¹“‘You shall make for yourselves no idols, neither shall you raise up an engraved image or a pillar, neither shall you place any figured stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am Yahweh your God.

¹خداوند فرمود: «بتها، ستونهای سنگی و مجسمه های تراشیده برای پرستش نسازید، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.

²“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Yahweh.

²از مقررات سَبَت من پیروی کنید و به عبادتگاه من احترام بگذارید، زیرا من خداوند هستم.

³“‘If you walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

³اگر مطابق اوامر و احکام من رفتار کنید و آن ها را بجا آورید،

⁴then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

⁴آنوقت من باران را در موسمش برای شما می فرستم تا زمین محصول و درختان میوه بار آورند.

⁵Your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

⁵خِرمن تان آنقدر زیاد می شود که کوبیدن آن تا فصل چیدن انگور طول می کشد و حاصلات انگور شما بقدری فراوان می شود که تا موسم کِشت غله دوام می کند. خوراک فراوان می داشته باشید و در سرزمین تان در امنیت و رفاه زندگی می کنید.

⁶“‘I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and no one will make you afraid; and I will remove evil animals out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

⁶من در آنجا صلح را برقرار می سازم و بدون ترس و با خاطر جمع بخواب می روید. حیوانات خطرناک را از سرزمین تان محو می کنم و جنگ و خونریزی در آن رُخ نمی دهد.

⁷You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

⁷بر دشمنان غالب می شوید و با شمشیر شما هلاک می گردند.

⁸Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

⁸پنج نفر تان می توانند صد نفر را مغلوب سازند و صد نفر شما هزار نفر را شکست می دهند.

⁹“‘I will have respect for you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish my covenant with you.

⁹به شما برکت می دهم و فرزندان زیاد عطا می کنم و به قولی که داده ام وفا می نمایم.

¹⁰You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall move out the old because of the new.

¹⁰محصولات شما آنقدر زیاد می شوند که تا برداشتن محصول آینده باقی می مانند و نمی دانید که با آن غلۀ اضافگی چه کنید.

¹¹I will set my tent among you: and my soul won’t abhor you.

¹¹من در بین شما ساکن می شوم و هرگز شما را ترک نمی کنم.

¹²I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you will be my people.

¹²همیشه با شما می باشم. من خدای شما بوده و شما قوم برگزیدۀ من می باشید.

¹³I am Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright.

¹³من خداوند، خدای شما هستم که شما را از مصر بیرون آوردم تا دیگر غلام آن مردم نباشید. زنجیر غلامی را از پای تان و یوغ اسارت را از دوش شما برداشتم تا با سرفرازی زندگی کنید.

¹⁴“‘But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these commandments;

¹⁴اما اگر به من گوش ندهید،

¹⁵and if you shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhors my ordinances, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant;

¹⁵قوانین مرا رد کنید، اوامر مرا بجا نیاورید و پیمانی را که با شما بسته ام بشکنید، این طور جزا می بینید:

¹⁶I also will do this to you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away; and you will sow your seed in vain, for your enemies will eat it.

¹⁶بر سر شما بلای ناگهانی را می آورم. شما را به مرض بی درمان گرفتار می سازم. به تبی که چشمان تان را کور و عمر شما را کوتاه کند، مبتلا می شوید و دشمنان تان محصول زحمت شما را می خورند.

¹⁷I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you; and you will flee when no one pursues you.

¹⁷بر ضد شما بر می خیزم و شما را به دست دشمن مغلوب می سازم و بدخواهان تان بر شما حکومت می کنند. شما آنقدر وحشتزده می شوید که بدون اینکه کسی شما را تعقیب کند پا به فرار می گذارید.

¹⁸“‘If you in spite of these things will not listen to me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.

¹⁸اگر باز هم از من اطاعت نکنید سزای گناه تان را هفت چند می سازم.

¹⁹I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like brass;

¹⁹قدرت غرورآمیز شما را از بین می برم. باران بر زمین تان نمی بارد و در نتیجه زمین شما خشک و مانند فلز سخت می شود.

²⁰and your strength will be spent in vain; for your land won’t yield its increase, neither will the trees of the land yield their fruit.

²⁰نیروی خود را بیهوده از دست می دهید، زیرا زمین تان محصول و درختان شما میوه بار نمی آورند.

²¹“‘If you walk contrary to me, and won’t listen to me, then I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.

²¹اگر باز هم برخلاف میل من رفتار کنید و به من گوش ندهید، بلاهائی که بر سر شما می آورم هفت چند خواهند بود.

²²I will send the wild animals among you, which will rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your roads will become desolate.

²²جانوران خطرناک را در بین شما می فرستم تا اطفال تان را بکشند، رمه و گلۀ تان را از بین ببرند، نفوس تان کم شود و جاده های تان متروک گردند.

²³“‘If by these things you won’t be reformed to me, but will walk contrary to me;

²³اگر با وجود اینهمه مجازات بازهم به من توجه ننمائید و برخلاف رضای من رفتار کنید،

²⁴then I will also walk contrary to you; and I will strike you, even I, seven times for your sins.

²⁴آنوقت برضد شما بر می خیزم و خودم سزای گناه شما را هفت چند سخت تر می سازم.

