¹I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.

¹آنگاه آسمانی نو و زمین نو را دیدم. زیرا آسمان و زمینِ اول ناپدید شدند و دیگر بحری وجود نداشت.

²I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

²شهر مقدس یعنی اورشلیم جدید را دیدم که از آسمان از جانب خدا، مانند عروسی که برای شوهر خود آراسته و آماده شده باشد، به زیر می آمد.

³I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

³از تخت صدای بلندی شنیدم که می گفت: «اکنون خیمۀ حضور خدا در میان آدمیان است و او در بین آنها ساکن خواهد شد و آنها قوم برگزیدۀ او و او خدای آنها خواهد بود.

⁴He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”

⁴او هر اشکی را از چشمان آن ها پاک خواهد کرد. دیگر از مرگ و غم و گریه و درد و رنج اثری نخواهد بود، زیرا چیزهای کهنه درگذشته است.»

⁵He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”

⁵سپس آن تخت نشین گفت: «اکنون من همه چیز را از نو می سازم» و به من گفت: «این را بنویس زیرا این سخنان راست است و می توان به آن ها اعتماد کرد.»

⁶He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life.

⁶او به من گفت: «تمام شد، من الف و یا، اول و آخر هستم. من به تشنگان از آب چشمۀ زندگی، رایگان خواهم بخشید.

⁷ He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.

⁷هر که پیروز شود، این را به میراث خواهد بُرد، و من خدای او خواهم بود و او پسر من.

⁸ But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, The word for “sorcerers” here also includes users of potions and drugs. idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

⁸اما سزای بزدلان، بی ایمانان، فاسدان، آدمکشان، زناکاران، جادوگران، بت پرستان و انواع دروغگویان، بحیره ای از شعله های آتش و گوگرد خواهد بود. این است مرگ دوم.»

⁹One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, who were loaded with the seven last plagues came, and he spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the wife, the Lamb’s bride.”

⁹آنگاه یکی از آن هفت فرشته که هفت پیالۀ پُر از هفت بلای آخر را به دست داشت آمد و به من گفت: «بیا، من عروس یعنی همسر بره را به تو نشان خواهم داد.»

¹⁰He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

¹⁰او مرا در روح به کوه بسیار بلندی بُرد و شهر مقدس اورشلیم را به من نشان داد که از آسمان، از نزد خدا به زیر می آمد.

¹¹having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, as if it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

¹¹این شهر، با شکوه خدایی و مانند جواهری گرانبها می درخشید، آن مانند یشم بود و به روشنی بلور.

¹²having a great and high wall; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

¹²دیوار بسیار بلندی با دوازده دروازه داشت که بر آن ها دوازده فرشته بود و بر دروازه ها، نامهای دوازده طایفۀ بنی اسرائیل نقش بسته بود.

¹³On the east were three gates; and on the north three gates; and on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

¹³سه دروازه به جانب شرق بود، سه دروازه به جانب شمال، سه دروازه به جانب جنوب و سه دروازه به جانب غرب.

¹⁴The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.

¹⁴دیوار شهر بر دوازده سنگ بنا شده بود و بر آن سنگها، نام های دوازده رسول بره منقوش بود.

¹⁵He who spoke with me had for a measure, a golden reed, to measure the city, its gates, and its walls.

¹⁵فرشته ای که با من سخن می گفت، متری طلایی در دست داشت تا شهر و دیوارش و دروازه هایش را با آن اندازه بگیرد.

¹⁶شهر به شکل مربع و پهنا و درازایش یکی بود؛ اندازۀ آن با متری که در دست داشت، دو هزار و چهارصد کیلومتر بود. درازا و پهنا و بلندیش برابر بود.

¹⁷Its wall is one hundred forty-four cubits, 144 cubits is about 65.8 meters or 216 feet by the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.

¹⁷دیوارش به بلندی یکصد و چهل و چهار واحد اندازه گیری (احتمالاً برابر با هفتاد و دو متر) بود، یعنی به مقیاس های انسانی که آن فرشته به کار می بُرد.

¹⁸The construction of its wall was jasper. The city was pure gold, like pure glass.

¹⁸دیوارش از یشم ساخته شده بود. خود شهر از طلای خالص و مانند شیشه پاک و شفاف بود.

¹⁹The foundations of the city’s wall were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire or, lapis lazuli ; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;

¹⁹سنگ هایی که دیوارهای شهر بر آن بنا شده بودند، به انواع گوهرها آراسته شده بودند. اولین سنگ بنا از یشم و دومی از سنگ لاجورد، سومی از سنگ عقیق سفید، چهارمی از زمرد،

²⁰the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, jacinth; and the twelfth, amethyst.

²⁰پنجمی عقیق سرخ، ششمی عقیق جگری، هفتمی زبرجد سبز و هشتمی یاقوت کبود، نهمی یاقوت زرد، دهمی عقیق سبز، یازدهمی فیروزه و دوازدهمی لعل بنفش بود.

²¹The twelve gates were twelve pearls. Each one of the gates was made of one pearl. The street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

²¹دوازده دروازۀ آن شهر عبارت از دوازده مروارید بود و هر دروازه از یک مروارید ساخته شده بود. جاده های شهر از طلای خالص و مانند شیشه پاک و شفاف بود.

²²I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple.

²²در شهر عبادتگاهی ندیدم، زیرا عبادتگاهش خود خداوند، خدای قادر مطلق و بره بود.

²³The city has no need for the sun, neither of the moon, to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

²³شهر احتیاج به آفتاب و ماه نداشت که بر آن بدرخشد، زیرا شکوه خدا بر آن نور می داد و چراغ آن بره است.

²⁴The nations will walk in its light. The kings of the earth bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.

²⁴در نور او ملتها راه خواهند رفت و پادشاهان زمین همۀ جلال خود را به آنجا خواهند آورد.

²⁵Its gates will in no way be shut by day (for there will be no night there),

²⁵دروازه های شهر در روز بسته نمی شوند و شب نیز در آنجا نخواهد بود.

²⁶and they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it so that they may enter.

²⁶ثروت و جلال ملتها به آنجا خواهد آمد،اما هیچ ناپاکی وارد آن نخواهد شد و نه کسی که گفتارش ناراست و کارهایش زشت و پلید است، بلکه تنها آن کسانی که نام شان در کتاب زندگی بره نوشته شده است به آن وارد می شوند.

²⁷There will in no way enter into it anything profane, or one who causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

²⁷اما هیچ ناپاکی وارد آن نخواهد شد و نه کسی که گفتارش ناراست و کارهایش زشت و پلید است، بلکه تنها آن کسانی که نام شان در کتاب زندگی بره نوشته شده است به آن وارد می شوند.
