1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1خداوند به موسی فرمود: «دو شیپور از نقره بساز و از آن ها برای جمع کردن و کوچ دادن قوم اسرائیل کار بگیر.
2“Make two trumpets of silver. You shall make them of beaten work. You shall use them for the calling of the congregation, and for the journeying of the camps.
2هرگاهی که هر دو شیپور نواخته شوند همۀ مردم اسرائیل باید در پیشروی دروازۀ دخول خیمۀ حضور خداوند اجتماع کنند.
3When they blow them, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the door of the Tent of Meeting.
3اما وقتیکه یک شیپور نواخته شود، آنگاه تنها سرکردگان قبایل اسرائیل پیش تو جمع شوند.
4If they blow just one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves to you.
4وقتی شیپور کوچ نواخته شود، قبایلی که در سمت شرق خیمۀ حضور خداوند هستند کوچ کنند.
5When you blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall go forward.
5دفعۀ دوم که شیپور نواخته شود قبایل سمت جنوب خیمه حرکت کنند.
6When you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall go forward. They shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
6شیپورها باید با آواز های مختلف نواخته شوند تا مردم بتوانند تشخیص بدهند که جمع شوند و یا کوچ کنند.
7But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.
7و تنها پسران هارون که کاهن هستند باید شیپورها را بنوازند و این یک قانون همیشگی است که باید شما و نسلهای آیندۀ شما آنرا رعایت کنید.
8“The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. This shall be to you for a statute forever throughout your generations.
8وقتی در سرزمين خود، برای جنگ علیه دشمنانی که بر شما حمله می کنند، بروید، آنوقت باید شیپورها را بنوازید و خداوند، خدای شما به داد شما رسیده از دست دشمنان نجات تان می بخشد.
9When you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets. Then you will be remembered before Yahweh your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.
9همچنین در روزهای خوشی، یعنی در مراسم تجلیل عید، اول هر ماه و در وقت تقدیم کردن قربانی های سوختنی و قربانی های سلامتی هم این شیپورها را بنوازید تا شما را بیاد من بیاورند. من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.»
10“Also in the day of your gladness, and in your set feasts, and in the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God. I am Yahweh your God.”
10در بیستم ماه دوم سال دوم، ابر از بالای خیمۀ حضور خداوند حرکت کرد.
11It happened in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.
11قوم اسرائیل هم به ترتیب از بیابان سینا بدنبال آن براه افتادند تا اینکه ابر در بیابان فاران توقف نمود.
12The children of Israel went forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud stayed in the wilderness of Paran.
12بعد از آنکه خداوند هدایات لازمه را دربارۀ کوچ کردن به موسی داد، این اولین سفر آن ها بود.
13They first went forward according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.
13قبیلۀ یهودا، زیر بیرق خود و به رهبری نحشون، پسر عمیناداب اولتر براه افتاد.
14First, the standard of the camp of the children of Judah went forward according to their armies. Nahshon the son of Amminadab was over his army.
14بعد قبیلۀ ایسَسکار به سرکردگی نتنائیل، پسر صوغر حرکت کرد.
15Nethanel the son of Zuar was over the army of the tribe of the children of Issachar.
15سپس قبیلۀ زبولون به رهبری اِلیاب، پسر حیلون روانه شد.
16Eliab the son of Helon was over the army of the tribe of the children of Zebulun.
16وقتی که خیمۀ حضور خداوند را پائین کردند، جرشونی ها و مِراری ها، از قبیلۀ لاوی، که مسئول حمل آن بودند خیمه را برداشتند و براه افتادند.
17The tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the tabernacle, went forward.
17پس از آن قبیلۀ رؤبین، زیر بیرق خود و به سرکردگی اَلیصور، پسر شَدیئور کوچ کرد.
18The standard of the camp of Reuben went forward according to their armies. Elizur the son of Shedeur was over his army.
18پشت سر آن ها قبیلۀ شمعون به رهبری شلومی ئیل، پسر صوریشدای براه افتاد.
19Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai was over the army of the tribe of the children of Simeon.
19بدنبال آن ها قبیلۀ جاد به سرکردگی اَلیاساف، پسر دعویل رفت.
20Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the army of the tribe of the children of Gad.
20آنگاه قُهاتی ها آمادۀ حرکت شدند و سامان و لوازم مقدس را برداشته براه افتادند. (خیمۀ حضور خداوند می بایست پیش از رسیدن آن ها برپا شود.)
21The Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary. The others set up the tabernacle before they arrived.
21سپس قبیلۀ افرایم زیر بیرق خود و به سرکردگی الیشمع، پسر عمیهود حرکت کرد.
22The standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies. Elishama the son of Ammihud was over his army.
22بعد از آن نوبت قبیلۀ مَنَسّی رسید که به رهبری جَملی ئیل، پسر فَدَهسور کوچ کند.
23Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur was over the army of the tribe of the children of Manasseh.
23به تعقیب آن ها قبیلۀ بنیامین به رهبری اَبیدان، پسر جِدعونی حرکت کرد.
24Abidan the son of Gideoni was over the army of the tribe of the children of Benjamin.
24پشت سر آن ها قبیلۀ دان زیر بیرق خود و به سرکردگی اَخیعَزَر، پسر عمیشدای براه افتاد.
25The standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rear guard of all the camps, set forward according to their armies. Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai was over his army.
25سپس قبیلۀ اَشیر به سرکردگی فَجعیئیل، پسر عُکران،
26Pagiel the son of Ochran was over the army of the tribe of the children of Asher.
26و در اخیر قبیلۀ نفتالی به رهبری اَخیرَع، پسر عینان حرکت کرد.
27Ahira the son of Enan was over the army of the tribe of the children of Naphtali.
27این بود ترتیب سفر قبایل اسرائیل.
28Thus were the travels of the children of Israel according to their armies; and they went forward.
28موسی به خسربُرۀ خود، حوباب، پسر رعوئیل مدیانی گفت: «ما می خواهیم به آن جائی سفر کنیم که خداوند وعدۀ ملکیت آن را به ما داده است. تو هم با ما برو و از تو بخوبی نگهداری می کنیم، خداوند به قوم اسرائیل وعده های بسیار خوب داده است.»
29Moses said to Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are journeying to the place of which Yahweh said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well; for Yahweh has spoken good concerning Israel.”
29اما او در جواب موسی گفت: «من نمی روم و میخواهم به وطن خود و پیش خویشاوندان خود برگردم.»
30He said to him, “I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my relatives.”
30موسی گفت: «خواهش می کنم ما را ترک مکن. تو در این بیابان بلدیت داری و برای ما راهنمای خوبی هستی.
31He said, “Don’t leave us, please; because you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes.
31اگر همراه ما بروی، برکاتی که خدا به ما می دهد، نصیب تو هم می شود.»
32It shall be, if you go with us, yes, it shall be, that whatever good Yahweh does to us, we will do the same to you.”
32پس آن ها در حالیکه صندوق پیمان خداوند پیشاپیش شان حرکت می کرد از کوه خداوند مدت سه روز راه پیمودند تا به جائی رسیدند که برای توقف شان تعیین شده بود.
33They set forward from the Mount of Yahweh three days’ journey. The ark of the covenant of Yahweh went before them three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place for them.
33و هر وقتی که سفر می کردند، ابر خداوند در ظرف روز بالای سر شان سایه می انداخت.
34The cloud of Yahweh was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.
34هرگاه صندوق پیمان حرکت می کرد موسی می گفت: «ای خداوند، برخیز، دشمنانت پراگنده شوند و بدخواهانت از حضورت فرار کنند.»وقتیکه صندوق پیمان توقف می نمود، موسی می گفت: «ای خداوند، پیش هزاران هزار اسرائیلی برگرد.»
35It happened, when the ark went forward, that Moses said, “Rise up, Yahweh, and let your enemies be scattered! Let those who hate you flee before you!”
35وقتیکه صندوق پیمان توقف می نمود، موسی می گفت: «ای خداوند، پیش هزاران هزار اسرائیلی برگرد.»
36When it rested, he said, “Return, Yahweh, to the ten thousands of the thousands of Israel.”
