¹But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come.

¹Žinok, kad paskutinėmis dienomis užeis sunkūs laikai,

²For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

²nes žmonės bus savimylos, pinigų mylėtojai, pagyrūnai, išdidūs, piktžodžiautojai, neklusnūs tėvams, nedėkingi, nešventi,

³without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,

³nemylintys, nesutaikomi, šmeižikai, nesusivaldantys, šiurkštūs, nekenčiantys to, kas gera,

⁴traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;

⁴išdavikai, užsispyrę, pasipūtėliai, labiau mylintys malonumus negu Dievą,

⁵holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.

⁵turintys dievotumo išvaizdą, bet atsižadėję jo jėgos. Šalinkis tokių žmonių!

⁶For some of these are people who creep into houses, and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

⁶Iš jų yra tie, kurie įsiskverbia į namus ir pavergia silpnas moterėles, pilnas nuodėmių, geidulių vedžiojamas,

⁷always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

⁷nuolat besimokančias ir vis nesugebančias pasiekti tiesos pažinimo.

⁸Even as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these also oppose the truth; men corrupted in mind, who concerning the faith, are rejected.

⁸Kaip Janas ir Jambras priešinosi Mozei, taip ir jie priešinasi tiesai. Tai žmonės sugedusio proto, netikusio tikėjimo.

⁹But they will proceed no further. For their folly will be evident to all men, as theirs also came to be.

⁹Bet jie toli nenužengs, nes jų kvailumas, kaip ir anų, bus visiems regimas.

¹¹persekiojimais, sunkumais, kurie mane ištiko Antiochijoje, Ikonijuje, Listroje. O kokių tik persekiojimų man neteko iškęsti! Bet iš visų išgelbėjo mane Viešpats.

¹²Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

¹²Taip ir visi, kurie trokšta dievotai gyventi Kristuje Jėzuje, bus persekiojami.

¹³But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

¹³Pikti žmonės ir suvedžiotojai eis blogyn, klaidindami ir klysdami.

¹⁴But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.

¹⁴O tu pasilik prie to, ką išmokai ir įtikėjai, žinodamas, iš ko išmokai.

¹⁵From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁵Tu nuo vaikystės žinai šventuosius Raštus, galinčius tave pamokyti išgelbėjimui per tikėjimą, kuris yra Kristuje Jėzuje.

¹⁶Every Scripture is God-breathed and or, Every writing inspired by God is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness,

¹⁶Visas Raštas yra Dievo įkvėptas ir naudingas mokyti, barti, taisyti, auklėti teisumui,

¹⁷that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

¹⁷kad Dievo žmogus taptų tobulas, pasiruošęs kiekvienam geram darbui.
