین آن راست باشند، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم و من شما را از مصر بیرون آوردم.تمام احکام و فرایض مرا بجا آورید، من خداوند هستم.»

³⁶You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, 1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel and a just hin. I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

³⁶تمام احکام و فرایض مرا بجا آورید، من خداوند هستم.»

³⁷“‘You shall observe all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them. I am Yahweh.’”
