1The princes of the people lived in Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities.
1رهبران قوم در شهر مقدس اورشلیم ساکن شدند. از سایر مردم نیز یکدهم به قید قرعه انتخاب شدند تا در اورشلیم سکونت اختیار کنند و بقیه در شهرهای دیگر سکونت گزیدند.
2The people blessed all the men who willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.
2ضمناً کسانی که داوطلبانه به اورشلیم می آمدند تا در آنجا زندگی کنند، مورد ستایش مردم قرار می گرفتند.
3Now these are the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah everyone lived in his possession in their cities: Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon’s servants.
3سایر مردم همراه با عده ای از کاهنان، لاویان، خادمان عبادتگاه و اولادۀ خادمان سلیمان پادشاه، در املاک پدری خود در شهرهای دیگر یهودا باقی ماندند.

4In Jerusalem lived certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez;
4از قبیلۀ یهودا: عَتایا (عَتایا پسر عُزیا، عُزیا پسر زِکَریا، زِکَریا پسر اَمَریا، اَمَریا پسر شِفَطیا، شِفَطیا پسر مَهللئیل و مَهللئیل از اولادۀ فارَص بود)؛ مَعَسیا (مَعَسیا پسر باروک، باروک پسر کُلحوزه، کُلحوزه پسر حَزیا، حَزیا پسر عدایا، عدایا پسر یُویاریب، یُویاریب پسر زِکَریا و زِکَریا پسر شیلونی بود). مجموعاً چهارصد و شصت و هشت نفر از بزرگان اولادۀ فارَص در اورشلیم زندگی می کردند.
5and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.
5از قبیلۀ بنیامین: سَلو (سَلو پسر مَشُلام، مَشُلام پسر یُوعید، یُوعید پسر فَدایا، فَدایا پسر قولایا، قولایا پسر مَعَسیا، مَعَسیا پسر ایتیئیل و ایتیئیل پسر اشعیا بود)؛ و بعد از سَلو، جَبای و سَلای. مجموعاً نهصد و بیست و هشت نفر از قبیلۀ بنیامین در اورشلیم زندگی می کردند. سرکردۀ آن ها یوئیل پسر زِکری و معاون او یهودا پسر هَسنواه بود.
6All the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were four hundred sixty-eight valiant men.
6از کاهنان: یَدَعیا (پسر یُویاریب) و یاکین؛ سَرایا (سَرایا پسر حِلقیا، حِلقیا پسر مَشُلام، مَشُلام پسر صادوق، صادوق پسر مِرایوت و مِرایوت پسر اَخِیطُوب کاهن اعظم بود). افراد این خاندان مجموعاً هشتصد و بیست و دو نفر بودند و در عبادتگاه خدمت می کردند. عدایا (عدایا پسر یِروحَم، یِروحَم پسر فَلَلیا، فَلَلیا پسر اَمصی، اَمصی پسر زِکَریا، زِکَریا پسر فَشحور و فَشحور پسر مَلکیا بود). افراد این خاندان جمعاً دوصد و چهل و دو نفر بودند و بعنوان سرکردگان خاندانها محسوب می شدند. عَمشیسای (عَمشیسای پسر عَزرئیل، عَزرئیل پسر اَخزای، اَخزای پسر مِشُلیموت و مِشُلیموت پسر اِمیر بود). افراد این خاندان یکصد و بیست و هشت نفر بودند و همگی آن ها جنگجویان شجاعی بودند. آن ها زیر نظر زَبدی ئیل (پسر هجدولیم) خدمت می کردند.
7These are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah.
7از لاویان: شِمَعیه (شِمَعیه پسر حَشوب، حَشوب پسر عزریقام، عزریقام پسر حَشَبیا و حَشَبیا پسر بونی بود)؛ شَبتای و یُوزاباد (این دو نفر از سران لاویان بودند و کارهای خارج از عبادتگاه را انجام می دادند)؛ مَتَنیا (مَتَنیا پسر میکا، میکا پسر زَبدی و زَبدی پسر آساف بود). او سرکردۀ سرایندگان عبادتگاه بود و مراسم عبادت را رهبری می کرد؛ بَقبُقیا (معاون مَتَنیا)؛ عَبدا (عَبدا پسر شَموع، شَموع پسر جِلال و جِلال پسر یدوتون بود).

