¹ای خداوند، ای قوّت من! تو را محبت می نمایم.

²Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

²خداوند صخرۀ من است و پناهگاه و نجات دهندۀ من. خدایم صخرۀ من است که به او پناه می برم. او سپر من و رهانندۀ نیرومند و پناهگاه امن من است.

³I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.

³خداوند را که شایستۀ ستایش است، می خوانم. پس، از دشمنانم رهایی می یابم.

⁴The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.

⁴رشته های مرگ مرا احاطه کرده و امواج نیستی مرا ترسانیده بود.

⁵The cords of Sheol Sheol is the place of the dead. were around me. The snares of death came on me.

⁵رشته های گور بدورم پیچیده شده و دامهای مرگ در سر راهم قرار داشت.

⁶In my distress I called on Yahweh, and cried to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry before him came into his ears.

⁶در افسردگی و پریشانی خود خداوند را خواندم و نزد خدای خود فریاد برآوردم. او آواز مرا از عبادتگاه مقدس خود شنید و فریاد من به حضورش به گوش وی رسید.

⁷Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.

⁷آنگاه از خشم او زمین تکان خورده و لرزان گردید. کوهها لرزیدند و اساس آن ها متزلزل شد.

⁸Smoke went out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.

⁸از بینی او دود برآمد و از دهانش شعلۀ سوزنده فروزان شد و آتش ها از آن افروخته گردید.

⁹He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.

⁹آسمان را پاره کرد و فرود آمد و زیر پاهایش تاریکی غلیظی بود.

¹⁰He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.

¹⁰بر کَروب، یعنی فرشتۀ مقرب، سوار بود و بر بالهای تندباد پرواز می کرد.

¹¹He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

¹¹تاریکی را همچو پرده و خیمه ای بدور خود قرار داد. مثل تاریکی آب های عمیق و ابر های غلیظ آسمان.

¹²At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.

¹²درخشندگی حضور او، ابر های تیره را شگافت و ژاله و شعله های آتش پدید آورد.

¹³Yahweh also thundered in the sky. The Most High uttered his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.

¹³آنگاه خداوند از آسمان با صدای رعدآسا سخن گفت و آواز خداوند متعال از میان ژاله و شعله های آتش شنیده شد.

¹⁴He sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yes, great lightning bolts, and routed them.

¹⁴پس تیرهای خود را فرستاد و ایشان را پراگنده ساخت و با رعد و برق آن ها را پریشان کرد.

¹⁵Then the channels of waters appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

¹⁵آنگاه به امر تو ای خداوند و با دمیدن نَفَس تو، اعماق بحرها نمایان شدند و اساس زمین آشکار گردید.

¹⁶He sent from on high. He took me. He drew me out of many waters.

¹⁶آنگاه از عالم بالا فرستاده، مرا برداشت و از اعماق آب های بسیار بیرون کشید.

¹⁷He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

¹⁷او مرا از دست دشمنان زورآورم رهایی داد و از بدخواهانی که قویتر از من بودند.

¹⁸They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Yahweh was my support.

¹⁸در روز بلای من بر سرم ریختند، اما خداوند پشتیبان من بود.

¹⁹He brought me forth also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

¹⁹او مرا به جای وسیع آورد و نجات داد، زیرا که از من خوشنود بود.

²⁰Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.

²⁰خداوند مرا مطابق عدالتم اجر داد و بر حسب پاکی دستم پاداش داد.

²¹For I have kept the ways of Yahweh, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

²¹زیرا که طریق های خداوند را پیروی نموده و از حضور او منحرف نگردیدم.

²²For all his ordinances were before me. I didn’t put away his statutes from me.

²²جمیع اوامر او را مد نظر داشته و فرایض او را از خود دور نکرده ام،

²³I was also blameless with him. I kept myself from my iniquity.

²³در حضور او بی عیب بوده ام و از گناه خودداری کرده ام،

²⁴Therefore Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

²⁴بنابران خداوند مرا مطابق عدالتم و بر حسب پاکی دستم پاداش داده است.

²⁵With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.

²⁵به اشخاص وفادار، وفادار هستی و به مردم کامل، کامل.

²⁶With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.

²⁶با کسانی که پاک هستند به پاکی رفتار می نمائی. با آنهائی که مکار هستند با مکر معامله می کنی.

²⁷For you will save the afflicted people, but the haughty eyes you will bring down.