²⁵I will bring a sword upon you, that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; and you will be gathered together within your cities: and I will send the pestilence among you; and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

²⁵اگر پیمان مرا بشکنید، از شما انتقام می گیرم و جنگ را برضد شما برپا می کنم و اگر برای حفاظت جانهای تان در شهرها بگریزید، بیماری های بی درمان را در بین شما شایع می کنم و شما را مغلوب دشمنان می سازم.

²⁶When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight: and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.

²⁶ذخیرۀ آرد شما را آنقدر کاهش میدهم که ده زن در یک تنور نان بپزند. و با جیره ای که به شما داده می شود سیر نشوید.

²⁷“‘If you in spite of this won’t listen to me, but walk contrary to me;

²⁷اگر باوجود اینهمه مجازات بازهم به من گوش ندهید از من اطاعت نکنید،

²⁸then I will walk contrary to you in wrath; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.

²⁸آنگاه من غضب خود را بر سر شما می آورم و سزای گناه تان را هفت چند سخت تر از پیشتر می کنم.

²⁹You will eat the flesh of your sons, and you will eat the flesh of your daughters.

²⁹از شدت گرسنگی گوشت فرزندان خود را می خورید.

³⁰I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you.

³⁰عبادتگاه های تانرا ویران می کنم، قربانگاه های شما را منهدم می سازم، جنازه های شما را بر بتهای بی جان تان می اندازم و از شما متنفر می شود.

³¹I will lay your cities waste, and will bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not take delight in the sweet fragrance of your offerings.

³¹شهرهای تان را به خرابه تبدیل می نمایم، معابد شما را خراب می کنم و قربانی های تان را نمی پذیرم.

³²I will bring the land into desolation; and your enemies that dwell therein will be astonished at it.

³²سرزمین تان را بکلی ویران می کنم تا دشمنان تان که در آن ها جاگزین می شوند تباهی آن ها را ببینند و حیران شوند.

³³I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you: and your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.

³³شما را در بین اقوام جهان پراگنده می سازم، جنگ را بر سر شما می آورم، شهرهای تان را ویران و از سکنه خالی می گردانم.

³⁴Then the land will enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths.

³⁴آنوقت زمین های تان را که شما موقع ندادید استراحت کنند، تا زمانی که در سرزمین دشمن اسیر هستید متروک می باشند و استراحت می کنند.

³⁵As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it didn’t have in your sabbaths, when you lived on it.

³⁵و شما که به سرزمین های دشمن به اسارت رفته اید از صدای برگی که در اثر وزش باد بر روی زمین حرکت می کند به وحشت می افتید و مانند کسی که از ترس شمشیر دشمن بگریزد، پا به فرار می گذارید و بر زمین می افتید.

³⁶“‘As for those of you who are left, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf will put them to flight; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword; and they will fall when no one pursues.

³⁶در وقت فرار بر یکدیگر می افتید، در حالیکه کسی در تعقیب شما نیست، مثل کسی که از جنگ بگریزد، فرار می کنید و مقاومت خود را در برابر دشمن از دست می دهید.

³⁷They will stumble over one another, as it were before the sword, when no one pursues: and you will have no power to stand before your enemies.

³⁷در اسارت می میرید و در دیار دشمنان تان بخاک می روید.

³⁸You will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will eat you up.

³⁸و کسانی که در سرزمین دشمن باقی بمانند بخاطر گناهان خود و اجداد شان هلاک می شوند.

³⁹Those of you who are left will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

³⁹اما اگر به گناهان خود و گناهان اجداد خود که به من خیانت کردند و در مقابل من سرکشی نمودند،

⁴⁰“‘If they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary to me,

⁴⁰مرا مجبور ساختند که بر ضد آن ها برخیزم و آن ها را به سرزمین های دشمنان شان تبعید کنم، اعتراف نمایند، در حضور من سر تواضع خم کنند و مجازات خود را قبول نمایند،

⁴¹I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies: if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity;

⁴¹آنوقت پیمان خود را که با یعقوب و اسحاق و ابراهیم بسته بودم بیاد می آورم و به فکر سرزمین آن ها می افتم.

⁴²then I will remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.

⁴²اما اولتر، باید آن سرزمین خالی شود تا از آسایش و استراحت کامل برخوردار گردد و بخاطری که قوانین و احکام مرا رد کردند باید مجازات شوند.

⁴³The land also will be left by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them: and they will accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they rejected my ordinances, and their soul abhorred my statutes.

⁴³ولی با اینهم، آن ها را در سرزمین دشمنان شان بکلی ترک نمی کنم، از بین نمی برم و پیمان خود را نمی شکنم، زیرا من خداوند، خدای شان هستم.

⁴⁴Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God;

⁴⁴پیمان خود را که با اجداد آن ها بسته بودم بیاد می آورم، زیرا من با قدرت خود آن ها را در برابر چشمان مردم مصر از آن سرزمین بیرون آوردم، تا من خداوند، خدای آن ها باشم.»اینها قوانین و احکامی اند که خداوند در کوه سینا ذریعۀ موسی به قوم اسرائیل داد.

⁴⁵but I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Yahweh.’”

⁴⁵اینها قوانین و احکامی اند که خداوند در کوه سینا ذریعۀ موسی به قوم اسرائیل داد.

⁴⁶These are the statutes, ordinances and laws, which Yahweh made between him and the children of Israel in Mount Sinai by Moses.
