1The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.
1آسمان جلال خدا را آشکار می سازد و فضای بیکران صنعت دستهای او را بیان می کند.
2Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge.
2روز سخن می راند تا روز و شب معرفت خدا را بیان می کند تا شب.
3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
3بدون سخنی، بدون یک کلمه حرف و در عالم سکوت،
4Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
4پیام شان به تمام روی زمین می رسد و آواز شان از دورترین نقطۀ دنیا شنیده می شود.
5which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
5خدا برای آفتاب خیمه ای در آسمان برپا کرده است، او مثل دامادی است که از حُجلۀ خود بیرون می آید و مانند قهرمانی که بی صبرانه منتظر مسابقه می باشد.
6His going forth is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends; There is nothing hidden from its heat.
6از یک سوی آسمان به سوی دیگر می خرامد، و هیچ چیز از حرارت او پنهان نمی ماند.
7Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s testimony is sure, making wise the simple.
7شریعت خداوند کامل است و جان را تازه می سازد. شهادات خداوند قابل اطمینان است و ساده دلان را حکمت می بخشد.
8Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.
8فرایض خداوند راست است و دلها را شاد می کند. امر خداوند پاک است و چشم را روشن می کند.
9The fear of Yahweh is clean, enduring forever. Yahweh’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.
9ترس خداوند نیکوست و برقرار تا به ابد. احکام خداوند حق و کاملاً عادلانه است.
10More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.
10مرغوبتر از طلا و زر خالصِ زیاد، شیرینتر از شهد و عسل خالص.
11Moreover by them is your servant warned. In keeping them there is great reward.
11بندۀ تو از آن ها بامعرفت می شود و پیروی از آن ها پاداش بسیار دارد.
12Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.
12کیست که از سهوهای خود آگاه باشد؟ مرا از خطاهای مخفی ام پاک ساز.
13Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.
13همچنین مرا از گناهان عمدی و غرور بازدار که بر من مسلط نشوند، آنگاه بی عیب و دور از شر گناه خواهم بود.سخنان زبانم و تفکر دلم مورد پسند تو باشد. ای خداوند که پناهگاه من و نجات دهندۀ من هستی!
14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer.
