¹Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, who has set your glory above the heavens!

¹ای خداوند، خدای ما! چه پُر شکوه است نام تو در تمامی زمین و جلال تو مافوق آسمان ها است.

²From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.

²حمد و ستایش را از زبان کودکان و اطفال شیرخوار به سبب دشمنان برقرار نمودی تا دشمن و انتقام گیرنده را خاموش گردانی.

³When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;

³وقتی به آسمان تو می نگرم که صنعت انگشتهای توست و به ماه و ستارگانی که آفریده ای،

⁴what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?

⁴پس انسان چیست که او را به یاد آوری و بنی آدم که از او دلجویی نمایی؟

⁵For you have made him a little lower than God, Hebrew: Elohim. The word Elohim, used here, usually means “God,” but can also mean “gods,” “princes,” or “angels.” and crowned him with glory and honor.

⁵او را اندکی پائینتر از خود ساختی و تاج عزت و افتخار را بر سرش گذاشتی.

⁶You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:

⁶او را بر کارهای دست خود منصوب کرده و همه چیز را زیر پای وی قرار دادی.

⁷All sheep and cattle, yes, and the animals of the field,

⁷گوسفندان و گاوان و حیوانات وحشی را،

⁸The birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

⁸مرغان هوا و ماهیان دریا را و همه جانورانی که در آب زندگی می کنند.ای خداوند، خدای ما! چه پُر شکوه است نام تو در تمامی زمین!