8رویهم رفته دوصد و هشتاد و چهار لاوی در شهر مقدس اورشلیم زندگی می کردند.
9Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer; and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second over the city.
9از نگهبانان: عَقوب، طَلمون و خویشاوندان آن ها که جمعاً یکصد و هفتاد و دو نفر بودند.
10Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin,
10سایر کاهنان و لاویان و بقیۀ قوم اسرائیل در املاک آبائی خود در شهرهای دیگر یهودا ماندند.
11Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of God’s house,
11خادمان عبادتگاه (که سرکردۀ آن ها صیحا و جِشفا بودند) در قسمتی از شهر اورشلیم بنام عوفل زندگی می کردند.
12and their brothers who did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty-two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,
12سرکردۀ لاویان اورشلیم که در عبادتگاه خدمت می کردند، عُزی بود. (عُزی پسر بانی، بانی پسر حَشَبیا، حَشَبیا پسر مَتَنیا، مَتَنیا پسر میکا و میکا از اولادۀ آساف بود. سرایندگان عبادتگاه از خاندان آساف بودند).
13and his brothers, chiefs of fathers’ households, two hundred forty-two; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,
13خدمت روزانۀ دستۀ سرایندگان طبق مقرراتی که از طرف دربار وضع شده بود، تعیین می شد.
14and their brothers, mighty men of valor, one hundred twenty-eight; and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.
14فَتَحیا (پسر مِشیزَبئیل، از اولادۀ زِرَح پسر یهودا) نمایندۀ مردم اسرائیل در دربار پادشاه فارس بود.
15Of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;
15شهرها و دهات دیگری که مردم یهودا در آن ها زندگی می کردند، عبارت بودند از: قریه اَربع، دیبون، یَقَبصی ئیل و دهات اطراف آن ها؛ یشوع، مولاده، بیت فالط، حَزر شوعل، بئرشِبع و دهات اطراف آن؛ صِقلَغ، مَکونه و دهات اطراف آن؛ عین رِمون، زُرعه، یرموت، زانوح، عَدُلام و دهات اطراف آن ها؛ لاکیش و نواحی اطراف آن، عزیقه و دهات اطراف آن. به این ترتیب، مردم یهودا در ناحیۀ بین بئرشِبع و درۀ هِنوم زندگی می کردند.
16and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who had the oversight of the outward business of God’s house;
16اهالی قبیلۀ بنیامین در این شهرها سکونت داشتند: جِبَع، مِخماس، عَیا، بیت ئیل و دهات اطراف آن؛ عَناتوت، نوب، عَننیا، حاصور، رامه، جِتایم، حادید، زِبُیم، نَبَلاط، لُود، اونو و درۀ صنعتگران.بعضی از لاویان که در سرزمین یهودا بودند، به سرزمین بنیامین فرستاده شدند تا در آنجا ساکن شوند.
17and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brothers; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
17بعضی از لاویان که در سرزمین یهودا بودند، به سرزمین بنیامین فرستاده شدند تا در آنجا ساکن شوند.
18All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.
19Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brothers, who kept watch at the gates, were one hundred seventy-two.
20The residue of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, everyone in his inheritance.
21But the Nethinim lived in Ophel: and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim.
22The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the business of God’s house.
23For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.
24Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people.
25As for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah lived in Kiriath Arba and its towns, and in Dibon and its towns, and in Jekabzeel and its villages,
26and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and Beth Pelet,
27and in Hazar Shual, and in Beersheba and its towns,
28and in Ziklag, and in Meconah and in its towns,
29and in En Rimmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth,
30Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, Azekah and its towns. So they encamped from Beersheba to the valley of Hinnom.
31The children of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash and Aija, and at Bethel and its towns,
32at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
34Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
36Of the Levites, certain divisions in Judah settled in Benjamin’s territory.
