1Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.
1مریم و هارون موسی را بخاطری که با یک زن حبشی عروسی کرده بود سرزنش نمودند
2They said, “Has Yahweh indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn’t he spoken also with us?” And Yahweh heard it.
2و گفتند: «آیا خداوند تنها بوسیلۀ موسی سخن گفته است؟ آیا بوسیلۀ ما هم سخن نگفته است؟» و خداوند حرف آن ها را شنید.
3Now the man Moses was very humble, above all the men who were on the surface of the earth.
3(موسی متواضعترین شخص روی زمین بود.)
4Yahweh spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, “You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!” The three of them came out.
4خداوند به آن ها فرمود که هر سه نفرِ شان فوراً در خیمۀ حضور خداوند حاضر شوند. پس هر سه آن ها بحضور خداوند رفتند.
5Yahweh came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward.
5آنگاه خداوند در یک ستون ابر نازل شد و در پیش دروازۀ خیمه ایستاد و فرمود: «هارون و مریم پیش بیایند.» و آن ها پیش رفتند.
6He said, “Hear now my words. If there is a prophet among you, I Yahweh will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.
6خداوند فرمود: «حرف مرا بشنوید؛ اگر بخواهم با یک نبی حرف بزنم با او در رؤیا و خواب صحبت می کنم،
7My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.
7اما چون موسی بندۀ وفادار من است و با کمال صداقت خدمت قوم برگزیدۀ مرا می کند، با او روبرو و آشکارا حرف می زنم نه با رمز. او تجلی مرا می بیند. پس چطور جرأت کردید و بندۀ من، موسی را سرزنش نمودید؟»
8With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see Yahweh’s form. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?”
8آنگاه شعلۀ خشم خداوند بر آن ها افروخته شد و آن ها را ترک کرد.
9The anger of Yahweh was kindled against them; and he departed.
9و وقتی که ابر از بالای خیمه برخاست، تمام بدن مریم از مرض بَرَص سفید شد. چون هارون مریم را به آن وضع دید،
10The cloud departed from over the Tent; and behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.
10به موسی گفت: «آقای من، ما را بخاطر این کار ما جزا مده؛ ما از روی حماقت گناه کردیم.
11Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.
11نگذار که مریم مثل طفلی شود که مرده بدنیا می آید و نیم بدنش پوسیده است.»
12Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”
12پس موسی بحضور خداوند زاری و دعا کرد و گفت: «خدایا، از دربار تو التجا می کنم که او را شفا بدهی.»
13Moses cried to Yahweh, saying, “Heal her, God, I beg you!”
13خداوند به موسی فرمود: «اگر پدرش بروی او تف می انداخت آیا برای هفت روز خجل نمی بود؟ پس برای هفت روز در بیرون اردوگاه تنها بماند و بعد از آن می تواند برگردد.»
14Yahweh said to Moses, “If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn’t she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.”
14بنابران مریم مدت هفت روز در بیرون اردوگاه بسر برد و قوم اسرائیل تا زمان بازگشت مریم از سفر دست کشیدند.وقتی او برگشت، مردم از حزیروت کوچ کردند در بیابان فاران اردو زدند.
15Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people didn’t travel until Miriam was brought in again.
15وقتی او برگشت، مردم از حزیروت کوچ کردند در بیابان فاران اردو زدند.
16Afterward the people traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.
