¹I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written inside and outside, sealed shut with seven seals.

¹آنگاه دیدم که تخت نشین، طوماری در دست راست دارد که هر دو طرف آن نوشته شده و با هفت مُهر، مُهر و لاک شده بود.

²I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?”

²و فرشتۀ نیرومندی را دیدم که با صدای بلند می گفت: «چه کسی شایسته است که طومار را باز کند و مُهرهایش را بردارد؟»

³No one in heaven above, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look in it.

³اما هیچ کس در آسمان یا روی زمین و یا زیر زمین قادر نبود که طومار را باز کند و یا به داخل آن ببیند.

⁴And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look in it.

⁴من زار زار می گریستم، زیرا کسی یافت نشد که شایستۀ آن باشد که طومار را باز کند و یا به داخل آن ببیند.

⁵One of the elders said to me, “Don’t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome; he who opens the book and its seven seals.”

⁵آنگاه یکی از پیران به من گفت: «گریه مکن زیرا آن شیر، شیری که از طایفۀ یهودا و نهالی از نسل داود است، پیروز شده و او حق باز کردن طومار و برداشتن هفت مُهر آن را دارد.»

⁶I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.

⁶آنگاه دیدم که در بین همان تخت سلطنت و در میان آن حیوانات و پیران، بره ای ایستاده بود، که علامت برۀ قربانی شده را داشت. آن بره دارای هفت شاخ و هفت چشم بود. هفت چشمی که هفت روح خدا هستند و به تمام دنیا فرستاده شده اند.

⁷Then he came, and he took it out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne.

⁷بره پیش آمد و طومار را از دست راست تخت نشین گرفت.

⁸Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

⁸همین که او آنرا گرفت آن چهار حیوان و بیست و چهار پیر، پیش بره سجده کردند. پیران به یک دست چنگ داشتند و به دست دیگر جام های زرینِ پُر از بخور که نشانۀ دعاهای مقدسین است.

⁹They sang a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood, out of every tribe, language, people, and nation,

⁹آن ها سرود نوی می سرائیدند:«تو شایسته ای که، طومار را بگیری، و مُهرهایش را باز کنی، زیرا تو کشته شدی و با خون خود مردمان را از هر قبیله و زبان، از هر ملت و امت برای خدا خریدی.

¹⁰and made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign on earth.”

¹⁰تو آنها را به سلطنت رسانیدی تا به عنوان کاهنان، خدای ما را خدمت کنند و آن ها بر زمین فرمانروایی خواهند کرد.»

¹¹I saw, and I heard something like a voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands;

¹¹آنگاه نگاه کردم و صدای فرشتگان بی شماری را که صدها هزار و هزاران هزار بودند، شنیدم. آن ها دَور آن تخت و حیوانات و پیران ایستاده بودند

¹²saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing!”

¹²و با صدای بلند فریاد می زدند:«برۀ قربانی شده شایسته است تا قدرت و ثروت و حکمت و توانایی، حُرمت و جلال و تمجید بیابد.»

¹³I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen! TR omits “Amen!” ”

¹³آنگاه می شنیدم که همۀ موجودات آسمان و زمین و زیر زمین و بحر و هرچه در آن ها است فریاد می کردند:«ستایش و عزت، جلال و قدرت، از آنِ کسی باد که بر تخت سلطنت می نشیند و تا به ابد از آنِ بره باد!»و آن چهار حیوان گفتند: «آمین» و پیران سجده نموده، او را پرستش کردند.

¹⁴The four living creatures said, “Amen!” The TR adds “twenty-four” elders fell down and worshiped. TR adds “the one living forever and ever”
