¹Yahweh, my God, I take refuge in you. Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,

¹ای خداوند، خدای من! به تو پناه می آورم. مرا از همۀ تعقیب کنندگانم نجات و رهایی ده.

²lest they tear apart my soul like a lion, ripping it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

²مبادا جان مرا مثل شیری دریده، پاره پاره کنند و نجات دهنده ای نباشد.

³Yahweh, my God, if I have done this, if there is iniquity in my hands,

³ای خداوند، خدای من! اگر این را کرده باشم که در دست من ظلمی پیدا شده،

⁴if I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me (yes, if I have delivered him who without cause was my adversary),

⁴یا خوبی را با بدی تلافی نموده و یا بی سبب مال دشمنانم را تاراج کرده باشم،

⁵let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; yes, let him tread my life down to the earth, and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.

⁵آنگاه بگذار دشمن جان مرا تعقیب نموده، به دام بیندازد و زندگی ام را بر زمین پایمال کند و عزتم را با خاک یکسان نماید.

⁶Arise, Yahweh, in your anger. Lift up yourself against the rage of my adversaries. Awake for me. You have commanded judgment.

⁶ای خداوند در غضب خود برخیز، به سبب خشم دشمنانم بلند شده و برای من بیدار شو! ای که عدالت را امر فرموده ای.

⁷Let the congregation of the peoples surround you. Rule over them on high.

⁷همۀ قوم ها به حضورت جمع شوند و تو از بارگاه ملکوتی ات بر آن ها حکمرانی فرما.

⁸Yahweh administers judgment to the peoples. Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me.

⁸خداوندا، تو داور همۀ قوم ها هستی. ای خداوند، مرا مطابق عدالتم و نظر به کمالی که در من است داوری کن.

⁹Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.

⁹بدی شریران را از بین برده و عادل را پایدار گردان، زیرا خدای عادل آزماینده دل و قلبها است.

¹⁰My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.

¹⁰سپر من خدا می باشد که راستدلان را نجات دهنده است.

¹¹God is a righteous judge, yes, a God who has indignation every day.

¹¹خداوند داور عادل است و خشم او بر شریران هر روزه آشکار می گردد.

¹²If a man doesn’t relent, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent and strung his bow.

¹²اگر کسی از گناه خود توبه نکند، خداوند شمشیر خود را تیز و کمان خود را آماده می سازد.

¹³He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death. He makes ready his flaming arrows.

¹³سلاح کشندۀ او مهیا و تیرهای آتشین او در کمان است.

¹⁴Behold, he travails with iniquity. Yes, he has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.

¹⁴زیرا شخص بدکار منشأ شرارت بوده، از ظلم حامله می گردد و دروغ را تولید می کند.

¹⁵He has dug a hole, and has fallen into the pit which he made.

¹⁵او حفره ای کنده و آنرا عمیق می سازد، اما چاهی را که برای دیگران می کند، خودش در آن می افتد.

¹⁶The trouble he causes shall return to his own head. His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.

¹⁶ظلم او بر سر خود او برگشته و ستم او بر فرق خودش فرود می آید.من از خداوند بخاطر عدالت او شکرگزارم و سرود ستایش را بنام خداوند متعال می خوانم.

¹⁷I will give thanks to Yahweh according to his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High.

¹⁷من از خداوند بخاطر عدالت او شکرگزارم و سرود ستایش را بنام خداوند متعال می خوانم.