²⁷زیرا مردم مظلوم را نجات می بخشی و اشخاص متکبر را سرنگون می کنی.

²⁸For you will light my lamp, Yahweh. My God will light up my darkness.

²⁸خداوندا، چراغ مرا برافروز. ای خداوند، خدای من، تو راه تاریک مرا روشن می کنی.

²⁹For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.

²⁹با کمک تو بر صفوف دشمن حمله می کنم و با خدای خود از حصارها می گذرم.

³⁰As for God, his way is perfect. The word of Yahweh is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.

³⁰راه خدا کامل است و کلام او قابل اطمینان. او برای کسانی که به او پناه می آورند، سپر است.

³¹For who is God, except Yahweh? Who is a rock, besides our God,

³¹زیرا کیست خدا غیر از یهوه؟ و کیست صخره ای غیر از خدای ما؟

³²خدایی که مرا قوّت می بخشد و راههای مرا راست می گرداند.

³³He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and sets me on my high places.

³³پاهای مرا مثل پاهای آهو چُست و چالاک ساخته است و بر کوهها استوارم نگاه می دارد.

³⁴He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.

³⁴دستهایم را برای جنگ ماهر می سازد تا بازوانم بتوانند از کمان برنجی کار بگیرند.

³⁵You have also given me the shield of your salvation. Your right hand sustains me. Your gentleness has made me great.

³⁵تو به من سپر نجات را بخشیدی. دست توانای تو حمایتم کرد و مهربانی تو مرا وسعت بخشیده است.

³⁶You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.

³⁶راه را برای قدم هایم فراخ کردی تا نلغزم.

³⁷I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them. Neither will I turn again until they are consumed.

³⁷دشمنانم را تعقیب نموده، به آن ها رسیدم و تا که آن ها را از بین نبردم بر نگشتم.

³⁸I will strike them through, so that they will not be able to rise. They shall fall under my feet.

³⁸آن ها را بزمین کوبیدم تا نتوانند برخیزند و زیر پاهایم افتادند.

³⁹For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

³⁹زیرا تو مرا برای جنگ قوّت بخشیدی و دشمنانم را بزیر پاهایم افگندی.

⁴⁰You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.

⁴⁰دشمنانم را مجبور کردی که عقب نشینی کنند و از من فرار نمایند و من خصمانم را نابود کردم.

⁴¹They cried, but there was none to save; even to Yahweh, but he didn’t answer them.

⁴¹آن ها برای کمک زاری نمودند، اما رهانندۀ نبود. بحضور خداوند استغاثه کردند، اما او هم به آن ها جوابی نداد.

⁴²Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind. I cast them out as the mire of the streets.

⁴²ایشان را مثل غبار به دست باد سپردم و مثل گِل و لای کوچه ها دور ریختم.

⁴³You have delivered me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

⁴³در جنگها پیروزم کرده، حکمفرمای ملتها ساختی و قومی را که نشناخته بودم، خدمتگار من شدند.

⁴⁴As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.

⁴⁴به مجردیکه نام مرا شنیدند تابع من گردیدند و در برابر من سر تعظیم خم کردند.

⁴⁵The foreigners shall fade away, and shall come trembling out of their close places.

⁴⁵بیگانگان جرأت خود را باخته، با ترس و لرز از قلعه های خود بیرون آمدند.

⁴⁶Yahweh lives; and blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation,

⁴⁶خداوند زنده است! متبارک باد صخرۀ من و متعال باد خدای نجات من!

⁴⁷even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.

⁴⁷خدائی که انتقام مرا از دشمنان می گیرد و ملل جهان را به دست من مغلوب می سازد.

⁴⁸He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.

⁴⁸او مرا از دست دشمنان رهایی بخشید، پیش بدخواهان سرفرازم ساخت و از مردم ظالم نجاتم داد.

⁴⁹Therefore I will give thanks to you, Yahweh, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.

⁴⁹بنابران ای خداوند، تو را در میان مردم ستایش کرده و به نام تو سرود سپاسگزاری می خوانم.او پادشاه خود را به پیروزی شایانی نایل می سازد و به برگزیدۀ خود رحمت نموده است، یعنی به داود و نسل های او تا به ابد.

⁵⁰He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed, forevermore.

⁵⁰او پادشاه خود را به پیروزی شایانی نایل می سازد و به برگزیدۀ خود رحمت نموده است، یعنی به داود و نسل های او تا به ابد.
