¹He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!

¹عیسی به شاگردان خود فرمود: «از روبرو شدن با وسوسه ها گریزی نیست اما وای بحال آن کس که سبب وسوسه می شود.

² It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

²برای او بهتر است که با سنگ آسیابی به دور گردن خود به دریا انداخته شود از این که یکی از این کوچکان را گمراه کند.

³ Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him.

³متوجه باشید! اگر برادرت به تو بدی کند او را سرزنش کن و اگر توبه کند او را ببخش.

⁴ If he sins against you seven times in the day, and seven times returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”

⁴حتی اگر روزی هفت بار به تو بدی کند و هفت بار پیش تو بیاید و بگوید: «توبه کردم»، او را ببخش.»

⁵The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

⁵رسولان به عیسی خداوند عرض کردند: «ایمان ما را زیاد کن.»

⁶The Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

⁶خداوند جواب داد: «اگر شما به اندازۀ دانۀ اوری ای ایمان می داشتید می توانستید به این درخت توت بگویید: «از ریشه در بیا و در دریا کاشته شو.» و از شما اطاعت می کرد.

⁷ But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down at the table,’

⁷فرض کنید یکی از شما غلامی دارد که قلبه می کند یا از گوسفندان پاسداری می کند. وقتی از مزرعه برگردد آیا او به آن غلام خواهد گفت: «فورأ بیا و بنشین؟»

⁸ and will not rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?

⁸آیا به عوض آن نخواهد گفت: «نان مرا حاضر کن، کمرت را ببند و تا من می خورم و می نوشم خدمت کن، بعد می توانی غذای خودت را بخوری؟»

⁹ Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.

⁹و آیا او از آن غلام به خاطر آنکه اوامرش را اجراء کرده است ممنون خواهد بود؟

¹⁰ Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”

¹⁰در مورد شما هم همینطور است، هرگاه تمام اوامری را که به شما داده شده بجا آورید بگوئید: ما غلامانی بیش نیستیم، فقط وظیفۀ خود را انجام داده ایم.»

¹¹It happened as he was on his way to Jerusalem, that he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.

¹¹عیسی در سفر خود به سوی اورشلیم از سرحد بین سامره و جلیل می گذشت.

¹²As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.

¹²هنگامی که می خواست به دهکده ای وارد شود با ده نفر جذامی روبرو شد. آنها دور ایستادند

¹³They lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

¹³و فریاد کردند: «ای عیسی، ای استاد، به ما رحم کن.»

¹⁴When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁴وقتی عیسی آنها را دید فرمود: «بروید و خود را به کاهنان نشان بدهید.» و همچنانکه می رفتند پاک گشتند.

¹⁵One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.

¹⁵یکی از ایشان وقتی دید شفا یافته است در حالی که خدا را با صدای بلند حمد می گفت بازگشت

¹⁶He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁶و خود را پیش پاهای عیسی انداخت و از او سپاسگزاری کرد. این شخص یک سامری بود.

¹⁷Jesus answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

¹⁷عیسی در این خصوص فرمود: «مگر هر ده نفر پاک نشدند؟ پس آن نُه نفر دیگر کجا هستند؟

¹⁸ Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this stranger?”

¹⁸آیا غیر از این بیگانه کسی نبود که برگردد و خدا را حمد گوید؟»

¹⁹Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”

¹⁹به آن مرد فرمود: «برخیز و برو، ایمانت تو را شفا داده است.»

²⁰Being asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The Kingdom of God doesn’t come with observation;

²⁰پیروان فرقۀ فریسی از او سؤال کردند که پادشاهی خدا کی خواهد آمد. عیسی در جواب فرمود: «پادشاهی خدا طوری نمی آید که بتوان آن را مشاهده کرد

²¹ neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.”

²¹و کسی نخواهد گفت که، آن در اینجا یا در آنجا است، چون در حقیقت پادشاهی خدا در میان خود شماست.»

²²He said to the disciples, “The days will come, when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

²²به شاگردان فرمود: «زمانی خواهد آمد که شما آرزوی دیدن یکی از روزهای پسر انسان را خواهید داشت اما آن را نخواهید دید.

²³ They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away, nor follow after them,

²³به شما خواهند گفت که به اینجا یا آنجا نگاه کنید. شما به دنبال آنها نروید،

²⁴ for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the sky, shines to the other part under the sky; so will the Son of Man be in his day.

²⁴زیرا پسر انسان در روز خود مانند برق که از این سر آسمان تا آن سر آسمان می درخشد خواهد بود.

²⁵ But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

²⁵اما لازم است که او اول رنجهای بسیار را بکشد و از طرف مردم این روزگار رد شود.

²⁶ As it happened in the days of Noah, even so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man.

²⁶زمان پسر انسان مانند روزگار نوح خواهد بود.

²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

²⁷مردم تا روزی که نوح وارد کشتی شد و سیل آمده همه را نابود کرد می خوردند و می نوشیدند، زن می گرفتند و شوهر می کردند.

²⁸ Likewise, even as it happened in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

²⁸همچنین مانند زمان لوط خواهد بود که مردم می خوردند و می نوشیدند و به خرید و فروش و کشت و کار و خانه سازی مشغول بودند.

²⁹ but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.

²⁹اما در روزی که لوط از سدوم بیرون آمد آتش و سنگ گوگرد از آسمان بارید و همه را از بین برد.

³⁰ It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

³⁰روزی که پسر انسان ظهور کند مانند آن روزگار خواهد بود.

³¹ In that day, he who will be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away. Let him who is in the field likewise not turn back.

³¹در آن روز مردی که در پشت بام است و دارائی اش در خانه می باشد نباید برای بردن آن ها پایین بیاید. همچنین کسی که در مزرعه است نباید برگردد.

³² Remember Lot’s wife!

³²زن لوط را بیاد داشته باشید!

³³ Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.

³³هر که برای نجات جان خود بکوشد آن را از دست می دهد و هر که جان خود را فدا کند آن را نجات خواهد داد.

³⁴ I tell you, in that night there will be two people in one bed. The one will be taken, and the other will be left.

³⁴بدانید که در آن شب از دو نفر که در یک بستر هستند یکی را می برند و دیگری را می گذارند.

³⁵ There will be two grinding grain together. One will be taken, and the other will be left.”

³⁵از دو زن که با هم دستاس می کنند یکی را می برند و دیگری را می گذارند.

³⁶ Some Greek manuscripts add: “Two will be in the field: the one taken, and the other left.”

³⁶از دو مردی که در مزرعه باشند یکی برداشته می شود و دیگری در جای خود می ماند.»وقتی آن ها این را شنیدند پرسیدند: «کجا ای خداوند؟» او فرمود: «هر جا لاشه ای باشد لاشخورها جمع می شوند.»

³⁷They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the body is, there will the vultures also be gathered together.”

³⁷وقتی آن ها این را شنیدند پرسیدند: «کجا ای خداوند؟» او فرمود: «هر جا لاشه ای باشد لاشخورها جمع می شوند.»
