1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1خداوند به موسی فرمود: «به قوم اسرائیل بگو که هر کسی، چه اسرائیلی باشد چه بیگانه ای که در بین آن ها زندگی می کند، اگر فرزندان خود را برای بت مولک قربانی کند، باید سنگسار شود.
2“Moreover, you shall tell the children of Israel, ‘Anyone of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners in Israel, who gives any of his seed to Molech; he shall surely be put to death. The people of the land shall stone him with stones.
2من خودم بر ضد او بر می خیزم و از بین قوم طردش می کنم، زیرا فرزندان خود را برای بت مولک قربانی کرده و با این کار خود عبادتگاه مرا آلوده و نام مقدس مرا بی حرمت نموده است.
3I also will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people because he has given of his seed to Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.
3و اگر مردم از گناه او چشم بپوشند و او را محکوم به مرگ نکنند،
4If the people of the land all hide their eyes from that person, when he gives of his seed to Molech, and don’t put him to death;
4آنوقت خودم بر ضد او و خانواده اش و همه کسان دیگری که با پرستش بت مولک به من خیانت کرده اند بر می خیزم و آن ها را از بین قوم طرد می کنم.
5then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all who play the prostitute after him, to play the prostitute with Molech, from among their people.
5اگر شخصی از ارواح مردگان و جادوگران کمک طلب کند، گناهکار است و من بر ضد او بر می خیزم و از بین قوم طردش می کنم.
6“‘The person that turns to those who are mediums, and to the wizards, to play the prostitute after them, I will even set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.
6پس خود را پاک و مقدس نگهدارید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.
7“‘Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am Yahweh your God.
7احکام مرا بجا آورید. من خداوند هستم و شما را پاک و مقدس می سازم.
8You shall keep my statutes, and do them. I am Yahweh who sanctifies you.
8هر کسی که پدر یا مادر خود را لعنت کند باید کشته شود و خونش به گردن خودش می باشد.
9“‘For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death: he has cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.
9اگر شخصی با زن شخص دیگری زنا کند، باید زن و مرد هر دو کشته شوند.
10“‘The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
10کسی که با زن پدر خود همبستر شود، به پدر خود بی حرمتی کرده است و هر دو باید کشته شوند و خون شان به گردن خود شان خواهد بود.
11“‘The man who lies with his father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
11هرگاه مردی با عروس خود زنا کند، هر دو باید کشته شوند، زیرا با محرم خود زنا کرده است و خون شان به گردن خود شان خواهد بود.
12“‘If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have committed a perversion; their blood shall be upon them.
12اگر مردی با مرد دیگری رابطۀ جنسی داشته باشد، هر دوی آن ها مرتکب کار زشتی شده اند و باید هر دو کشته شوند، خود شان مسئول مرگ خود خواهند بود.
13“‘If a man lies with a male, as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
13اگر کسی با مادر زن خود عروسی کند، گناه بزرگی را مرتکب شده است و هر سه را باید در آتش بسوزانند، تا این لکۀ بدنامی از دامن تان پاک شود.
14“‘If a man takes a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burned with fire, both he and they; that there may be no wickedness among you.
14اگر مردی با یک حیوان جماع کند، آن مرد با حیوان یکجا کشته شود.
15“‘If a man lies with an animal, he shall surely be put to death; and you shall kill the animal.
15همچنین اگر زنی با یک حیوان جماع کند، زن و حیوان هر دو باید کشته شوند و خون شان به گردن خود شان خواهد بود.
16“‘If a woman approaches any animal, and lies down with it, you shall kill the woman, and the animal: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
16اگر مردی با خواهر نا سکۀ خود عروسی کند و با او همبستر شود، چه دختر پدرش باشد چه دختر مادرش، کار بسیار زشتی کرده است و هر دو باید در برابر عموم مردم از بین قوم طرد گردند و آن مرد باید جزا ببیند، زیرا که با خواهر خود زنا کرده است.
17“‘If a man takes his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness; it is a shameful thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people: he has uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.
17اگر مردی با زنی که عادت ماهانه دارد همبستر شود، هر دو قانون شکنی کرده اند و باید از بین قوم طرد گردند.
18“‘If a man lies with a woman having her monthly period, and uncovers her nakedness; he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
18کسی نباید با عمه یا خالۀ خود همبستر شود، اگر چنین کند، هر دو باید به جزا برسند، چرا که با محرم خود زنا کرده اند.
19“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, nor of your father’s sister; for he has made naked his close relative: they shall bear their iniquity.
19اگر مردی با زن کاکای خود همبستر شود، به کاکای خود بی حرمتی کرده است. آن مرد و زن باید به سزای عمل شان برسند و بی اولاد خواهند مُرد.
20If a man lies with his uncle’s wife, he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.
20هرگاه مردی با زن برادر خود عروسی کند، به برادر خود بی احترامی کرده است و هر دو بی اولاد خواهند مُرد.
21“‘If a man takes his brother’s wife, it is an impurity: he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness; they shall be childless.
21شما باید همه احکام و فرایض مرا بجا آورید و به آن ها عمل کنید تا شما را از آن سرزمینی که به شما بخشیده ام طرد نکنم.
22“‘You shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them; that the land, where I am bringing you to dwell, may not vomit you out.
22و شما نباید از رسم و رواج آن مردمی که می خواهم آن ها را از آنجا برانم، پیروی کنید، زیرا آن ها کارهائی کردند که مورد نفرت من بودند.
23You shall not walk in the customs of the nation, which I am casting out before you: for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
23من به شما وعده داده ام که شما آن سرزمین با برکت و حاصلخیز را متصرف شوید. من خداوند، خدای شما هستم که شما را از اقوام جهان جدا کردم و برای خود برگزیدم.
24But I have said to you, “You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am Yahweh your God, who has separated you from the peoples.
24شما باید تشخیص کرده بتوانید که کدام حیوان یا پرنده شرعاً حلال است یا حرام. و شما نباید گوشت حیوان یا پرندۀ حرام را بخورید، زیرا من آن ها را حرام ساخته ام و خوردن آن ها شما را نجس می کند.
25“‘You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean: and you shall not make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean for you.
25شما باید برای من پاک و مقدس باشید، زیرا من، خداوند و مقدس هستم و شما را از اقوام دیگر جدا کردم تا قوم برگزیدۀ خود من باشید.مرد یا زنی که اَجِنَه را احضار می کند و یا جادوگر است باید سنگسار شود و خونش به گردن خودش خواهد بود.»
26You shall be holy to me: for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.
26مرد یا زنی که اَجِنَه را احضار می کند و یا جادوگر است باید سنگسار شود و خونش به گردن خودش خواهد بود.»
27“‘A man or a woman that is a medium, or is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.’”
