1Doesn’t wisdom cry out? Doesn’t understanding raise her voice?
1حکمت شما را دعوت می کند و عقل سلیم شما را به سوی خود می خواند.
2On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands.
2در جاهای بلند، در کنار جاده ها و سر چهار راه ها ایستاده است.
3Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entry doors, she cries aloud:
3کنار دروازۀ شهرها و در پیشروی خانه ها فریاد می زند:
4“To you men, I call! I send my voice to the sons of mankind.
4«ای مردان، به شما و همچنین به تمام بشر می گویم.
5You simple, understand prudence. You fools, be of an understanding heart.
5اگر جاهل هستید یاد بگیرید تا عاقل شوید. اگر نادان هستید یاد بگیرید تا دانا شوید.
6Hear, for I will speak excellent things. The opening of my lips is for right things.
6گوش بدهید، چونکه سخنانم بسیار عالی و آنچه می گویم کاملاً درست است.
7For my mouth speaks truth. Wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
7آنچه می گویم حقیقت دارد، زیرا از دروغ متنفرم.
8All the words of my mouth are in righteousness. There is nothing crooked or perverse in them.
8هر چه می گویم حقیقت است و هیچ بدی و فریب در آن نیست.
9They are all plain to him who understands, right to those who find knowledge.
9برای مردم دانا و فهمیده کاملاً روشن و آشکار است.
10Receive my instruction rather than silver; knowledge rather than choice gold.
10تعلیمات من با ارزشتر از نقره و علم من برتر از طلا است.
11For wisdom is better than rubies. All the things that may be desired can’t be compared to it.
11ارزش حکمت از جواهرات بیشتر است و هیچ چیزی در دنیا نیست که بتوانی با آن مقایسه کنی.
12“I, wisdom, have made prudence my dwelling. Find out knowledge and discretion.
12حکمت و خردمندی دو یار موافق هستند.
13The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.
13اگر کسی به خداوند احترام داشته باشد، بدون شک از شرارت نفرت دارد، زیرا که حکمت از تکبر، غرور، فساد و هر نوع فریبکاری متنفر است.
14Counsel and sound knowledge are mine. I have understanding and power.
14من که حکمت هستم، شما را هدایت می کنم و به شما خردمندی می بخشم.
15By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
15با کمک من پادشاهان سلطنت می کنند و فرمانروایان با نیروی من عادلانه فرمان می دهند.
16By me princes rule; nobles, and all the righteous rulers of the earth.
16تمام حکمرانان جهان با کمک من حکمرانی می کنند. مردمان شریف و فرمانداران از من کمک می گیرند.
17I love those who love me. Those who seek me diligently will find me.
17کسانی که مرا دوست دارند، من هم آن ها را دوست دارم و هر که به جستجوی من باشد، حتماً مرا خواهد یافت.
18With me are riches, honor, enduring wealth, and prosperity.
18ثروت و عزت، سعادت و موفقیت نزد من است
19My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold; my yield than choice silver.
19بخشش های من، از طلای ناب بهتر و از نقرۀ خالص گرانبهاتر است.
20I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice;
20در راه حق قدم می بردارم و طریق انصاف را می پیمایم.
21That I may give wealth to those who love me. I fill their treasuries.
21به کسانی که مرا دوست دارند ثروت می بخشم و انبارهای آن ها را پُر می کنم.
22“Yahweh possessed me in the beginning of his work, before his deeds of old.
22خداوند، در زمانهای خیلی قدیم، قبل از هر چیز مرا آفرید و من، اولین مخلوق خداوند هستم.
23I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth existed.
23از ازل، پیش از آنکه جهان آفریده شود، من وجود داشتم.
24When there were no depths, I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water.
24قبل از آنکه اقیانوسها بوجود آیند، قبل از آنکه چشمه های آب بروی زمین جاری شوند، من وجود داشته ام.
25Before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was brought forth;
25قبل از آنکه کوهها خلق شوند، پیش از اینکه تپه ها بوجود آیند، من بدنیا آمدم.
26while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
26قبل از اینکه خدا زمین و صحراها و حتی ذرات خاک زمین را خلق کند، من وجود داشتم.
27When he established the heavens, I was there; when he set a circle on the surface of the deep,
27وقتی که او آسمان را خلق می کرد و افق را بروی اقیانوسها می گسترانید، من آنجا بودم.
28when he established the clouds above, when the springs of the deep became strong,
28وقتی که او ابر ها را در آسمان قرار می داد و چشمه ها را در اعماق زمین باز می کرد،
29when he gave to the sea its boundary, that the waters should not violate his commandment, when he marked out the foundations of the earth;
29زمانی که حدود اقیانوسها را تعیین می کرد تا آبها از حدود خود تجاوز نکنند و زمانی که زمین را بنیاد می نهاد، من آنجا بودم.
30then I was the craftsman by his side. I was a delight day by day, always rejoicing before him,
30من مانند یک معمار در حضور او و سرچشمۀ خوشی همیشگی او بودم. همه وقت در حضور او خوشحالی می کردم و از جهان و از مردمش خشنود بودم.
31Rejoicing in his whole world. My delight was with the sons of men.
31حال ای پسران من، گوش کنید: آنچه می گویم انجام دهید تا خوشی تان کامل شود.
32“Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.
32به نصایح من توجه کنید. عاقل باشید و از آن ها سرپیچی منمائید.
33Hear instruction, and be wise. Don’t refuse it.
33کسانی که به سخنان من گوش می دهند، و کسانی که هر روز در مقابل خانۀ من می ایستند و بیرون دروازه، انتظار می کشند، خوشبخت هستند.
34Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts.
34کسی که مرا به دست می آورد، زندگی حقیقی را پیدا می کند و خداوند از او خشنود خواهد شد.کسی که مرا از دست می دهد، به خود صدمه می زند. کسی که از من نفرت دارد، مرگ را دوست می دارد.»
35For whoever finds me, finds life, and will obtain favor from Yahweh.
35کسی که مرا از دست می دهد، به خود صدمه می زند. کسی که از من نفرت دارد، مرگ را دوست می دارد.»
36But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.”
